When i was a teenager i had a bunch of metal cassette tapes i bought crossover, 4 of a kind and thrash zone. I used to sit in my room for hours trying to figure out guitar riffs. loved it. some family members got together had a talk, they thought this type of music was making me anti social and "suicidal" i wasn't either. i was just really getting into the music and practicing guitar. they tool ALL of my tapes. i was very upset to say the least. then i said F it. i scrounged up some cash and bought Thrash Zone on CD. and cranked that shit in the house. i still have the very same CD in my car today. it has been over 30 years . still crank it up sometimes when driving to work. still lovin' it.
Mine did the same over "..And Justice for All'. Trashed my entire collection. I've replaced mostly all of them by now, but a lot of that would be worth money now. I had bootlegs, bands that are broken up and out of print...just sad.
I raised my kids better. We all jam each others music together. We all make music together.
Lol the satanic panic lol
it isn't a complete collection without a suicidal tendencies tape 💯
Hell yeah!!!
I hope you got that Pepsi
Killed it at Muddy Roots 2023!!! Thank you so much for playing our backyard.
Still hot in 2024
Don't u miss these days..I SURE AS THE FUCK DO...
Amon Amarth - The Pursuit of Vikings
🇨🇴🤟🏻
Prob be hotter next year. And the next. And the next. Global warming....
The water is on fire!!!
DRI was a staple of my skate/thrasher days in the late 80s-early 90s. So much good music came out of those few short years and still is better than the drivel that passes for music today!
What 🤔 ? You don't feel the need to skateboard after jammin Amy Lee Evinesence on the Boom Box set down on the curb ? Whatta bout Dream Theater, kinda could be considered Skater Thrash ...👀🤞
tell me GO HOME 💪😂🖕NOW
@@rustleweighed-thrasherdream theater’s a great band (don’t listen to them much myself but credits due where it’s due) but it’s tough to skateboard to prog music in general
@@leoncorbett4553 My comment was dripping with sarcasm. Thrash is the only music to skate to.

Damn 2024 and still smashing
And truer than ever 😢
the best crossover band that ever existed.
One of the best plus the architects of crossover with their album "Crossover"
Fuckin A Dude!!!! These guys are the crossover godfathers!!
Def one of them also a pioneer with suicidal tendencies
naaa la mejor y pionera es THE ACCUSED!! , DRI le puso nombre al genero como venom le puso al black metal
Well they invented the term
That bass is so intense.. Love bass gunnin like that .. DRI rocks
Pure trash from the hell
BONK!!, de dedede dede, BONK!! Bass fkn pounds, that s..t is heavy 🤨🤟
Love that bass tone love that guitar crunch ! DRI is so underrated, thrash pioneers.
Beats the Hell out of country.
Hardcore/punk as well.
@Drew K Not really. I talk to Kurt and Spike semi-regular, and they have barely broke even, or at best didn't have to work a day job the whole time. They do better now than when they started, fer shure, but by my estimates, they each make about what I do as a farm worker per year via touring. Not to mention Spike's HUGE medical bills from his cancer treatments.
@Drew K But they DESERVE to be bigger. In my "Big Four" for sure.
Saw these guys live at an old speakeasy. They walked around and I managed to get their signatures on my hat. Fuckin epic show, great guys.
Had a friend named Scott. We saw DRI back in 1990 at the Showcase in San Antonio. He bought a white tour shirt and wore it throughout the show. At the end of the show from a night in the pit he had a huge fucking footprint right in the middle of the back of it. He refused to wash it because he didn't want that footprint to go away.
Awesome show. Still one of my all-time favorites.
3Storms also Id rather not smell like dumpster garbage
Dand
hahaha
Hang that shit on the wall. Memories of better music then this pussy liberal shit that mommy & daddy financed.
My friend who introduced me to DRI told me his story of breaking his nose twice in one night at their gig and still has his old bloodstained buckfast tshirt, love hearing old gig stories
Dand you ok there pal? Sounds like you've been stomped out in a pit like weenie boy.
3:46 3:52 those images are burned into my brain.
Saw D.R.I. at the International Ballroom in Atlanta back in the day. When this song played one of the biggest circle pits I have been in formed. Great times!
The line up of bass this wonderful !!
I love song .
D.R.I ❤️
CLASSIC thrash metal, all the elements are here, old school !
One of the best videos reflecting the content of the music. You can feel acid rain showering on your skin by watching this video.

I was 13 when I was introduced to these guys in 93’. Even listening to them now I love the mastering of even including the bass guitar into the mix. 🤘🏻 Another band with Houston roots.
Not many H-Town bands get acknowledgement. These dudes did this it in other cities!!!! 💪
This song never gets old , I bought this album when it came out 🤘
See you guys in every decade. Still my favorite band.
This riles my loins. Thank you DRI
I seen these guys play in the early 80's in Tijuana, a place called "Iguana's" met the drummer Rob Ramby, hell of a guy & drummer... I love this band forever. Im a bass player & love the bass on this song. EVERY SONG. EVERYTHING, SPIKE & KURT... DRI FOREVER
+Andy Solis Yes! Spent many nights at Iguanas. Was in the Navy in S.D. Only 20 so had to go to Mexico to drink in a bar. Curfew was midnight for E-3's. If you didn't make it back across the border by then, well shit, you just had to stay ALL NIGHT!! Boo fuckin' hoo. lol
Awesome use of double bass on this track. Rare for the era it's from.
Best Crossover Ever Made to this Day.! Love my DRI
Have loved this band for years. Keep kicking ass!!!!
Love these guys since I was a skater. Distinct sound and a million riffs in one song..missed seeing them when they came. So bummed..some people have bin Jovi in their memories, these guys give me happy days and good flashbacks. Always sang relavent

D.R.I and Testament ‘92 Vancouver is STILL one of my favourite shows I’ve ever been too. Punk Rockers and Thrashers and everyone in between all together having fun. Perfect for an 18 year old!! Thank you

I'll be seeing them next April!
If you make a Drummer Sing to this while playing the Drums you guys got my respect
BANGER
Completely awesome.
Saw you in Fresno twice we love you!!
DRI shows are always such a mix of people...you got the hardcore/punks, the metal heads, the crossover folks, skaters, skinheads of both persuasions and anyone else curious to see what's going on. I've seen DRI so many times, from the early 90's to recent times. The one thing that remains a constant is that DRI is consistently good. You never get shortchanged at a DRI show, and if you feel that you did, that's on you.
What about that other crossover Band S.O.D? But now that guy is a guitarist for that band Anthrax. His name is Scott Ian.
SEEN 3X.FIRST TIME .4 OF A KIND TOUR 1988
Great album and severely underrated.
The voice of the singer always reminded me on Geere from Tankard back when he was young.
saw DRI in 85 - my first show
Been going to DRI shows since 85 too, the Livingroom in Prov RI....now, its The Balcony in Philly
adam unknown Lethal Aggression
I wanted to see DRI in 1985 but i was too young to get in the club. I remember stealing the gig poster from a indie record store. In 2019 i still regret not seeing that show b/c looking at the poster, Green River was the opening act ! (members of Pearl Jam & Mudhoney's former band)
The video was written, directed and produced by Tony Kunewalder and Musikfilm. I'm in it. tony was my best friend and he died in a fire in 1994
CROSSOVER!!!!!!
One of the biggest ever
cool song 🤘
Directed by Tony Kunewalder. That's me screaming on top of the car.
Legend
Always and forever one of my favorite bands! Haven't had a new album in forever it seems, and you don't need one, all of the stuff you have done stands up just as well if not better today!!🤘🤘🤘
Yup...ppl want new music by them, but the ones they have will sustain...talk abt sustainability 🤣
Been listening to these guys sense the 80s.
Badass finally get to see them 5/20.

Man this is such a good song. I wish more people my age knew about D.R.I. Spike, you’re so awesome!
Awesome song to skate to
Spike is my hero. Can’t say enough good things about him🤘🤘🤘
Just saw these guys live this last Friday in Dallas, got in my first circle pit and got thrown around like a rag doll. It was fucking awesome!
Ferrell Manes
clearly i can hear all the instruments....
The organ played by almighty Jon Lord seems abscent though. The intro futures desperately horny male seagulls and panflutes blown by demonically possessed and hypocritical semi-catholics with irish heritage. The producer left that intro out of the demo recordings from late '88. Jon Lord slowly rots in the gutters of Livonia, Michigan, birthplace of Mike Modano. The first overall draft pick of the draft in '88 (NHL) by the North stars, later relocated to Dallas, renamed to Stars, to avoid to much brain use. Drafted as a pure offensive center he later translated to a 2-way forward (not referring to his sexual preferences) under the guidance of Kevin Hitchc**k. The lord of the organ (Jon Lord) still grieves his loss of the intro. Schizophrenia brought him to hell, Ridperidon to a imagined heaven. Good song though.

These guys are excellent.
Od roku 86,kdy jsem se setkal s vaší muzikou, jsem vděčný, že jste a děkuji vám...🤘😝🤘
Thank You !! 🤘😁🎸
I remember the same year in december of 92, myself laying on bed and asking mum if she would be so kind and go to the Rec Rec store and buy that album on vinyl (for gramophone) 😄 i wrote on small paper to her what i want, she went to the store and gave saleman paper and gave her album. She came home after the rain and gave me LP and i was so happy and cos i learn bass at that time i was wondering how the hack was bassist get that sound and after few years i realize - good bass, new strings and good amp with right speaker cabinet. It was so easy - but costly 😅😁
Extraordinary bass!!!!!
These guys coming to NC in two weeks. Can't fxxkin wait, 👊👊👊
Still hot in 2021

this song definition of musicianship !
My favorite one ❤ dri was my very first band ever ❤
Spike Cassidy very underrated guitar we luv ya !
wish I would've discovered this band earlier, absolutely kickass!!
DRI forever!!
This BC Rich gunslinger is one killer guitar. Too cool. I watched this video when it premiered on headbangers ball. I wanted that guitar soooo bad. ( and the gunslingers from the King Diamond "sleepless nights" video) Just looking at this guitar sitting on a stand you can hear metal riffs being created. I wonder if he still has it?
so cuteful - gotta love all the metal music videos with the bands playing/posing in it (nice set + open shirt and wind in your hair Kurt ;) ) - while trying to tell the serious story of the lyrics with a second visual stream.....btw. Definiton was my 1st DRI lp....still love it....
Siempre los he escuchado excelente banda lml

SPIKE- Do you still have all of your old guitars from the 80's-90's?
Most off them. Like the BC Rich in this video. Both les Paul’s. The Kramer. Etc
Hi Spike, my dad and I met you and Jana at the Gramercy theater about a month earlier. That was a great show. Sonick Plague and Extinction A.D. Were also awesome. We can't wait until you guys come to the New Jersey/New York area again. Maybe Dingbatz, best buy theater, starland ballroom, chance/loft, or Mexicali? Thank you for a great birthday. \m/
