Don't sleep on these, they are amazing for the price. I had a ground issue that was an easy fix, I had to sand the paint off the bottom of the bridge and it was fixed. The only thing I'll change on mine are the tuning machines because they feel cheap.
They all have a ground issue because the quality control is horrible, you shouldn't have to fix a brand new guitar, especially for new people who dont know how and are getting a cheaper guitar to start out with. As well as zero relief in the neck and horribly uneven frets.
Enjoy hearing this guitar on the bridge pickup. Your older demo does sound like a 7 string. The only picks I noticed was a green one on top of amp and the pick in hole of guitar. hope all is well.
Thank you! The green pick is a regular Clayton pick and the one in the acoustic is also a regular Clayton pick. The unique pick appears for about a minute
This was my first seven string I had not ever played one, But it is great actually still play it never bought another seven string just a great thing to play at home.
I’ve owned many a guitar in my life. Just ordered one of these (satin version) with a Nazgûl rail for the bridge. I’ll eventually change the tuners and bridge as well. Should some pretty good with that pickup
JUST ORDER MINE YESTERDAY BUT IT SATIN BLACK AND NECK AND THE NECK IS A DARK COLOR CANT WAIT ! I OWN 8 GUITAR THEY ALL 6 STRING SO IT WILL BE MY FIRST 7 STRING!!
I just bought one of these. I hope I dont regret it. It was kind an impulse buy. I may take it back for a six string seeing as I dont really play that hard of metal.
I have a Schecter SGR C-7, I think I paid around $150 for it new back in like 2017. I don’t think they’re available anymore, and that’s for the better… It’s absolute Firewood. I mean, it was $150 but still, just awful… It needs Sooooooooo much work that I haven’t even bothered 🤦♂️ One of these days I suppose 😂
Haven't played since my old guitar got broken moving house but wanting to pick it up again, problem is I mostly listen to and would play mostly 6 string stuff, but there's enough 7 string stuff out there i enjoy that I'm tempted to get a 7 string so my question is: How awkward does it feel trying to play 6 string songs on a 7? My concern is mostly around stuff like Master of Puppets, Unholy Confessions, Creeping death etc type riffs and hitting the B by mistake.
Personally I'd go with a 6 string if that's mostly what you'll be playing. Not that it's not doable to play 6 string songs on a 7 string (it obviously is) but I'd personally prefer a 6 string for things like Master of Puppets and Creeping Death.
@@bartconinckx yes, of course, so you're going to have to make your own assessment based on the recordings in this and other videos. If they sound good to you they're good for recording. If they don't sound good to you then they're not good.
@@ArtOfShredYT My Bitdefender would not let me open the link from my email, but I found another way. Is it Nirvana? Although in the video it looks like at least two words in the name.
I dont recommend this guitar at all because they were made as pieces of craps with zero quality control. The first one I had, had a problem with the bridge ground buzzing, so I replaced it. And now the replacement has a Loose Tone Pot inside the guitar causing a different ground buzz issue, as well as crackling from the input. These guitars are not anything at all.

Heck yeah! Too bad you had the grounding issue, but yeah those are one of the easier fixes that seem difficult. I agree re: the tuners
I've had to do that on both my budget hard tail Jacksons. Crazy they don't do that from the factory.

I just got one of these today as my 1st 7 string guitar and it's treating me well so far.
nice! 🤘
This was my first seven string I had not ever played one, But it is great actually still play it never bought another seven string just a great thing to play at home.
Nice! I could see never needing to get a different 7 string if it wasn't your primary instrument. This one does the job

Ive got one and changed the pickups to actives. Got a tech to give it a set up and its been great

It's a good budget 7 string, but they're not for everybody
Got one a few years back, put in some Nazgul pups, it's an amazing guitar

I got a budget Jackson Rhoads model 7 string V. It's pretty sweet.
Heck yeah, those look fun!
RHOADS*. That was the worst butchering of Randy's last name I have seen so far lol

Is the pick in the acoustic guitar soundhole?
That's a trick pick. Just a regular Clayton guitar pick. Not the unique pick in question.
what are these like for recording?
If you don't mind the pickups they're good
@@ArtOfShredYT right, but those determine the sound a lot, no?

Woah, wait....what strings did you use to tune down to B on a 6 string?
Haha, basically the heaviest strings of a 7 string set. I stated "wound G string" in the video, but I meant a wound 3rd string.

It's a great budget 7 string, but I don't doubt you can get unlucky with QC issues
