you know where i can get the trim for that extra switches underneath AC controls? I have e91 LCI. i've got the Engine Auto off/on switch on that. if i wanna do this upgrade i'll need that trim piece for middle transmission portion also.

Listened to your mods and plans. Seems like you are into what others see more than how the car accelerates and handles, brakes, curvy roads, etc. My personal test of a car is to take my vehicle to a rural road that has many curves. Here in N. GA. we have many older roads that climb mountains. My challenge to myself and my vehicle is to drive up this curvy road, staying within my "lane" without having my wheels cross over the painted or dash-ed lane markers. That is the test of the "man" and the "machine". Can I drive this road at a constant 35 MPH (for example), without ever crossing over the painted lines to my right or left. - If I do cross over the paint, I lost. (Honor system - Admit to yourself if you succeeded or you lost and crossed onto or over a line. - If you conquered the road at 25 mph, try 30 mph, then 35. When do you, your wheels/tires and suspension fail to keep within your "lane" when climbing or declining the road/mountain?) The better "tuned" car will be able to handle better and do the job they were supposed to be designed to do. The driver is part of this "handling package". Are you "up to it"? This is more the test of a "sports car," or actually any car. My 435i MSport already had chassis/engine struts to limit engine flex on acceleration when I bought it. I got rid of the "run flats" because of many inherent problems - poor handling, longer braking distances, reduced tire life, do I need to say more? Why did you buy a "sports car?" I upgraded my tires to performance Michelins and larger custom wheels. My braking/handling improved immediately. And tread/tire life is far, far better than the "run flats".

Robinair recomends the RG6 recovery machine for R134A, I wonder what issues a guy might run into when using the RG3 to recover automotive refrigerant?

Thanks Steve great video. I managed to install it had none fibrotic version. All working well except since making this upgrade the remote control key does not work to open the door. Manual key works, and key works when installed to star and stop the car. Any ideas? My car is bmw 2011 328i convertible (E93)

I have a 2007 328i with heated seats and was looking for a video that would show how to install and retain the physical button controls but having the heated seat controls in the UI works. Will be my next purchase and mod.

What did you do with the heated seat wires? Do they plug in somewhere? I am considering getting this unit for my 06 330i but want to make sure I can still have the heated seats. Should I go with the button extension in to the ashtray area? If so, will have to consider routing the wires down there, too.

I fitted the E90A13 into my 2008 E90 M Sport Coupe, I did the firmware update and got the fan icon to show and can control the heated seats but no other function on the screen for the climate control works, any ideas please?

Did you purge the line from the recovery machine to the tank? It looks like air in the line was permitted to go into the tank.

Once I have the refrigerant recovered in the tank, where do I take the recovery tank to have the R-134a reclaimed?

R134A is not toxic to the Ozone Layer. It was developed to replace R12 that is toxic to ozone. EPA opposes R134A release to the atmosphere because of its Greenhouse Gas Potential. R134A was released to the air for many years until 2020 when a law was passed.

You left out several things: what's the red port side for on the recovery tank? You never drained the red high pressure side into the tank?

No thanks. Factory amp wont work need an extra 100$ decoder which does not allow fading and no surround sound only left and right. Factory sound way better quality,not worth it

I'm about to fix my ac in my car as my condenser also got damaged and i heard letting refrigerant out into atmosphere is horrible so i ended up here to do it the proper way. I also learned you gotta make sure theres no moisture in the system... And after my research i figured this isnt a hard extra step at all... but then i checked the cost of the recovery machine and the tank.. i think ill find an alternate method of evacuating the system without releasing into atmosphere..
