I found it funny at the end, and even chuckle out loud, when Pastor Doug said that if he got through by the skin of his teeth and was a janitor on the streets... I've said nearly the same only in my version... I'm a homeless saint living under a bridge, I don't need a lot, I just want to be able to see and live with Jesus. guess I found it funny that someone, who is probably a much better saint than I, thinking the same way as me

I hope you can get housed. Its true that Jesus was homeless and understands how it feels. I have also been homeless its awful, but I think God carries us through trials. I was feeling at a very low ebb, when I found God again, I had found Him before, but rather went off the rails. I t was only, later in life, I found Him again, and its true, the Lord raised me up, as I was nearly going out of my mind, with all the problems I was having, year after year, if it wasnt one thing it was the other! but god rescued me, and I am so thankful for what I have now. I am not materialistic, rather just happy with the basics. I have a TV thats really old, but its reliable. I've had it said to me "dont you want a more modern one?" Not really, I.m not fussed. Its liable that i might get given one in the future, if so, fair enough. (My son wants to) but i dont crave these things, the way I look at it, you cant take it with you. I dont understand these mutimillionaires who still keep striving to make more wealth, yet they will never spend what they've got in 10 lifetimes, never mind one! we should all learn to be content with what we hav, but the trouble is, younger people dont see it that way, they feel they have to have the latest i-phone etc. to be happy. I dont even have a mobile phone anymore, (the ones I had are well out of date! as people would say ,prehistoric. they are in the cupboard somewhere) I have a laptop given to me its getting old now, well it seems in the ever-changing world of technology, it is . but i'm quite happy with it, all the while it works. "But its time you upgraded" is what I hear. We live in a very materialistic world. I will be really glad when Jesus returns, it cant get much worse, can it? Anyway, I hope your circumstances improve, no-one should have to live like that in an affluent country, its all wrong. When Jesus returns He will right these wrongs. Remember the Rich man and Lazarus? You'll get your turn, as Lazarus did. It cant be right that some people have everything and others so little. there has to be a reckoning and i think its coming soon.

Buddy Guy, the scriptures say that Christ never touches the earth when he returns. The Bible also talks about a parable where someone came to the wedding and was not invited and Jesus sent them away. They were cleansed of their sins. He Christ died that all may come to repentence. There is another scripture about the 10 virgins, 5 were prepared and 5 were not. Remember 5 of the brides ask the other 5 brides to give them their oil so they would not have any for themselves. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. You have to get Him for yourselves. You share His spirit through demonstrating it to others. You can not issue it out though. This is the work of the Holy Spirit alone!

Nobody Goody the whole purpose is that all the dead in Christ are believers in Christ that have died b4 the 2nd coming. They will be caught up first, then the ppl that are alive in Christ(believers) will go up to join them. That's why it says at the wend of that chapter in 1thessalonians 3:18, to comfort each other with these words because that lets ppl know that they will see their loved ones again.

I know this. Jesus says when he comes all will see him, hear him, and feel the earth shake, some will hide, but the brightness of his light will get them. so who got away to live another seven years? satan is spirit, not physical. . he has a 1000 years to repent and he wont, god loves all his creatures and loves so much , he shows us his love, yet satasn wiull try to attack the city, proving to u, how bad he is. god is love. it is against his nature to kill those that refuse him. it says so, it is against his nature, bein glove. I am sorry, but at 26: 14, when he was talking about us having doubt in Heaven. He is wrong. There will be no doubt about Gods righteous judgement at all. We will completely understand when we get there. You will not have to, nor would you, walk up to an angel and ask if God did the right thing, or if He made a mistake or not. That's just not right.

Your both correct and yet wrong at the same time. At the 2nd coming the righteous will go up and we may have questions about why so and so is not there. The angels than will open the books and show us why love one so and so isnt there or murderer so and so is there.
The 1,000 year period is when we get to judge things. Not as in write or wrong, but we get to judge as in "Wow, okay thats why she/he isn't here" or "Wow, didnt know that person was so truly noble and repented after the murder". There will be questions at first. The Bible says all Doubt and sin will be gone at the 3rd Advent. Which is when the City comes down with him. That is when Sin and sorrow and doubt finally and fully get destroyed.
Now okay maybe doubt isnt a Good word cause we ALL know God is right, but we may ask for better knowledge of why so and so isnt there or is there. And that was what he was getting at. God knows all and we dont so we will want to inquire, not that we think God is wrong but we just dont understand the wway God does and angels will teach us the things we ask for.
Sin and all that is only COMPLETELY destroyed at the 3rd coming, there wont be sin in heaven but that doesnt mean there wont be questions, there will always be questions of one thing or another. God knows all and we dont so I know i will want to know soooo many things.

I believe the wicked will be resurrected in their youth, but will be raised in the flesh - like Lazarus was. They are unlikely to be the age they died and then go and storm the Holy City on their zimmer frames and angrily tap on the walls with their walking sticks.
but Isaiah did say about "old men and women will once again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, and children playing in the streets" There will be" no-one making them afraid" and he made a reference of "great age" Could it be the 1,000 years is a time of things being restored as it says in the Scriptures the end of the age (aeon) rather than the end of the world (in the sense" planet") the "world " can also refer to people, as we often use that word in a loose sense.but it seems the translation means "age" the time we are in. (We don't know how long that could be for) could it be that in the millennium it will take time,to reach perfection, as Adam lived for 900 odd years and, when i asked a religious leader about this, they stated that Adam was still near perfection,so he had a long life, then gradually it went down. Well in the middle ages it was a fact that life expectancy went right down! (about 35) but its gradually crept up again. could it be that in the millennium people might start out being old, but gradually recovering their youth as time goes on and we get back nearer to perfection, because, obviously, it will take time to restore the world to how it was originally meant to to be, before sin and imperfection came into it. Only a thought but would be interested to hear other's views
we won't know the full account of why our loved ones who didn't make it until we see the book (millennium) it will take long because the angels have to show us
When we who are alive are caught up after the resurrection of the sleeping saints, and taken to heaven we will be able to examine the books and see why some have not made it into the pearly gates. Jesus clearly stated "No-one knows the day and hour ,not the angels in heaven, not the Son, but the Father only" So these scientists and people who try and put dates on Our Lord's Return are erroneous. You can know the season, but you cannot know how long it would be. We see things happening in the world today, and Jesus said, all these things, (not just a few events) have to happen He outlined in Matthew 24: these things to watch for. He told us to "Watch!" rather than speculate, as a lot of things that happened last century were shocking ,and no doubt as no-one had ever been through 2 wars like those, if you were around then, you be excused for thinking "This is it!" as Hitler seemed to fit the Antichrist. as no-one had ever seen anyone like him, before. But, it passed into history, and even now, a crisis occurs, and I confess i tend to think "This is it!" but to no avail. when you are longing for Jesus's return, you are looking for anything that might indicate it wont be long now, but the your hopes get dashed. Life just ticks along, and then you do get the scoffers and mockers that St. Peter said would appear in the latter days, and sometimes you can get disheartened. i know, when i look around and see whats going on, that we have never lived in an age like this before, but I know there are other prophecies that have to be fulfilled. I think we just all hope we will be alive when Jesus returns, but things take time to develop and we could be in the same position as those people, years ago, when they thought the same. we dont really know how long it could be before all these things Jesus said would take place. It could be in 5, 10, maybe 30 or 40 years hence, it could be in a 100! as the last days can mean many years, though I do think we are more in the last part of them ,but i just dont think its going to be next week (type of thing) so I watch as Jesus asked us to, and wait, thats all you can do

there will be an army of 2 hundred million. it says this in Revelations. They will come from the east, "the kings of the east" and their "way will be prepared." the River Euphrates will be dried up to prepare the way for them to march across it, to the Valley of Meggido, where all the gathering of the armies of the world wil take place. the final battle will be fought out in Jerusalem. At that time Jesus will return and put a stop to it he said that if He did not intervene there would be no-one left alive on the earth i dont fully understand it all as this implies something nuclear, which would wipe out everything (people, animals, anything living) and yet these armies from the east sound a bit old-fashioned in their approach, more like older methods of warfare, in an age of modern weapons, but I am not going to disagree with the Scriptures, just have to see how thongs pan out as the years go on. Like I've said, there's no way of telling when this could happen.its interesting that the Euphrates is one of the original 4 rivers that watered the Garden of Eden, and it is significant in the end times and its in the Middle East. the part about it being dried up doesnt surprise me, with asll these droughts in the world and global warming, makes it seem quite feasible, interesting
