i had this car for a short time as rental. never drove it over 220 something. it was such a great car. engine is really amazing for 1.8. you don't need more unless you have like too much ego.

isn't it a 2.0l ? The title says "184hp" which is the same amount of power in the 2001 E200 ( 2.0l ) kompressor that we have.
@@abridgingpanda7372 The 2006-2009 E200K runs on a supercharged 1.8 L M271. The E230 had a 2.5 L M272. AFAIK the W211 E Class didn't come with any 2 L engines.

Doing a speed run with a near empty tank. So all that muck from the bottom of the fuel tank gets sucked in. You must have real confidence in your fuel system. But the gloves look pretty.
The fuel pump pickup is located at the bottom of the tank. And if there is muck in the tank, shouldn't it allways get sucked in by the pump, no matter the fuel level.
@@adriatys439 It's not about the muck. With a low tank you're always sucking air when the car shifts left, right, forwards and backwards. Air is the number one killer for fuel pumps. Always sucking in air causes friction and premature wear in the fuel pump.
@@hamhamable yes I understand that, I was just saymg that if there is muck im the tank, it’s allways getting sucked by the pump, no matter the fuel level

This W211 has the fuel pump in the reservoir and its cooling is being assured by the quantity of fuel you have. Take care next time.

Ich habe bemerkt, dass beim Anfahren der Motordrehzahl kurz sinkt (1:11 Minute) und es fühlt sich wie einen kurzen Rutsch. Kennst du die Ursache? Ich habe das gleiche bei meinem Wagen.

Super reliable, the only issue is that the gas pump fails a lot.
@@SavvasPe you mean the fuel pump? what’s the average cost of those? are they easy to replace?
@@jptuaz1992 It's the same issue like the previous 2.0 and 2.3 Kompressor engines. Easy to repair and easy to buy, these are bullet proof engines.

Aussen finde ich den w211 schöner als innen. Hier das Holzlook finde ich nicht ansprechend. Würde ich folieren lassen

Echt jetzt. Das ding hat keinen 2 Liter sondern nen 1.8er Motor. Top speed war das auch nicht.

Quite allot of wind noise inside the cabin.
Weak side of w211.sound insulation isn't good.
seems like this engine is a bit weak for this heavy car

You might be surprised how much more powerful it feels. I own a w210 e200K with 164hp. Despite that it's a little rocket. 1700kg and it sure it might need an extra 20hp maybe. Its got great torque and you take corners stupidly quick, same chassis is built for 300kphs.
Imo the lack of a super powerful engine makes them harder to drive fast, but super rewarding when you find its sweet spot. Also the engine genuinely doesn't feel like is weak, especially around town. Light and nimble merc not a lump :p
@@Brapplezz i own a e200k too with the pre facelift and honestly 0-100 isn't that fast but on the highway is where the 163 hp shows especially when u go to high revs but for the city the supercharger does its work for overtaking to 30-60. I prefer that to a naturally aspirated bmw 520i (direct competitor) with its 2.2 170 hp engine and higher tax
@@Brapplezz and also the manual is the faster choice back in the day than the weak 5 speed auto with its slow shifts
