In my opinion, it is common in Japan to omit the subject.
    That's your guess.
    'you are no god'
    'i am no god'
    or
    'we are no god'
    etc.
Which one to choose is left ambiguous.
    perhaps.
    but they may be goddesses.

"Saiki giggled, probably because of what Miku did there"
You sir, are a most observant reactor, few I've seen have caught this detail on their first reaction. Miku swirling her fingers around to "lu li lu, lu li lu" makes herself laugh while singing it, which is so hilarious the ice queen even has to laugh, which makes me laugh every single time I watch this performance. Glad you caught that. They just have too much damn fun up on stage, and it's 100% contagious.

I think that Saiki was laughing because she almost got hit by MISA’s bass.

Zack, thanks for reacting to another one of my favorite Band-Maid songs. It's one that they always include in their live concerts, because it gets the audience up and moving and participating. That's always fun! I'm not going dwell on the meaning behinds the words, because Miku is such a subtle and circumspect lyricist that it's often difficult to decipher her meaning behind them. Being that subtle and circumspect, she never gives interviewers the complete reasoning behind her words. She's Japanese, after all. Nevertheless this is a great song!!!!!

Great reaction and this is one of the fun songs. Miku has a reputation of being a klutz and always injuring herself, so it's a wonder that she can jump around around in those 3 inch heels without killing herself. By the way, the official translations on the videos are done by the band staff (and double checked by the Japanese fans on reddit/bandmaid usually catch any errors or translation mistakes) and are usually very accurate. Miku is also learning English and has a good grasp of how to translate her lyrics into understandable English.

The best song at the final 2022 show on their US tour. There was an instrumental intro (there was also one here, but for some reason it was cut for this YT video), and you're right, the crowd was all over this song. It's become a staple of their shows for good reason; so much so it has replaced Domination as their usual big rock finale for most shows (though they are using Endless Story as a sort of farewell song).
And yes, it is punk and also very prog, a bit metal, and a bit lullaby. Any lesser of a composer and this song would be a trainwreck.

Lyrics for me convolute, that's why I'm such a big fan of Band-Maid because I'm just in it for the musicianship. After over four years of listening exclusively to Band-Maid and a former drummer, I can count on one hand the songs meanings. My philosophy is "lyrics are what musicians trip over to get to their instruments".....I LOVE Band-Maid because I can't understand what they are singing and don't care to, just the music and their personalities please.

Americans are super sensitive about "God", the Japanese less so. I believe the intent is "No Fate", that a person has to strive and choose their path. A pretty typical "you-can-do-it", upbeat Band-Maid philosophy. Also, that first verse is just mind-jarring, no one seems to be playing the same thing. Thanks for the reaction! (I think Saiki's giggle is in response to MISA faking at her with her headstock. Saiki got smacked in the kisser at one of the 2022 shows.)
