I like both versions. The MLP one is a fitting tribute to both this and the ep it was based on, and really drew emotionally on the viewer. It carried the mood of both Delta Heavy and Friendship Is Magic.
But this one actually had the madness occur over the loss of a living thing, which I think is more emotionally powerful.
I honestly find this more sad than creepy

this is the most goddamn heartbreaking, disturbing yet psychedelic video ive ever seen
This video really does send shivers down my spine, it both disgusts, scares, and saddens me. However, as this is my second time seeing this video after seeing the pony version again, I think a big part in how well it plays with people's emotions is the brilliance in which the video and song play with one another. It's so well orchestration, I would recommend this video, but only to people who can handle the grimdark. This was slightly too much for me the first time,but perhaps not this time.
This is what happens when you don't educate your kids on the finality of death.

Все ещё помню, как ревела навзрыд в детстве из-за этого видео и как сильно оно меня пугало. Помню даже кошмары снились, и после первого и последнего просмотра этого видео я побежала гладить своего кота и реветь над ним х)

Честно говоря видео все ещё меня хоть и не пугает, но тревожит, особенно на 2:10 минуте. Этот кот просто спокойно спал, но потом почувствовал что что-то с ним не так, после чего начал ни с того ни с сего истекать кровью... Хоть мне сейчас уже 18 лет, но последствия на моей психике это видео однозначно оставило, раз уж я до сих пор чувствую себя так же тревожно после его просмотра, как и в детстве.
И кстати, хоть это очень грустно сейчас прозвучит, но тот кот над которым я плакала в детстве и о котором я написала выше умер когда мне было 14. Его звали Феликс, и умер он в возрасте 9 лет. Так что, похоже один из главных моих страхов детства все же исполнился.

I watched this video as a child and at that time I had my favorite cat. I've lived with him since I was a kid and my biggest fear was losing him. Therefore, at that time, this video caused little me to cry.

The basic premise is that she wants to resurrect her cat, and in doing so, raises the other cats in the graveyard from the dead. The memory of watching her cat get struck down has pushed her so far near the edge, that it's driven her insane enough to try resurrection

While the pony version IS cleaner, this also requires more movement with more complicated body parts, and in that I think this one is better. The effects on this are rather amazing.

There was this kitten I was taking care of that was attacked by a dog. I slept on the couch while I had a bed for her on my coffee table. For a week, I fed, washed, stimulated, and cared for that kitten. On the sixth day, she opened her eyes a little bit for the first time. I was ECSTATIC! The next day, she was dead.
