As an owner of a 2016 Mazda 3 let me share my experience after 108 K of driving this car. I am a senior and drive gently. Max speed I used was 120km / hr only. Let me start with what has failed thus far 1. Both left and right retractable side mirrors 2. Front and rear suspension system alot of clunking around 90 k onwards so had to change all links, bushes, arms at a cost of 5 k +. 3. Engine mount on the lh gbox side failed..changed at a cost around 1k. 4. Front suspension change incl mounts around 2.3 k. 5. Belt tensioner change due leak ...around 500 6. Top gasket replaced due leak. Actually the ride was stiff from the beginning. But, I recently purchased a Corolla, that car handles equally without the Mazda like feeling of the stiffness. The engine is not powerful. It's tuned for fuel efficiency instead..quite ironic bearing the still suspension. The last point is the maintenance provider Mazda. They never answer calls, are expensive, seems jaded, never answer calls and lack empathy. They don't care anymore. Now the car only has a 35 k resale to dealers so i have resolved to keep it. I do not mean any ill intent to any party, but thought just to share my experience.
good to hear from mazda3 2016 owner, mine currently driving a mazda3 bp 2020, mileage now clocking at 131,000, parts that had changed is only rear brake pad, others still in good condition, drawback for this bp model is battery when it will only lasting about 1 yr 2 months until 1 yr 5 months, you will be lucky if it can be hold for 2 years, mine already no more for free service, it has already passed 120,000, i bought this car in 2020 when at that time mazda celebrating their 100 years birthday, therefore for those who buying mazdas car in year 2020 will get special free service for 120,000 or 6 years which comes first, until now i still sending my car at mazda sc and had passed 2 self paying service which cost me 650 and 680, mine mazda3 1.5 sedan,

of course! 😅😂 how dare they claimed to be 100kg lighter than previous version but removed the spare tyre, that is stupid equation. and making Vios a bad long distance car
Lack of a spare tyre, no folding seats for 100kg weight savings? Sure that will help fuel economy a little but at the expense of practicality is not worthwhile.
In Australian the hatch's suspension is more sporty than the sedan's. The hatch is aimed for singles and couples whereas the sedan is aimed more at families/oldies. The hatch has terrible vision out the back, that is why we went for the sedan, plus the bigger cargo area.
already end my free 120k service, last service for first time need to pay, it is a normal service, total amount including deposit cleaner Rm 42 is Rm 560, mine got 120k free svc due to mazda 100th anniversary, of only if you buy any mazda in year 2020 then will get the 120k free
I just bought a 2024 machine grey Mazda 3 sedan. It has a Skyactive 2.5 liter engine. I'm still getting used to it, because my previous car was a 2005 Toyota Carolla S. My big beef is that modern cars don't have CD players. I dislike listening to the inane chatter on radio.
@@MalaysianMotoring Just kidding. I went to see one today at a dealership. It was just funny to notice that the cockpit was a mirror image. I'm in Canada, so the AWD option is very interesting (snow) and it has a 5 in ground clearance which is good for snowdrifts. It distributes power throughout the 4 wheels, meaning a 4 wheel differential to aply power, if what I was told is true. Traction is everything in snow and ice, so I might take it out for a drive and torture it a bit.
We've found that Mazda AWD systems are quite adept in managing power delivery in difficult conditions - even here the AWD systems do decently on roller tests etc. though they aren't exactly off-roaders.
Aiman... nothing personal - your delivery is miles ahead of YSKhong - another car reviewer I follow - but you need to dress up properly laaa. If you hadn't spoken as eloquently, I'd be reluctant to follow you. First off, get a haircut - otherwise you look like a film critic from TGV

Stiff due to 18 inch rim isn’t it ?

No worries- thanks for sharing... ive been looking at Mazda cars, at least now i know what are the drawbacks.
I’m also driving a 2016 Mazda 3 and I do not have any problems with my car. Mileage of 115k.
Mazda 3 owner hadir 😊
Every ride is just refine and enjoyable

Holy moly Aiman woke up that day and chose unbridled violence 🤣
savage rite? lol
Aiman, you cannot give Vios a break over its lack of a spare tyre 😂😂👍
We're only echoing what everyone thought was a dealbreaker when the Vios came out, a sentiment that we actually do not stand with.

your sarcasm intro is damn funny hahaha , great review tho
Hi Aiman. In terms of handling and body roll, which one is better? Sedan or hatchback?

You should round up with long term issues of maintenance costs and reliability.

10:40 wakaka, Ativa/x50 with small engine and small turbo but the stereotypes drives them like a Macan/Urus
aiman, do you guys have a cx3 review coming up?
Headroom leeway wow your english command is awesome❤
I like this review 👍👍
And I like Mazda
but a bit disappointing, the passenger seat is not powered.
Would love to see you guys review the "updated" cx5 and see how it stacks up in 2024 against its current rivals
We already did.
I'll still go for the Honda Civic 2.0L Hybrid. It's an awesome car to drive.
Definitely the Civic eHEV. Only If Mazda 3 here offers the 2.5L turbo AWD, but then again that would probably cost over 200k...
thats interesting Malaysia still gets the 2.0 engine while in the USA we get the 2.5 engine
it is 100% assembled in Japan . That is Special
I just noticed ,looking at it from the sides or the rear third quarter ,is very
reminiscent of the S70
Thanks from Italy.
mazda 3 or civic ehev in terms of handling?
Love the 6-speed but I think this Mazda still has the torsion beam design for the back suspension.
How does it handle compare to corolla
Lol a corolla could never
@@jus10xxQuite a legit question. Latest Corolla with double wishbone brings a whole different experience as compared to before. (lexus tech tu)
@@Kurakurasiputsedut yes because last time he said corolla handles very well
I own the 2024 Select Sport 2.5 AT in Ceramic Metallic.

Mazda should have usb audio inputs. Convert your cds to mp3 files and place them on a thumb drive.
aiman...yes we concur, d mezda 3 balance is jezz rite..
its using rear torsion beam right?
Yes just like the Renault Megane. It handles like a dream though
yes.. same goes with CX3 and CX30..
First!
Anyway great review as always. 😊
I've never heard a car called a saloon ... Maybe I'm living under a rock?
British called it saloon. American called it sedan iirc😊
It’s rather confusing here. I thought I might hear Aiman said best salon car was Toyota Corolla GR lol 😅pick one, mate.
Malaysian Motoring ni kena ban dengan Honda ke..langsung takda review Civic or CRV
Nak kena ban bermaksud pernah ada access. Cuba tanya mereka, kita dah penat dilayan macam pengemis.
Is Mazda 3 more better than Toyota Corolla in terms of driving quality
Enjin still besar 2.0 kalu Mazda focus 1.5 tentu bole cabar civic 1.5
No CVT makes me happy!!!
Damn, this sedan got a much bigger rear passenger space than my cx30 😪
Showing interior from norhing is clearly visible if can show from the center will be better 😒
mazda still living in 2020.
Unfortunately sedan version still lack of 360 camera.
Need turbo variant
Got money get Mazda 3 no money get S70😅
You got shafted buddy, the steering is on the wrong side.
Given that this is a Japanese car built in Japan, they'd disagree with you as well.

Why suddenly everyone talking about this car? The interior looks outdated.
