About CLIP:- Gorr: The God Butcher sends his monster of shadows to New Asgard to seek Thor's attention. He succeeds and Thor comes to fight in the battle. While fighting, Thor sees his ex-hammer flying and killing monsters, he tries to call him but instead his hammer "Mjolnir" goes to another perosn dresses as Thor. He goes and asks the person that who he/she is..and gets shocked after knowing that its Jane Foster, his ex. When he was trying to process all this, Gorr suddenly attacks him and then happens their first meeting with each other.

Man, I love seeing Gorr teleport. Every time I've seen a movie or show character teleport, there's some kind of vapor or trail effect or something similar. I love seeing how he just seems to disappear and then reappear somewhere else in an instant. I want that type of teleportation to be done more in movies

Probably more horrific if they allow the necrosword to speak (mainly only Gorr can hear it). As the sword originally is encased and coated by a symbiote.
Fr though. Gorr was working well as an actually scary character. Even in the moments he shows a "goofy" side, he's more intimidating. A Gorr movie where he's literally just hunting down gods one after another, set in the PoV of his targets would probably work well as a Horror. And then, have it so Thor is constantly one step behind to save Gorr's victims. It would've been a great way to set Gorr as a horrifying villain, while setting Thor's character straight, and finally write off this Goofy Thor out of MCU.
Anything other that taika watities directing, he ruined Thor

Christian Bale didn't knew a sh1t about Gorr after he was casted. My man just took a damn comic book and started to dig. As a result he ended up being the best thing about this film. That's some dedication to your work...

I forgot how tonally all over this movie is until I started rewatching clips of it. In this two minute clip, we have Thor drop three jokes, we get a horror movie stunger when Gorr first teleports, you have Bale doing a serious portrayal. Lord

The painful flashbacks of losing his father, mother, loki, Jane, heimdal etc. Screams with pain, through clinched teeth and anger... Bloody Tears pool in the corners of his eyes*
Then and only then, does Gorr get blindsided by an off screen hit, Thor collapses to all fours, and both take separate glances over from the direction the attack came, to see Jane catch mjolnir... They battle, Jane's clear lack of experience is no match for Gorr, when Jane is in absolute peril, Thor goes into an absolute berserker rage, seeing the near death of Jane, red arcs of lightening... Not upset because Gorr "touched his things" it's about love and thunder... At that moment Thor becomes the most powerful being in all of the MCU due to his love for Jane and the rage from fear of losing her after losing so many he has loved... He solos Gorr momentarily blood lusted, even potentially getting cut with the necrosword, as he pushes stormbreaker down against Gorr's neck. Gorr disappears, Thor confused, collapses, then awakens sometime later with Jane staring down at him, as he looks up at her.
That's a fucking scene you morons at Disney... Could be done in the same two freaking minutes this trash was.

Hmmmm it sound a bit over the top and tbh i feel like having thor SUDDENLY be like that would a bit strange to the audience. Instead of being hooked on the scene like it's totally obvious you want them to. The contrast will probably make them go " what's up all of a sudden why is thor so edgy ?"

He had the opportunity to be one of those menacing villains.
The way Gorr's entry was shot initially is pretty damn intimidating. Reminds me of Death's appearance in Puss in Boots 2, I definitely liked that horror element.
Would've been fascinating to see Thor confronted with Gorr as a thematic representation of inevitable Death that he has to take seriously, would've meshed nicely with Jane Foster's terminal illness.

Comics Gorr still struggled against them. All-Father Thor literally one-shot Gorr and made him feel fear. Normal Thor and young viking Thor also landed powerful hits on him. The only reason Gorr won was that he killed many of his god slaves during the fight, which made him a lot stronger.
Valkyrie is one of the strongest Asgardians to ever live, beating the shit out of Loki and somewhat holding her own against Hela. And she later obtained the weapon of the ruler of the most powerful gods in the entire universe, which is the *only* reason she could fight against Gorr.
Knockoff Thor is just as powerful as Thor Odinson thanks to Mjolnir's enchantment.

How on earth do you screw a film so badly. Peak Hemsworth, Oscar winning Bale, following the god butcher comics.. This should've been the best comic book movie of all time. Instead it's a film most people are embarrassed to have watched. It's so sad.

Had such high hopes for this film but was almost a comedy, took away how good gor was.
The movie was originally 3 hours long with new characters, new worlds and more scenes with Gorr. But they cut it into 2 hours and 1 minute as the studio felt it was too dark for a family superhero film.

This movie was not bad in my opinion, I enjoyed the plot despite the terrible CGI... Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness was far worse!

So Spider Man No Way Home wins by default for Phase 4 I know many people say it’s the best movie in phase 4 but this movie is so good that it made Tom Spider Man a badass and happy to see Tobey and Andrew come back.
