    I have no idea about the rules of handball, it at 1:15 it seems like she gets a red for hitting her opponent in the face with the ball. Are they assuming it was intentional, or are you can the keeper just move the face to try to hit the ball and get you a red? Seems insane to me

      well the rules say, Red except if the goalkeeper moved his head towards the ball. And in practice, even if the goalie wouldn't move but had enough time to just catch the ball, probably no ref ever would Red-card the thrower. I'm thinking of a situation like a throw-off in the last few seconds, with a long-distance shot directly at the goal.

    • @hansmeier7331
      @hansmeier7331 2 года назад +11

      I am not a native speaker, so pls don't judge my egnlish. As a Goalie, throws at the head, wether they are intentional or not are really dangerous. If it is a penalty and a throw hits the head of a goalkeeper it is a read card. If there is a direct free/foul shot and you hit a person in the defensive wall on the head (not the goalie), it is a red card. Out of the game, shots at the head don't get punished normally. But you are making yourself extremely unpopular. In addition to the danger, you have nearly no way to defend the shot, because of reflexes.

      As Snooby66 has already written, the block is allowed to jump, but the thrower is not.
      In addition, the thrower hits the player on the way down on the head and thus the intention of the thrower to throw a goal is not there, but only to throw on the block, because the throw is much too low.

    • @stefanwolf963
      @stefanwolf963 Год назад

      @@Talorifeyden The player jumps clearly next to the defender and the defender can' t defend in any way according to the rules (frontal from the front). Instead of keeping her hands away, the defender extends her arm and grabs the thrower's hip, resulting in a complete loss of body control by the thrower, with the defender accepting an injury to the thrower. It's not about hitting the goalie, it's about hitting the goalie if they barely move, if the player targets the top corners and the goalie moves to stop it it isn't a red, but in that case the goalie barely moved and the ball went to her head. In that case it didn't harm her too much but taking a ball full force into your face is dangerous enough to me.

      @stefanwolf963 Год назад

      Brief explanation:
      The rule was created to protect the goalkeeper!
      Because, before the introduction of the rule, throws at the 7m were placed extra close to the head, or in the direction of the head, to make the goalkeeper dodge, which scored a goal, or to intimidate the goalkeeper, because there was no penalty for it.
      Now there is the rule and not only for the head directly, but also for the area in which the goalkeeper can move his head without moving the rest of his body.

      Außer an der letzten Karte, gibt es an keiner Roten etwas wirklich auszusetzen. Die Schiedsrichter sind da um die Gesundheit der Spieler zu schützen. Klar ist vieles nicht absichtlich aber Hände oder Ellenbogen im Gesicht sind nun mal klar Rot nach der Regel. Genauso das Anwerfen des Torwarts oder eines Blockers ins Gesicht oder das rauslaufen auf einen Außen und dabei den Absprungfuß blockieren. Letzteres kann zu schweren Fußgelenkverletzungen führen was zu langen Verletzungspausen und im schlimmsten Fall zum Karriereende führen kann.

      It is because when a shot is made from 7 meter as a penalty, the shooter should be able to control the shot so it does not hurt the goal keeper. and if the shooter shoot the goal keeper in the head it is like that was the point. by the rule book she is aiming for her face and therefore it is a red card.
