This Merc hasn't aged a bit. I have mine since 2004 and still runs like a dream. I think this is the last Mercedes that was made with a sense of responsability. Newer models just seem to lack the luxury and quality.

@@kosmaskatshs9790 yeah just wondering because the c class has a problem with the paintwork. Which is the reason why all c classes from 2000-2006 has problems with rust. Didn't knew it's different on the e class.
@@TheKartoffel101 No problems with rust. Well it depends on how well you take care of the car. But other than that the car presents in 2021 as brand new in terms of looks and interior. Mercedes back in the days were using very good quality paint/materials.
I remember these cars as taxis in Crete, they all had over 500.000KM and still drove really well, no cracks, comfortable ride and ice-cold airconditioning! I drive a w202 and w124 diesel, but one day i will buy a w211 too.
My eyes got stuck on the mileage for that perfect number.

Proud owner of a 2002 w211 E270 5 cylinder with 400kkm.
W211 ist echt die beste Modellreihe. Besitzen selbst zwei davon, einmal 2005er und einen 2008er, auch jenseits der 250 Tausend KM. Das wichtigste für uns ist die Diesel, Automatik und Avantgarde.
Hoffentlich halten die noch lange, möchten nichts anderes fahren 👍 Dir immer gute Fahrt!
Genau, das sage ich auch immer wieder. Einfach top Autos mit robusten Motoren. Danke, wünsche dir auch gute und unfallfreie Fahrt. Pass auf die beiden gut auf 🙌
Ich fahre jetzt seit 5 Jahren nen S211, und ich muss sagen dass die Qualität einfach passt. Hobel gebraucht gekauft, Scheckheftgepflegt, und ich setze das fort. Hatte direkt nach dem Kauf ne MB-macke (Korrosion Bremsleitungen) aber erwartbar. Tolles Auto. Mit dem Chipmangel und allem könnte ich den wohl mit Gewinn verkaufen. Fahrgefühl und von der Wertigkeit das absolute Top. Tolles Auto.
Und der Kompressor ab Bj. `08 schiebt mit 184PS. Einfach herrlich! Ein fantastisches Fahrzeug.
Ich bin vom W124 gleich auf ihn umgestiegen und bin mehr als begeistert. Man fühlt sich gleich zu Hause.
Natürlich Automatik, in obsidianschwarz und als Kombi, zum Schnäppchenpreis für unter 5000€. Meine absolute Kaufempfehlung! Zum Glück gibts genügend "Autokenner", die niemals einen Benz kaufen würden. Lieber einen, wo schon der Hersteller 4 Nullen vorne anbringt und die Fünfte lenkt... .
Letztes Jahr gekauft, fragte mich eine Kollegin: "Ist das ein Jahreswagen?"...
Das gebe ich dir vollkommen recht 👍🏼 Facelift Modell ist noch einmal schöner und da wurden auch einige Fehler aufgehoben. Du sagst es schon, in diesen Modellen fühlt man sich einfach wohl. Man weiß dass man in einem 'richtigen' Auto drin sitzt. Und diese "Autokenner" wird es immer geben 😂 #Hater. Obwohl ich BMW Liebhaber bin, mag ich den W211 sehr 👀
So eine Frage kann nur eine "Kollegin" stellen....

Meinste der umstieg von einem clk w209 163hp Kompressor zu einem e200 Kompressor w211 facelift Avantgarde lohnt sich?

Das war damals ein schönes Auto. Hatte 2002 als Neuwagen einen Elegance E200 W211 5G Tronic in Melanitschwarz mit Leder Kieselbeige bestellt. Ein tolles Auto, aber wenn ich an den Verbrauch denke, sieht man den technischen Fortschritt. Aktuell fahren wir 2 E250 S213 und einen 540i G31 LCI, letzterer nimmt bei 333PS und Allrad und viel mehr Masse mindestens 3l weniger als der W211. Dennoch habe ich den Wagen sehr gern gehabt. Danke für das Video

I have the same E200/2006 Elegance, it is amazing in stability and powerful, although it is 4 cylinders. I think Mercedes-Benz has stopped manufacturing such cars.

Kannst du noch ein Video machen von dem 200 Kompressor? Also den Wagen den du in dem Video gefahren hast? Am besten mal bei Nacht oder im Regen so stadt oder Landstraße. Ich mag die Benziner mehr als die Diesel :)

Hast du richtig gemacht 👍🏼 W211 ist sehr zuverlässiges und robustes Auto. Meiner Meinung nach die beste E-Klasse die je gebaut wurde 💪🏽 Viel Spaß mit dem Neuen 😉

mine is so planted up to 200kph but it got very light steering and floaty after that. The engine wanted more but I was aware of the lack of control getting towards 220.

I am looking to buy a w211 e200 Kompressor, but some people have frightened me about abs,esp & sbc problems. Currently I drive a 2000 w202 c180 for 8,5 years with no problems at all and want to upgrade to a w211 mainly for the extra hp power & auto gearbox but I can afford a 2003-2005 model. Any comments or experiences are welcomed!
Hi , if your budget is bigger , look for 230 kompresor ,, if not , you can bay CLK ,, blesses.
Anyway, the 200K is perfect.
I had a W202 a 1999 model ( oon my youtube ) got smashed.
I replaced it with a high miler ( 440.000 ) W211 ( named old silver ) No issues not so ever ( just a rocker cover leak from old age )
I also have a W203 C180Kompressor, ( named Coby )
Both are trouble free,
SO go for ir
Dont forget about the engine exploding go for a diesel instead.

Wieso scheint der Motor kalt zu sein? Die Temperaturanzeige ist augenscheinlich nicht bei ~90 Grad

Does it have SBC problem? I want to get one, how many times did you change SBC at 250k kms?
I had a case where the SBC lamp went on. After a long research, I found out that the problem is only with the ABS ring .Anti-lock braking system). When I changed this, the lamp went out again. And until now I've never had to change the SBC.
@@dryps_limitless ja man scheiß abs ring... hat mich auch 2 wochek gekostet bis ich drauf gekommen bin... bei mir war auch getriebe notlauf und ich war kurz davor die EHS zu wechseln 🙈

Engine runs and sounds so much smoother compared to the current MB 2.0 4 cylinder petrol engines

Wenn’s schon Facelift ist ist gut. Vorfacelift würde ich nicht kaufen. Hatte den 200er Benziner vor meinem jetzigen 220 CDI und würde eher zu zweitem raten, zuverlässiger und schluckt im Schnitt 3 Liter weniger - das kann sich schon ab 15k km p.a. rechnen. Auch war das warmfahren des 200ers mit Automatik immer eine Qual, unter 3000 Umdrehungen kommt da nix und du fährst, gerade bergauf, an wie ein LKW

@@dryps_limitless 😅🤝 den Klang des Kompressors und den niedrigen Geräuschpegel im Vergleich zum Diesel vermisse ich aber auch ab und zu 🙏🏻 nichtsdestotrotz steht dem W211 Kraft im niedrigen Drehzahl Bereich einfach deutlich mehr als von der Ampel mit 4000 rpm losfahren, wirkt einfach peinlich 😂 hätte man mal das nötige Kleingeld für einen 500er..
Und ob elegance oder Avantgarde kommt ganz auf dich an. Elegance hat das komfortablere Fahrwerk, dafür hat der Avantgarde meiner Meinung nach Schöneres Holz und schön bläulich getonte Scheiben. Und Achtung: auf den elegance (ohne airmatic) kriegst du nicht ohne weiteres Felgen über 16“ drauf!

😂 W211 with manual gearbox is very rare. What engine do you have?
@@dryps_limitless indeed it is rare. Mine is an E240 V6 2.6L, M112 engine and 716.634 gearbox (i guess). And surprisingly, it’s only 83.000km when i bought it last year.

I have the 2008 W211 e200 kompressor sportpaket with 184 ps.
I just bought it 12.000 euro.
I dont like it at all. The gears change in high Rpm (3000). It is very slow in traffic. I live in Stuttgart. And everytime i get the check engine light (gemisch zu mager im teillastbereich p0172). I changed Lamda, kurbelgehäuseentluftung unsw) and the lamp comes again. The car has 140.000 km. Steuerzeiten checked. Can someone help me?
I was allow to have a 15 years old E200k for trail uage for 3 months before buying over.
You need a lufi xf plug and display OBD II. Stick it onto dasboard. Put a holder for your smart phone. Take car to highway and do video recording on rpm vs mass air flow vs air intake pressure vs 02 sensor vs timing ignition etc etc. Do not look at OBDII display while dangerous. Be safe!
Drive at 150km/hr without cruise control. Drive at 110km/hr with cruise control. Drive in town area. Later look into recording.
Pre 2007 E200k only have 163hp and on flat road at 100km/hr it behave like NA engine as in such condition 50hp output by engine is good enough. Air intake manifold is around -2 to -1psi. Still below atmospheric pressure.
On going up a +gradient slope the air bypass throttle for supercharger will be closing off for air intake pressure going up to +5psi.
On same slope and >130km/hr air intake pressure can be +8.5psi.
On steeper slope supercharger will cut in even if rpm is in range of 1500 to 1800rpm. This is indicated by +ve air intake pressure on the OBD II.
For 184hp variant of supercharged engine I think air intake pressure can go up to nearly +10psi.

It`s really an amazing car , and it has if i am not mistaken has 47 onboard computers , which are constantly monitoring various parameters of the car and it`s functions. Great video really , and the driving was so smooth and safe, my only objection is that you started to take on a top speed drive a car the W211 which from the moment you turned the ignition on you had the Brake Service Visit Workshop warning( Service Bremse Werkstatt auf suchen) appear in the main display , which indicates that there is something that potentially needs attention in relation to the braking by-wire system , to be more specific this car has installed an Sensotronic Brake Control electro-hydraulic unit which was manufactured from Bosch back then it was innovative, efficient and if i am not mistaken was awarded because it represented the future of braking technology it could eliminate the existence of a large number of the mechanical components of a conventional braking system which would simply are replaced by electronics and sensores that were offering a lot better braking response in various conditions and a variety of other braking, speed,comfort related features that the SBC could provide, and it was used at the E, CLS, SL Roadster,SLR McLaren, Maybach supercars models from 2002 until 2006 which was dropped officially for the E, and the CLS models only due to the many defects that this unit caused to the owners cars and the many complaints that were received worldwide about this units failing at a low mileage cars, the rest of the models would be too costly to re-engineer to accomodate a conventional braking system due to the fact that they were low volume in production cars SLR, SLR McLaren , Maybach supercars. So in simple words that means if this unit fails you are left with no proper braking at all , if you need to brake from such high speeds and in a such a heavy car , in the event of an SBC failure at high speed you would only had a minimum braking stopping efficiency that the hydraulic brake backup system could provide , and it would be very risky if that was the case you would need a lot more stopping distance.
That's right. I also had a problem with the SBC brake system once.

Interessant zu sehen - meiner läuft wesentlich besser. Erreicht die Höchstgeschwindigkeit
von knapp 230 auch ohne stundenlangen Anlauf. Km 153 k, Steuerkette schon mal gemacht.
Ich mag das Auto. Aber wehe, es ist was kaputtt.. Dann wirds teuer beim W211

Mein Wald und Wiesen Mechaniker hat daraufhin auf Verdacht den Raildrucksensor getauscht, kostenpunkt 60 Euro.
Seither keine Probleme, und volle Leistung.
Topspeed : 225 km/h (BJ 2002, 200000km, 6gang Handschaltung)

Hab meinen noch nie ausgefahren, bei 160 kmh höre ich auf, bei 240 000 km muss ich den nicht auf Endtempo zwingen
Bei 240.000 km sind diese legendären Modelle erstmal eingefahren 😂 Also kannst es ruhig mal auf Topspeed bringen, das schadet dem Motor nicht, keine Sorge. Wir können das auch gerne für dich tun und es aufnehmen. Dann haben die Zuschauer auch einen Vergleich zum T-Modell 🔥💯
