That arm removal hurt Bucky more than any other physical pain. It was at that moment he realised nobody really trusts him.
I mean hes merely an outsider to wakanda ,and he didnt really do that much to help their country so they really should take measures for someone carrying their tech freely around

Maybe not. See the way to interpret this is that all things need regular maintenance. Especially when it comes to high tech prosthetics. So naturally they would install a way to remove Bucky's arm in the event he ever needed a new one to replace it. Even if its made out of vibranium.
The thing is. The Dora Milaj know how to take it off and not just the ones who gave it to him.

I use a wheelchair, and this scene is terrifying.
When you rely on prosthetics/medical equipment, it becomes almost a part of you. Once you learn to use them they allow you to have a more normal life, to “feel human again.” Someone simply removing that, leaving you utterly helpless-it’s almost like they’re stripping away the humanity you fought so hard to regain. It’s a special kind of horrifying that I’m not sure if the non-disabled have.
I can completely understand being in your shoes, but never actually having lost any limbs. I know what its like to lose your identity though. Having it stripped from you.
I had a scare in January where I lost a lot of hearing in my right ear overnight. I caught it in time and got meds and recovered, but since my life is music, I felt like I lost myself and would never be able to produce music again. I can't imagine the dread I'd feel if someone just took my hearing in an instant like that.
The biggest fight I have ever been in, it's one time a bully took off my glasses, I was so mad the fight ended with my finger in his eye,

For me it is my glasses. Without them I am medically classified as blind. With them I can see. But when someone removes them without asking me I get a special kind of terror that I don't feel from anywhere else.

The thing that breaks my heart is that he wasn’t ever trying to hurt her, he was trying to calm her down so they could talk. And in response, she uses the strongest 'attack' she has and takes away one of his limbs. Not just taking his arm away for the moment, but shoving into his face the fact that they built in a failsafe and never truly trusted him.
The shocked, horrified look on his face... it kills me.
It’s made of vibranium but so was captains shield and it was destroyed in endgame. So Buckys arm could also be damaged or broken so this could be a way to replace it not just cause they don’t trust him

It bothered me too, but someone with Black Panther like strength who may or may not turn psychotic on you with a few words definitely needs a way to be (sorry for the pun I couldn't resist) disarmed quickly.
I think Bucky would be more devastated if he came to and had done something horrible again, but with one less limb it's easier to overpower him.

To be fair, if Bucky was TRYING to fight , even with 1 arm he'd probably beat all of them. He was the only super soldier in the room at that point.

It's clear he is shocked and that she crossed the line.
However, I was already on my way out by the time this was released. MCU had it's time and then they got infiltrated by misandrists who couldn't write or plot well.
It was at this moment that Bucky realized that she never really trusted him and the real reason she was never afraid to help him is because she always had the ability to disarm him at any moment if things got out of hand

you know one of the most horrifying things about this is that was two precise strikes and the arm comes off which means she practiced this she got GOOD at doing this, this isnt just we dont trust you this is "fuck you" on a personal level, so not only did they design a prosthetic to be easily removed they trained people to specifically do this to him
Well, practice isn't exactly required when the industrial design is intuitive (to them) and part of centuries of culture. Like, you don't need adult practicing to turn a door knob, or hold a dog leash. Granted, some childhood practice to know Wakandan stuff, but she knew exactly where the on and off switches are and how much effort it takes. To her it's just a door knob.

He just stood there while she disarmed him. His right arm is to his side, not being held back by anything. He could reach, throw a punch, anything, but he just kinda lets this one happen. Amazing.
When she first tapped his arm, there was a flash as if the arm locked up. Her subsequent motion caused it to shift and detach. It was likely that even if he wanted to punch with that arm, he couldn't.
He was probably like “what the fuck??” Cause he had this look of confusion on his face. He was more flabbergasted than scared by what she was doing.
This scene and GotG Holiday special make me think he has his own arm now where no one can remove it. When your life is on the line, the last thing you want is your enemies knowing your weak points. Contingency.
Exactly what I was thinking after GOTG. Hopefully he’s got one with a Star- maybe a blue or white one to separate him from The Winter Soldier but keep his Military/Patriotic aesthetic. I always thought the red star looked way cooler than the Wakandan arm.

What was weird about this series is that they really made the antagonist feel like a misunderstood hero.

People are saying this is pretty heartbreaking because it means nobody trusts Bucky, I mean they might have installed it not out of a lack of trust but as a safety measure. They literally fought aliens and god like beings. If Bucky were to get mind controlled or something, it's pretty useful to know that they can disable his arm. Not to mention he was already mind controlled before, not impossible for it to happen again lol.

Super soldiers aren't ultra powerful otherworldly beings, dude. They're just humans with peak vital conditions, which means they're more durable but not invincible. Plus, what Ayo disarmed is Bucky's new prosthetic arm, which was Wakanda's gift for him (and therefore it makes sense that she knows how to disarm it).
