I've installed mine but I have two issues. I ran the mic between headliner and windshield and positioned center above the steering wheel. People say it's hard to hear me. I'm guessing it's cuz I'm running catless down pipes so the cat is a little louder than stock. How's the quality of calls being you placed it next to where the mic stock location is? Another issue I have is the Bluetooth seems to randomly disconnect from the phone for a few seconds then connect again. Very annoying during a call. Have you experienced this? I hate to say it but I've had a few different eonon systems in this car and previous BMW's. I've also used Joying products. While I always thought they were the same unit but rebranded, I can definitely say Joying was always more stable and better features. Though they both have pros and cons.
Great vid! Im having trouble with the clock/Time setting. It resets to default every time i turn the car off, and never updates to the network time or GPs time. am i missing something in settings? it then resets the car clock too. very annoying!

how reliably thease eonon radios are? like i bought similar on my old passat couple years ago from aliexpress it was awesome until screen just broke in couple months and i couldnt get it working again
Great question. These are so much better than anything you'll find on aliexpress. They have great support as well which is something I look for in a company before I buy a product. You won't be disappointed 👍

I usually switch from carplay to speaker phone on my iphone and they instantly say much better. any similar complaints and/or solutions?
Just the the CarPlay no need for the camera keep it simple save yourself the hectic install that’s my opinion that’s what I did is too much and I doubt the camera will satisfy you that much

Manual key works, and key works when installed to star and stop the car. Any ideas? My car is bmw 2011 328i convertible (E93)
Hey, i recently installed this and my wheel control was working. Turned the car off, came back to my car about 15 mins later and it stopped working. I took the eonon out and replug the canbus and it worked, then it stopped working later. Any ideas?

Either should be good to purchase from. They should both be the same price. No need for a Sim card. Wifi will get you updates. Maps and GPS are built in though. If you connect your phone for Android auto or carplay, it will use maps from your phone and GPS from the radios GPS antenna.

I was wondering if you needed 2 rca splitters like the way you did it. Otherwise I saw a video about using the “subwoofer out” green wire and use a splitter off that to connect the RCA cables. So I installed this infotaitment system but my question is why when I go on reverse the camera logo shows up as if I have a camera how do I make that do away instead of showing up

@@drewprzybycien5784 It handles multiple Bluetooth devices very well. basically, you just pick one of them to be the primary. that way if 2 or more are in the car at the same time, it will choose the primary device over the others. 💪
@@fthirty3 One more for you - Did you wire the backup camera to the backup light? Or did you just send power down the Wire from the radio to the camera? I wasnt sure if the CANBUS tells the radio that the car is in reverse or if you have to have voltage sent to it from the reverse lights.
I'd strongly recommend a high quality android head (atleast 2GB RAM). The cheaper ones are terrible. I just installed one and it is painfully slow. Takes ages to load maps, audio etc
It will do both Android and apple carplay. Carplay should auto launch when you connect your phone via Bluetooth. If it doesn't, open the carplay app on the screen
Love this radio. Only thing I'd suggest turning the brightness down and don't watch streaming for long periods of time. The adhesive on the glass can become loosened and the glass could fall off. It happened to me. I activated the 4G capability and was in my car alot watching movies and TV shows. And after 2 months the glue cam undone and the screen fell off. Got a replacement and I'm back in business. Love this unit!
@fthirty3 It's bad because it's an intermittent issue. It's fine when I first start the car, but loses sound a few minutes later after I start driving. Being intermittent makes this a bigger problem to solve than what it probably actually is.
Mine was pretty easy to remove. But then I realized later after the video was released that it was easy because some of the clips were already broken. It is a bit of work to get off the right way, but if you remove the sun visors, it's much easier as it loosens the headliner.

Just the the CarPlay no need for the camera keep it simple save yourself the hectic install that’s my opinion that’s what I did is too much and I doubt the camera will satisfy you that much
My GA9465B has a 45 band equalizer. Much more tuning capabilities. Just sucks it runs on the android 10 system. Wish it was newer.

Did the steering wheel buttons get configured automatically or you had to something additional.
Tge buttons worked right away, but I did need to flip them as they they were backwards to how I wanted them to work.

You have to order the decoder box, the unit doesn't include one by default.

The heated seats can be controlled with no additional wiring via the radio.

i have an issue where my OEM Sensor sounds dont play do you have a bypass for that ? i do not want to use the included speaker.

You need to pair your phone first, then when you make a call it uses your phone.

Totally agree. That's why I really like this one. It's got 6gb of ram and an 8core cpu. The fact that it now runs android 13 is icing on the cake. 👍

It's most likely that the amplifier cable is disconnected on the harness. I think the cable is blue.

Be sure to check that your blue amp wire is connected. That's usually the issue
