Yes. If the refs see it as a deliberate action then it is a red card to throw the ball at the head of the goalkeeper in a 7-meter. It is to protect the goalie from head injuries.
In handball there are usually many small fouls from both attacker and defender which are not punished because the game is too fast. I doubt that anybody is diving.
In the first scene you marked, the thrower is assumed to have had no intention to score a goal, but simply to harm the defenders by the generally extremely low throw - therefore the disqualification.
I’m assuming the huge increase in cheating and aggressive play in many sports nowadays, is due to the younger ‘never been told no’ generation not coping with losing?

As Snooby66 has already written, the block is allowed to jump, but the thrower is not. In addition, the thrower hits the player on the way down on the head and thus the intention of the thrower to throw a goal is not there, but only to throw on the block, because the throw is much too low.

I don't play Handball but can someone explain to me how 0:58 is a foul? Didn't the goalkeeper just block the ball with her head? Is that somehow illegal? In football no one would give a shit - speaking from experience.
It is because when a shot is made from 7 meter as a penalty, the shooter should be able to control the shot so it does not hurt the goal keeper. and if the shooter shoot the goal keeper in the head it is like that was the point. by the rule book she is aiming for her face and therefore it is a red card.
@@majasarnehed210 I guess that makes sense. From a football fans perspective though it still seems a bit weird since penalties are shot from just 11 yards out but with the feet, meaning that there'd be more force behind the shot as well.
@@jannikostermann9821 The penalty may be 7m out, but the keeper is only 3-4m away from the penalty taker so much less time to react than a football goalkeeper I imagine.

3:39 not a red card, goalkeeper clearly moves her head to the right
The Rules are changed. No need for the goalie to stand still. As long as they dont really are searching the ball with their head it’s gonna be a two minutes suspension or a red card.
@@havarbjrnsethdegard9624 oh sorry, okay i didnt know that, when did the Rules Change?
8:24 she tried to dodge the ball carrier and didn’t even make contact. The carrier just fell incorrectly. This shouldn’t even be a yellow card.
Correct me if I’m wrong, just the angles I saw it looked like there was no contact
Abbingh’s 7 meter was never ever a red card
New Rules have made it clear that if u hit the face of the goalkeeper regardless from wich position you threw the Ball at the Keeper you always get a red card
@@denniswarhonowicz I can understand if the goalkeeper doesn't move and still gets hit in the head you'll get read...but when there's movement...idk
@@denniswarhonowicz Even when it bounces off something else, like an arm, foot, post? That seems pretty ridiculous. I can understand if you hit them direct in the face but getting a red for a random rebound is just crazy, this instance it clearly hits the goalies arm and never would have hit her head if she hadn't deflected it onto herself.
@@denniswarhonowicz please read the rules again. Only from a 7m Throw it is a red card. In normal Play it’s only a 2 min Suspension. And it has to Hit the Head First. If it bounces off the Arm at example, ist Never any kind of Suspension
@@denniswarhonowicz that hit the arm before that hit the face.
Funny, with very few exceptions no female referees .... the associations should work on that.
Yeah that’s true. I’m a C handball player and E-D referee while getting the approval for C-A right now as a female and my friend who’s also a female referee wants to go into Bundesliga as a referee :)
I would have enjoyed this if it weren't for the annoying background music.
What a stupid music. Horrible, couldnt stand that, thumb down.
WHAT THEY MADE OF THIS SPORT!!!!???? SHEET LIKE FOOTBALL
This is pathetic, red card for nothing......
Sorry don't understand getting a red card on a goal shot and hits the goalie's head. The goalie's job is to stop the oppenent from scoring no matter what it take just like soccer. Lots of bad acting falling down when getting blocked. Seems like you can lose the whole team on red cards. Ejected #3 from game when oppenent (#7) stepped on her foot at 8:14.
Letzte Rote Karte war ein klarer Fehlentscheid
Ja.
When Eastern European people see other Eastern European people's names, do they say what the fuck is this or do they know how to pronounce it. I mean is Skorobogatchenko like Smith over there?
No, Skorobogatchenko is kinda rare surname means "became rich fastly", some surnames like Smith are Ivanov, Smirnov, Petrov, Kuznetsov etc:)))

Some of those were Italian, I mean dives.

Handball needs a VAR.
In these leagues, every game has video support - but it is not mandatory to use it.
There is a VAR in these leagues, but the referees decide independently whether they want to use the VAR or not!
1:26 was on purpose?
7:08 is that a red card?
No. 2min and 7m in my opinion, but clearly not a red card!
She sticks her hand out and brings the jumping player out of balance risking an injury. It can definetly be seen as red by the refs. Also, it was a complete useless and stupid move.
Yes. That ugly fRatyi player try to kill her opponent.
fRatyi is the cancer of handball
most of these are bad decisions
@@TraianNitu Not really
I will never understand why players of any sport would rather take a dive and not the shot? ? ?
Because, as you can clearly see in the video, it gives your team the advantage of having what boils down to an extra player
And you dont wanna hurt yourself in the uncontrolled shot
how is the first one a red card
Tearing around in the neck/head area is seriously dangerous to health and therefore a disqualification can be pronounced.
4:25 what did she do?
Judging by the referee's gestures, the player kicked the opponent.
However, this is not visible in the video.
For this, the player receives a red card and an additional blue card.
Also 90% aller roten karten waren keine Rote karte, schon echt lächerlich
5:02 never ever a red card and i playedd handball for 15 years
So its like mens football(soccer) with all the dives
Exactly.
Not seeing any dives in this video
A red card for hitting the goalie on a penalty shot. maybe the dumbest sport around!
Ja zees kurls are poosies.
Brief explanation:
The rule was created to protect the goalkeeper!
Because, before the introduction of the rule, throws at the 7m were placed extra close to the head, or in the direction of the head, to make the goalkeeper dodge, which scored a goal, or to intimidate the goalkeeper, because there was no penalty for it.
Now there is the rule and not only for the head directly, but also for the area in which the goalkeeper can move his head without moving the rest of his body.
1:15 the red card for hitting the opponent in the face is so fkn bs... they think the face have an aura that rejects the ball or something ? AND it is clearly not intentional. Dumbest shit i have ever seen.
You don’t know the rules, do you? Especially the „new ones“
@@manolito182 dont care If it is a rule or not. Something that is clearly unintentional should not be punished . Atleast not in this case imo. If a soccer player shots the ball and it hits someone in the head , when there is clearly No intention , nothing happens. Accidents can happen and it should not be punished by a red card. I, for sure , Would not be a crybaby if someone hit me by accident . Its the game , Play it .. Stop wining..
The keeper looked like they moved in to the path of the ball after it had been thrown
@@jannikostermann9821 The penalty may be 7m out, but the keeper is only 3-4m away from the penalty taker so much less time to react than a football goalkeeper I imagine. Plus a kick is much less accurate than a throw and over 3 times the distance it would be incredibly hard to intentionally hit the keeper in the head. Plus plus, the scores are much lower in football, giving up a near certain goal to possibly take out the keeper wouldn't really ever be worth it!
@@mattc3581 true, didn't think of that
