@@hansschmidt3561 Romania defeated both Germanies (RDG and RFG) at that 1972 Olympics, and lost just to Yugoslavia narrowly 14-15. I don't know what implications Hansi Schmidt would have had, he wasn't young at all by that time. Romania, however, had 3 German-ethnics in that 1972 bronze winning team: Gunesch, Stockl, Schobel.
