Ich bought the invicta pro diver in black and grey, because I really Like the look of the Rolex Submariner, but i'm 15, so I don't have the Money to buy it. So instead of being stupid and buying a fake Rolex, I bought this watch. I'm really happy with it, I wear it every day, no complaints except the very baş lume...
Rolex will always be Rolex... Love them but don't own one ! The Invictas may be the common man's watch ...so what ! I love them and I get compliments all day and then some : ) So please guys and girls ... Don't let anyone"watch shame you" .... Life's too short ... 🙂👍🇺🇸
This is the one model that Invicta did right! Their Pro Diver line is a great daily watch. Not everyone wants to drop $10 - $15K on a Submariner or even can do it so, this is a great alternative!
It;s not the only model Invicta did right. as for the Rolex homage/look alike issue, it is all to Rolex, if their design can be so easily be respectibly re-recreated in such a shamefully low price it is on them to design a new generation of patent protected Rolex divers designs to justify the premium they expect from their customers to pay. of course there is movement cost and innovation issue. but here it is what you pay for, and the HN35a is a basic horsepower working Seiko automatic movement which is found on most of microbrands and the larger share of Seiko divers as a branded movement with identical specs. is the Rolex in house movement worth all that money, as per movement? i don't know, i am more of a Tudor fan. and that would be good enough for my luxury show off tastes. however i do remind that the Pro Diver from Invicta has a full Swiss made variant with a SW200 Swiss 28800 bpm automatic movement. and you can get it for 225$. besides of that the only serious issue i have with the Pro and Grand divers is the underperforming lume. Invicta should solve this once and for all even if it's of adding a 10$-15$ to it's final retail price. we need a Seiko grade lume.
I recently bought one for $46 including shipping, why everyone has to make a big deal about it is beyond me, it's a watch it tells the time, why does anyone care what Rolex, or anyone else has to offer for 100+ times the price, it's like comparing a budget car to a Bentley. For me it tells the time, I like it being an automatic movement vs. a battery and it looks decent - it cost $46 what's there to complain about.
@@fbcfnh For me a watch needs to tell the time, be waterproof for my boating and swimming activities and have some visual appeal. Once it starts becoming expensive jewelry it's just not my thing at all and I have no real desire to ever own one regardless of my financial situation. I find the fact people get upset because a $60 watch looks like their Rolex somewhat amusing, it seems if that upsets someone, they need to be be more secure about their reasons for their choice and purchase rather than worrying about what others are doing.
I didn't buy the watch because it looked like a Rolex, I bought it because it's waterproof to 200 m and has a Seiko engine inside. I work specifically as a beater to go swimming in, or if I want something that looks pretty in the sunlight cuz I got the blue purple and gold one
No need to - it's a valid option as an affordable Rolex Submariner alternative. In hindsight, I would probably not have bought it, but not because it's not a great watch for the money - I now want to save for something a little bit more luxurious. Still, it's a very good choice.
@@MrKimkimwong i have a swiss made invicta. much better than a rolex, a very tough watch. and not so tiny. the tiny little rolexes for tiny little guys annoy me.
I’ve owned the Invicta steel black, 2-tone steel/gold blue and black onyx/mother of pearl checkerboard pro divers for 13 years. They are reliable, affordable and comfortable and I would never get rid of them. Thank you for an honest, positive review of a nice intro(Seiko movement) automatic that will serve you well for years.
Yes. TBH I don't understand why enjoying an affordable homage watch gets so much hate. Not talking replica or counterfeit of course, that sucks. But if you want to experience the Submariner look and don't have the will (or means) to buy the real thing, then this is perfectly acceptable. And if people are offended, well... people are offended all the time about useless stuff, so who cares ? Thank you for sharing, see you soon!
MIght you know of a subby homage at this or lower price level with the thicker new subby lugs? So many have the thin one and find some way to make it look subpar on the wrist. They need to increase bezel size and that not even does the trick always. I do like what Tevise does, but now want to try a non-replica wider lug one. I even have a 43mm 22mm bracelet Sinobi and still it doesn't really do it all. Would be cool to find a thick lug Invicta :-)
I own high end watches and I own low end. That said I love to wear my Invictas for daily use. I have 2 Pro Divers and a Daytona version. They actually keep good time, look very nice and have good weight. You can hate all you want but the truth is the truth. They make a good watch.
I've had this watch for 8 years and it's still ticking away perfectly regardless of heavy use... About to buy two more, one to keep nice and one to mod.
Had my Invicta sub since 2006 and it started me on watch collecting. Still works fine. Now I have some pretty nice watches but will always have fond feelings for my Invicta. (But don’t ask about the giant wrist clocks they decided to push after that).
I think some forget they are purchasing a 200m water resistant automatic watch for less than $100 with a seiko movement. Makes me wonder why seiko can't do it for that price. ;)
I actually LIKE the Invicta engraving on the side. Even though it is plainly a Sub homage, you really can't accuse this watch of pretending to be something it isn't. And considering the fact that most normal people don't know what a Rolex Submariner looks like, or have even heard the name Submariner, and considering how popular the Pro Diver is becoming, all that excess branding could establish Invicta as the most recognizable diver-style watch.
Just an update on my last comment to you after your review, I have since purchased this watch from Amazon UK in a sale for the crazy price of £69.99. I really love this watch and everything you said was true. This is my first Invicta and I am very impressed with it. Like you I have a small wrist and it fits perfectly and I have found the height of the watch at 13mm is not a problem. Straight out of the box it is running at +6 seconds per day. I have since purchased the two tone blue version the 8928OB and that is also an amazing watch, again I got it for £69.99. The Seiko movement in these two watches is really good and was the main reason I bought them apart from the look of the watch. Thanks again for your review, this Pro Diver is definately a winner at the price and is great value for money.
Great watch for the price. Can’t go wrong. I’ve had mine for about a year now and had no problems, time keeping is good and the water proofing works as it should
I agree, the NH 35A movement from Seiko is incredibly reliable. A true mechanical workhorse and has been proven to be incredibly robust. I own the blue face/bezel Pro Diver.
Thanks for a honest, unbiased review. I have this watch in the gold-blue dial blue bezel combo and I love it. It is cheap, it is as accurate as my much more expensive watches, and in the sunshine light... well it shines... it looks great. 5 out of 5.
Appreciate the honest if apologetic review. i’ve owned Invictas almost since their rebirth. The early invictas were incredibly made at unbelievable prices (for example, French ebauche automatic with sapphire crystal and real alligator strap for $100). I have several automatics that are super accurate after a decade (without service; not proud of that fact). 3 key points i’ve learned over these last 15 years: the quality and quality control has declined (you are right to say you might have gotten lucky). 2. The foggy look is due to Invicta’s mineral crystal. i won’t buy an Invicta with that crystal. 3. Invicta, Orient, Aragon can be great choices for vacations (not the end of the world if they get stolen) and for those new to mechanical/analog watches. They can take a beating, are maintenance free, and are accurate regardless of price.
Yours is the 2nd review I have seen about this particular watch and it's a great and honest review. I agree Invicta has had some really bad reviews but because of the two reviews I have seen of this particular watch I will definately look at this watch again. For the price and with a hackable Seiko movement you just can't go wrong. Thanks for posting this.
I own a Rolex Sub and Explorer, the problem with these watches is you put your life at risk wearing them, especially in NYC. So these fine, accurate, Swiss made watches sit in my safe. I wear a 16 dollar Casio digital with a ten year battery, which is accurate and I have one that still runs after 12 years. Just saying... I thought it was a good fair review. Thank you.
An Invicta Pro Diver is the best bang for the buck. Wish they would offer a Super Pro with sapphire crystal, solid end links and clasp, 316L and real lume!
...I bought an Invicta 8930 3 weeks ago and I have nothing but good things to say about it...attractive...reliable and accurate...what else do you need?...and delivered to my door for $55.58 ! ...
For the money I think its great . Only had it 3 days & i love it . Mine is the blue-gold Pro Diver looks amazing in the sun . Only + 6 seconds in 24 hours .. Not bad at all .
I've had over a dozen Invicta Pro Divers, most of them I mod and sell. Almost all are fantastically regulated. When I purchase a NH35 movement by itself, it is much more hit and miss on accuracy. This line from Invicta is really fantastic.
@@TheStikapos Generally I replace dial and hands, drop in a sapphire crystal, and might replace the bezel insert. I would sometimes remove the logo from the side of the case and thin the crown guards. I don't have many to sell any more. My hands are getting a bit shaky sometimes. But I do a few here and there.
Had my full stainless steel one for about 4 years and its my daily beater I’ve gone to the beach got sand on it, gone camping, gone boating, gone snorkeling (I don’t dive so got me there but i have a friend that does and im going to give it to him to test it.). It has worked well not super accurate time wise mine is on the faster side. Thing is its a tank for daily beating hasn’t broken hasn’t popped of the pins nothing sofor the money its probably the best you can buy hands down. I now bought a Bulova Moon Watch because i wanted a chrono watch and plan on later getting a seiko SKX to replace my beater invicta.
Also a guy with a slender wrist here. Nice review - I like your pragmatic, and still relaxed approach to the subject, and your subtle humor. You deserve more viewers. I got my Pro Diver today and I am amazed by the finish and apparent value for money. Mine is a conservative all steel with black dial. I wholeheartedly agree with you about the yellow rotor. This is extremely nasty, but luckily it is not visible when on the wrist. They should have settled for a nice engraving - or scrapped the see through back. These low end (but HIGH value) Seiko movements are no beauties, but of course its nice to see something going on in the watch. About the Invicta logo on the side, I am caught between a rock and a hard place. The bracelet is pretty nice - my clasp looks a little bit different and does not have any problems. The thickness of the clasp is pretty impressive. I have Certinas (not saying that Certinas are bad, I have about 20 and generally love this brand from the 60's models to now) that cost 4 times the price with a much thinner clasp. I hate the many butt-ugly (can you say that) models that Invicta make, and I hate it when any brand has these ridiculous MSRPs. But I cannot do anything but love the Pro Diver :)
Thank you for the support! It's great that you got a better clasp, I think it's the weak point of the watch. A very enjoyable timepiece nonetheless. And yeah, the rest of the catalog and marketing, well... we all feel the same I think. Thanks for watching and enjoy yours in good health!
I have the black and stainless. I wear it to work all the time so my good watch isn’t at risk of damage or theft. Not rich enough to take a hit to my one good watch... it’s a decent watch other than the inscribing on the side of the case. 4 seconds slow per day average.
It’s a great watch for the price! I have the blue bezel version with the coin edge bezel. I love the watch, and it does get a lot of compliments. My only complaint is the lume, but I can easily look past it. The accuracy regarding time is great.
I own 5 INVICTA automatic Pro Divers and love them all. I have never had any problems with them including my first one purchased around 2010 which my wife stole from me and would not give back. She wears it all the time and gets complimented often. I have owned some of the larger INVICTA’s but have gotten over that phase and sold them. The Pro Diver in a word: Perfection at a price that could almost be considered a steal.
I own two of these pro Divers & I think that they are great! I have far better watches but enjoy the pro Divers just as much as the others. Nicely made, keeps good time, the same movement as my Seiko PADI Turtle (without day complication) & costs far less! Looks great on the wrist & feels ultra comfortable to wear. A brilliant watch, but not for watch snobs! A great review, all the information required for anyone wanting to know more about this particular model. Well done, sir.
Thank you so much Gary! And yes, you pretty much summed all that is good about this unpretending Invicta watch. I was considering selling mine because it was a little bit *too* tacky but... WTH, naaaaah, I'm gonna keep it :D This two tone looks cracking on a Nato, expect some shots of that combination next week on the channel! Cheers
Ok, how to start. First of all, it is not ugly like most Invicta are. On Amazon, it says not a certified diver watch, good for swimming, not diving. It is very cheap where you can change the band to something that is nice as the one it comes with is hollow links garbage. Change the band and you can have a decent looking watch. I think they have a nice Asian movement that is accurate. I am not a luxury watch collector as I can not afford them. Seiko SKS models ARE certified diver watches. They will serve you well. They have a nice lume too. Prices are all over the place. I have one myself and what I like is I can see the time while swimming in a lake as the water gets kind of dark. They used to cost under 200 dollars US but they seem to be much higher.
Scott SJ seiko watches have good movements oh wait! This invicta has a seiko movement! I get what your saying as I have the same invicta in this video and it’s not my favorite watch in my modest budget collection that would be my citizen eco drive pro master diver but like your seikos they are more than dbl the price as this invicta
I recently bought my 14th watch the Invicta GRAND diver 21323, and out of all my watches this is my favorite one to wear. I've admired it for over a year and when I finally saw one available on Amazon (they were discontinued, I think), I pulled the trigger and bought it. I have NO regrets. Keeps great time, and has 44 hours reserve power. I also love the nautical flags used for numbers. A great touch to it's personality. My model is NOT a Rolex wannabe as some people claim Invicta watches are.
You got a new Subscriber.... I have their larger, 47 mm Grand Diver automatic's, on my wrist most everyday. ( 23 cm wrist ) For the price, you really can't beat them. I have more than a few Invicta's in my collection....which is the way I like it....and some of them are 13-15 years old. I have yet to have a single problem with any of them. And yes...the NH 35 movement in all my Grand Divers keep great time. I keep them in watch winders, and they all keep fantastic time.
The two tone looks great! I am thinking of buying Invicta Pro Diver watch. Good value for the money. The classic also looks great! Thank you Alessandro your videos are heplful in improving my style. God bless!
I bpught a two tone bulova for the exact same reason i really wanted something 80s tastic loud and proud. It really is tacky but i love it .normally im a huge seiko fan i have 6 seikos. So to all you guys who wpuld never try something like these watches your really missing out on some fun
I have the older 3885 and I love it. Takes a beating, hiking, swimming.... I've done a lot and it's flawless. A few scratches here and there but it was my daily for a long time.
The one thing I like about invicta is that whenever u are looking for a watch with specific whatever especially colors they have it all and then some. At least they're not scared to put out anything. I've had a couple in the past inclined the one in the video and no problems ever. They're swiss pro divers are more pricey but even better
Love my Invicta , wear it regularly, great value and keeps good time , what more can u ask for ,, great watches will buy more of them in the future cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Good morning SlenderWrist - Excellent review ! I have been an Invicta fan for many years and own many. I also have the required Rolex's, Breitling's, Tag Heuer's etc. I really love them all but I really tire of the almost universal HATE of all Invicta timepieces. The lower end does exhibit problems although the upper end watches are really quality constructs. Designs are frequently quite beautiful. In any case this was a terrific review. You appear to be a natural in front of a camera. I have no idea what you do for a living but perhaps you should consider something in broadcasting - in front of a camera or behind. Seriously! All the best to you and yours, Terry
I am beginning to feel that Invicta may be a better option than those China brands from Aliexpress. Despite the fact that the latter has good quality such as sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel for the same price, Invicta is still an international brand.
This is probably the best watch for value on the market. I can see an argument for the SKX, but the SKX is 2 to 3X as expensive (depending on the deal you get on the Pro Diver) and the SKX has a host of quality problems too from chapter ring alignment to a horrible bracelet and clasp, no signed crown, no hacking or hand winding. I'd rather buy a $70 pro diver and save for something better. Then there's the whole "save up" for an SKX, Orient or Turtle. But if you're going to "save up" for a Turtle then save up for a real watch. The Turtle has all the crap quality control issues of the SKX. If you can save up $400 for a shit Turtle, save up for a $700 SBDC053 reissue. It's LIGHTYEARS better than a Turtle and only a few hundred more. Buy the $70 Pro Diver and if you like Seiko, save for a Baby Marine Master, Marine Master, Baby Snowflake or even Grand Seiko. Don't listen to broke boys who worship these cult watches like idiots. By the time you have an SKX, Alpinist, Turtle, and Bambino, and all these shitty cult watches, and some straps to go with them, you could have bought a Marine Master or Baby Snowflake. Not worth it. You'll have a drawer full of regret.
ONLY HUNDREDS MORE? what do you think ? Everyone made of money? I’m about to have two kids in college so this invicta is what I can afford hundreds more is not an option!!
brian buchert I think you misunderstood what was being said. He’s saying this is a great watch for the money. If you’re going to save up for a skx, to save up and get one of the other watches he mentioned. But the invicta is pretty much the best option over the others he mentioned if you’re not looking to spend around the $700 price point
The Invicta engraving on the side wasn't a choice by invicta, I am sure they rather it wasn't there. It had to be put there as a settlement clause for Rolex
My 8926 is 10 years old. Its been my work, swim, workout watch all these years. It still keeps good time, its still waterproof and I still love wearing it. Great deal if you ask me.....
Great honest review. Anyone who bashes your review is simply a troll. I have some very pricey watches and some very inexpensive watches and this Is definitely the latter. It’s undeniable that this is a blatant copy of a Submariner, but so were pre-Tag Heuer‘s (844). If this were a cheap knock off with an unknown quartz movement and fake Rolex branding, I would have no interest in it because it’s a poser. But an automatic Seiko Japanese movement for under $90? What’s not to like? So I bought two. One just sits in its “elegant” yellow box and the other one I took out to see just how good or how bad it is. First off, I immediately replaced the bracelet with a gray and black NATO band. Out of the box, there was one issue that really is inexcusable: the crown was loose so that it started to unscrew when setting the date (counter clockwise rotation). I can only chalk that up to poor quality control. Giving the watch the benefit of the doubt I gave it some time to break in. All new automatic watches need some time to break in and this was no exception. After a month or so it was still running faster than I was comfortable with so I opened it up and regulated it to the point to where it has a beat error of only about five seconds per day which really isn’t too bad. That’s really a testament to the Seiko movement. So at 1/100th of the cost of a Rolex, why not get one of these as your beater and not have severe heartache if something happens to it? ....unless of course anything other than a Rolex is beneath you.
Got mine a week ago. Yesterday I see number 8 with the glow floating around inside. So it's $29.00 to ship it for repair. A hour later I've fixed it twice as it popped off and I put superglue at the end of a toothpick to add the glue then hopefully it was still liquid as it got it on spot and pressed it in. So far a few hours since and it's holding still. Maybe this could be why as their not honoring a warranty?
I own the blue version of this watch and I love it! I constantly get compliments on it. I wear it almost every day, while my Rolex sits in a box. I don't think there is any better bang for your buck than Invicta watches. The quality is amazing for the price you pay!
I really like my Invicta Pro Diver. I have the 9094 blue dial with the scalloped bezel. It's a solid, accurate performer with features that would cost an awful lot more with other brands. It was my first automatic watch, so I have Invicta to thank for being my gateway into mechanical watches. Since then I have bought other watches that are objectively better, so my Invicta gets much less wrist time than it used to. But I will never part with it because it was my first.... and it makes watch snobs squeal.
Great and detailed review! I just got this watch and the value for money is excellent and its well made. Just because its inexpensive, people trash it but only because they paid too much for their own diver watch. It makes them feel better to be trolls about Invicta but those who have one know what the bang for buck is. Agreed, the main current weakness is the bracelet but you can upgrade that at modest cost. Slowly, these inexpensive brands are improving and closing the gap on the luxury watches but at 1/20 the price, they also tell the time just as well and last just as long.
This Pro Diver is great, and it's more like at 1/80 of the cost of a Sub. Now, they may look exactly the same, but the Sub is a totally different beast. But then again, not everyone wants (or needs, or can afford) a luxury piece. For those, this Pro Diver nails it. The other valid alternative for me would be the Steinhart Ocean One.
I have the pro diver gold and blue two tone as well .. love the craftsmanship and the style of the pro diver series. Not too big not to flashy very classy , and for the price it’s a steal ! Very good review , very thorough and informative:)
It’s not for me but that’s what makes this a fun hobby! Super great open and honest review and good for you not caring what someone else might think. You have a natural style that doesn’t appear to overly rehearsed and I really like that - Cheers
Thank you so much and you really got what I'm trying to do with this hobby and this channel - help people have fun and enjoy their collection, no matter what other people say. Watch world: why so serious? :) Thanks for watching!
I have had my Pro diver for 11 years & it still looks nearly as good as the day I bought it. If it had been a Rolex it would have had to have services to keep its value. Still keeps fabulous time, what more do you want from a watch.
Nice honest review. The watch looks great. I think homage watches are great for those that don't want to - or can't afford to - shell out loads of money for a Submariner. I personally went for a mathey-tissot rolly vintage. After seeing this review I'm seriously considering getting this Invicta you've reviewed. Weldone and good job.
What do you mean that the blue dial and face Invicta Pro Diver is tacky? I happen to like the blue face and dial with the two tone bracelet. It stands out.
The 8934 has been my daily wear watch for many years, solid, dependable watch, I love the date magnifier. It helps if you're not a poser trying to pass it for something it's not.
I own 40 indicative Pro diver and grand diver watches. They are superb timepieces for the money. I sold diamonds, fine jewelry and fine watches for many years. It's true, to this I many of their models are just awful looking, but you can't go wrong with this line. It's a solid, time-tested Seiko movement, the materials are good, the timekeeping is reasonable for an automatic watch and the price is quite comfortable. I've read comments about the band difficulties, but if you take a little time and get the proper tools the pins that hold watchband together will not come out. I have not had that happen to one of them. I highly recommend this line. I've seen the best I've seen the worst as far as timepieces go and in their price range and for their looks as far as I'm concerned, they're the best.
I've had this watch with the scalloped bezel for 5 years now ....apart from the snobbery , (even from watch repair people)" its not the sieko movement , can't get parts , made in China" etc..I wouldn't touch it ....had an issue with the strap and thought it was due a service , convinced (took me 30 mins) a well respected local repair centre to have a look , clean and service it ....went to pick it up , he really was raving over it , accuracy was really good ("better than most rolex automatics") and it is a genuine nh 35 a movement he said ....replaced o rings and pressure tested it ....passed 200m ....(did say o rings were poor ) so I'm giving mine a very solid 10/10
Great Review!! I have three Invictas the silver black Quartz pro diver and a speed way plus my Green Monster 20096 and i love them all there well made reliable and accurate pieces.
Great job. Just got 8926ob and 8927ob. Love them both so much I found myself splitting time wearing each one. You’re right, just have fun. Invicta’s Pro Diver 40mm automatic collection is great: very good quality, handsome look and phenomenal value.
When you can't afford a $100,000 Rolex, but then find out the Invicta 8926 0. B pro diver is exactly the same watch. Which has many superior parts to the rolex.
That Invicta is looking really crisp on video. You do keep it clean. I just ordered the black standard one today. I bought one for my brother as a gift nearly 2 years ago but have been wanting one ever since. Prime day is today so $55. Great deal.
I have had one and it's a good watch for the price. Mine is fast due to it being magnetised. I need to get it demagnetised. How that happened I have no idea. I don't wear it as often now as I replaced it as my day to day with the Enoksen Deepdive Cousteau edition. The Enoksen is a beast.
Just bought all gold One yesterday, I can see why people may hate. But if at the same time people can’t really afford a 10k watch and this watch is the closet and by far the best I’ve ever had. And your review taught me a lot about my new watch! Thank you
I used to dislike Invicta watches like most snobs, until I bought one. I am actually very impressed with the quality in the affordable watch category. I just bought this Quartz model and I like it very much. Nothing is wrong with two-tone lol. Not tacky at all.
@@mauriciotorres5875 That is my philosophy, too. I could buy a Rolex if I wanted. I don't. I prefer to have a selection. right now, I have 22 or 23 watches. Sometimes I change multiple times a day. Depends on my mood or what I am doing.
My friend owns several high end watches including a Rolex Submariner. And he has 3 Invicta divers in his collection because they're his favorite watches. Because of him I added a Invicta diver to my modest stable of watches, its worn no less than twice a week. I can care less about the superfluous engraving, it's not supposed to be a Rolex anyway. It has a basic dependable workhorse for it's movement and actually a better timepiece than my more expensive Seiko. It's wrong to compare it to a luxury watch because it isn't. What it is is a perfectly fine watch for under $100. Head and shoulders over the MVMNT, Vincero, or Daniel Wellington crap pawned off on the interwebs.
The Invicta Pro Diver is an excellent watch. The haters dislike the fact that the Rolex is being cloned. The movement is a Seiko and is very reliable. It's the best watch for the money. Mine is about -4 secs per day which can be improved upon if you have a time grapher.
Great video! I have a Rolex submariner, and a GMT master two. But I also have a few of these Invicta pro diver‘s. They are not the best homage out there if that’s what you’re looking for, but I will tell you this right now, they are far from the worst and good luck finding an automatic watch with a reliable seiko NH35 movement done to the quality that this watches for anywhere near the price point. Invicta is a watch super power. They really have the market cornered on every type of time piece and there is something for everyone in the catalog. I am not into the huge oversized flashy watches, but they have a plethora of amazing low cost quality time pieces that suit my needs for every day wear and tear. So as someone who owns High tier pieces, mid tier pieces, and low tier pieces I can honestly say I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this watch! Great review and if you’ve never tried one, what do you have to lose? People that do not know nor care about wrist watches won’t be able to tell the difference between a $70 watch and a $10,000 watch! That’s just the cold hard truth.
The Invicta pro diver 89260B * Excellent quality Seiko NH 35 A mechanicals * On par with Swiss accuracy * Durable Mineral crystal * Quality level on par or exceeds many micro brands up to $500 USD * Quality stainless steel construction * Quality band * Exhibition back * Cyclops date viewer * Overall very nice finish * Bezel is ratted as good as watches in the thousands of dollars. This is a great watch that does most everything better than a watch costing 4x more. The only 2 things are: #1.It's a little thick but very comfortable with this Slightly better than average band. #2. The illumination does fade quicker than one would expect. Overall an excellent quality watch for the price and good diver ( unless night dives as illumination fades) At the end of the day a Rolex diver does nothing better ( except illumination) Also the watch is a bit thick but not overly.
Great review! You don’t have to justify your like of this watch, in fact no one does! I just ordered this in blue two tone! When I get it when not wearing it it will sit in my watch box right between my Rolex sub and my Tudor black bay red. For the money this is a great value!
Great Video! Just bought the exact same watch and i cant fault it very well made and very accurate. This is my 5th Invicta and they are all good. I know they do make some over the top models but i don't understand all the hatred toward them. Well Made good value timepiece.
I own several Seikos and several Invictas, of which, two are regular Pro Divers. I have the two-tone blue bezel and sunburst blue dial that is drop dead gorgeous and has the Seiko NH-35A movement. I also have the older version black bezel, black dial with scalloped bezel edge. It has the non-handwinding, non-hackable Miyota automatic movement. Both are very accurate watches, but the NH-35A (generic 4R35) is as accurate as you spoke about in the video. It is more accurate than my SKX 007, 2 Samurais, and 2 Turtles. The haters are the same ones that tout the good and bad on other watches. So let me hit some. You hit some in the video. 1. Applied indices - they are meticulously placed and have gold backing 2. Bezel - Shiny blue with gold numbers and markers. Legible in all types of light. Bezel aligns PERFECTLY and not loose or tight. Just a smooth turn. 3. Finishing - The finishing is as good as most $500-$750 watches. Sharp lines between the brushed and polished areas. The 18kt gold plating on the bezel is, again, done meticulously. 4. Crown - easy to use and has no play. It is SIGNED. 5. Bracelet - solid links (not rolled) with hollow end-links. The finishing is exquisite. Again, the 18kt gold plating is done very well. The clasp has no play in it and has 4 micro-adjustments. Would I prefer a milled clasp like the Grand Diver? Sure. But this is no worse than many non-hated watches. So, if the haters couldn't see the logo and just evaluated the watch, it would probably rate a 7/10...maybe 8!
I have an open heart version without the cyclop and date. My bezel is a little misaligned from the lume dot and it takes a bit of elbow grease to turn it. However the lume on mine seems stronger than the unit in the video. I think your mileage will vary on Invicta divers. My only other gripe apart from the bezel is that the dial is just so busy with branding at 12 o clock and fine print at 6 o clock.
Hey Alexandro, I have watched this video many times and was already an owner of the black dial on stainless pro diver which I have been delighted with. I took a chance on the sunburst blue dial with gold center links but it was definitely too much for me to pull off haha. You swayed me into trying the black on gold and I must say my eyes are glued to it. A really nice piece. Thank you for the great video 😉😊
As an owner of Rolex and Omega as well as Seiko, Orient, Citizen and Phoibos, I am amazed how Invicta can make such a good watch at such a low price - I regularly wear my Invicta a day after my GMT Master II or Seamaster or my PADI diver - I am proud to wear it because it’s a good watch!
I'm currently thinking about one of 2: Orient Ray 2 FAA02003B9 or Invicta Diver 0420 Titanium. Orient seems for me have better quality but I'm not sure if coating will last . Invicta have titanium parts so they should stay OK for years, movement is from Seiko Japan so should be Ok as well for long time... Any recommendations? Which one should be better and why?
Hello, great site. I think that the bi-colour looks good on you, sadly, my skin tone is not good with yellow gold. But I have bought the stainless steel version and at 90€ it is fantastic value. I have been selling watches for 25 years from Timex to Patek and I've always been of the opinion that you should "wear it if you love it" and it doesn't matter what the brand is! I have purchased a couple of great Seikos in the last couple of years and I love them! Poor old Invicta gets awful press but I have only heard good things about the Pro Diver. Keep up the good reviews, Jim.
I really like mine but it does lose a couple minutes every few days. I've had it a few years. I'm going to get a new one to use as a dress watch and get an Orient Ray 2 to try as my daily
I've killed one of these : 1) bushcraft, motorcycles, machine shops , solvents , gas , oil wood shops.... but yes 7 years it died . Totally bleached out the bezel . And off 2-3 min a day . Would a rolex have lasted ? $8,500 to find out
just bought it on Amazon for $112 Canadian. Crazy good value. Bought it for my business casual look and because I have a gold wedding band on my hand. Will follow up after 3 months.
I wear my Invicta loud and proud!!!
So do I.
Me 3
@kryk Walters my father asked if I wanted his Rolex , but said no its ok everyone assumes its fake anyway and I'm happy with my many invictas .
INVICTA PRO DIVER ROCKS!!!👍
I love my Invicta pro diver.
@@fiveowaf454 exactly. We can have a decent watch for under $100, under $50 like yours.
@@ElectricBlakeGames That about sums it up.
Also thanks for not joining in with all the Invicta hatred.
No need to - it's a valid option as an affordable Rolex Submariner alternative. In hindsight, I would probably not have bought it, but not because it's not a great watch for the money - I now want to save for something a little bit more luxurious. Still, it's a very good choice.
Anyone that gets angry over a watch is a pathetic low life as far as I'm concerned! If you don't like it fair enough but move on!
@jp félix not anymore. It has no swiss heritage anymore. Invicta is all about copying Rolex now. Very UNoriginal.
@@MrKimkimwong Rolex copied Blancpain. So your argument is moot.
The green lume is so ugly
@Sole Survivor I have to agree about that. Clearly not the USP of that watch.
Cloxxki Tisell marine diver
I own high end watches and I own low end. That said I love to wear my Invictas for daily use. I have 2 Pro Divers and a Daytona version. They actually keep good time, look very nice and have good weight. You can hate all you want but the truth is the truth. They make a good watch.
I'm buying one straight away. Thank you.
Monk see monk do?
Barnaby Bourbon hahaha soooo funy
C'mon admit it , it's a good watch. Good review.
Makes me wonder why seiko can't do it for that price. ;)
I own two of them. One two tone blue with scallop bezel and the other stainless with blue dial. Bought are accurate time pieces. Good job by Invicta.
As a working man who would never spend $15,000 on a watch. I just love the Invicta. I have 3 and I get lots of positive comments on them.
Not only are you a working class man, you're a smart working class man.
Bought mine 2 years ago and still like new! I would recommended hands down. Can’t hate on the watch, works great and looks great at its price point😉👍🏼
Great watch for the price. Can’t go wrong. I’ve had mine for about a year now and had no problems, time keeping is good and the water proofing works as it should
More importantly, you didn't spend 15k on another watch that does the very freaking same thing 😅
I have the Invicta Aviator automatic with the NH 35A movement and it is crazy accurate and for under a $100 U.S. i got 2 of them great reviews
I agree, the NH 35A movement from Seiko is incredibly reliable. A true mechanical workhorse and has been proven to be incredibly robust. I own the blue face/bezel Pro Diver.
I bought mind for $150 US cause I didn't know how much it really costed
Great watch at that price point. There is absolutely nothing in the market at that price point with that quality.
Thank you.
Your a pussy
Charlie Mendoza 😂😂😂😂😂😂
No point owning a watch if your not wearing it
steve LUFC64 well a lot of watches appreciate in value so there is a very good point in buying watches.
steve LUFC64 Not really he can collect them, doesn’t mean he has to wear them. Plus, Rolex watches are an investment and their price change in time.
An Invicta Pro Diver is the best bang for the buck. Wish they would offer a Super Pro with sapphire crystal, solid end links and clasp, 316L and real lume!
At that point you might as well get a Seiko
...I bought an Invicta 8930 3 weeks ago and I have nothing but good things to say about it...attractive...reliable and accurate...what else do you need?...and delivered to my door for $55.58 !
What gets modded and where do you sell ?
@@TheStikapos Generally I replace dial and hands, drop in a sapphire crystal, and might replace the bezel insert. I would sometimes remove the logo from the side of the case and thin the crown guards.
I don't have many to sell any more. My hands are getting a bit shaky sometimes. But I do a few here and there.
@@jdkimple just because your hands are shaky…doesn’t mean you aren’t amazing! Keep the faith, baby!
They should make a sapphire crystal one and charge $100 for it, still a great value
Jay S. I have a 9937. Which has the sapphire and Swiss eta movt, great watch .
@@G17-911 9937 has a flame fusion, not a sapphire
Jay S. No. Mine was one of the original 9937. On the case back it says sapphire .
And with solid end links
And with milled clasp.
Seriously!
All the best to you and yours,
Terry
I am beginning to feel that Invicta may be a better option than those China brands from Aliexpress. Despite the fact that the latter has good quality such as sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel for the same price, Invicta is still an international brand.
I own an Invicta 29180 and I love that watch with a passion .
MrAhuraMazda187 good points
@Dunecigar agreed. I keep seeing that comment but never any documentation or articles about it.
I wouldn't be surprised that it's a fact, only they also do it on many of their others that don't look like a Submariner?
Doom Father TM this is not true in fact Rolex doesn’t own the “look” of the submariner which is why so many homages are made
That is a made up lie. So many watches that look like a sub without engravings on the side
[citation needed]
Had mine for 5 years. I'm a mechanic. No lens scratches. Its been great.
I own the blue version of this watch and I love it! I constantly get compliments on it. I wear it almost every day, while my Rolex sits in a box. I don't think there is any better bang for your buck than Invicta watches. The quality is amazing for the price you pay!
Great Indepth review, must say I have had great luck with the Invicta Brand. Thanks
That feels great, right? :)
Lately there are so many honest reviews on RUclips. I have started missing the dishonest ones!
The 8934 has been my daily wear watch for many years, solid, dependable watch, I love the date magnifier. It helps if you're not a poser trying to pass it for something it's not.
I bought one 1 year ago and it's still good
I own 40 indicative Pro diver and grand diver watches.
Great video. I own the open heart model; always receive tons of compliments.
That Invicta is looking really crisp on video. You do keep it clean. I just ordered the black standard one today. I bought one for my brother as a gift nearly 2 years ago but have been wanting one ever since. Prime day is today so $55. Great deal.
I have the 89280b and I love it. I wear it everyday, with no problems.
I'm wearing an Invicta Pro Diver right now! I really like my Grand Diver too. Peace!

A good watch at a great price. Have two. One has a "pave" dial which looks brilliant in sun light.
I love Invicta so much, some 15 in my collection
Mauricio Torres 15 watches any of your sold them all you couldn't get 300 you could use that money for the 15 watches and bought a quality watch
@@HoosierRooster You are right, but with 15 watches I can change every day and dont get bored with just one watch no matter if it is high quality
@@mauriciotorres5875 That is my philosophy, too. I could buy a Rolex if I wanted. I don't. I prefer to have a selection. right now, I have 22 or 23 watches. Sometimes I change multiple times a day. Depends on my mood or what I am doing.
I've only ever had one person notice my watch, it was a watch snob looking down on my Seiko SKX009. Weird!
I've had this watch over a yr and ìt's fantastic in every way.
Great review brother. Really like that you’re not a snob!
Good day! Which has better movement between 30092 and 29179? Your answer will be very much appreciated thanks!!
The Invicta pro diver 89260B
* Excellent quality Seiko NH 35 A mechanicals
* On par with Swiss accuracy
* Durable Mineral crystal
* Quality level on par or exceeds many micro brands up to $500 USD
* Quality stainless steel construction
* Quality band
* Exhibition back
* Cyclops date viewer
* Overall very nice finish
* Bezel is ratted as good as watches in the thousands of dollars.
This is a great watch that does most everything better than a watch costing 4x more.
The only 2 things are:
#1.It's a little thick but very comfortable with this Slightly better than average band.
#2. The illumination does fade quicker than one would expect.
Overall an excellent quality watch for the price and good diver ( unless night dives as illumination fades)
At the end of the day a Rolex diver does nothing better ( except illumination)
Also the watch is a bit thick but not overly.
What about the gold plated… dose it fade
1. Applied indices - they are meticulously placed and have gold backing
Invicta watches seem to have a level of workmanship that a lot of other watches lack for a very affordable price
I own the Pro Diver from Invicta and the craftsmanship/features would definitely cost at least 2-3x more from other brands
What a great review, man! Thanks! A few questions, if you may: Its feel heavy on the wrist? How much exactly your fist measures?
I have three 9937ob , two 4469 waves, one 4469 MOP, I love them.
I have three friends who wear Rolex Sub to dinner - I wear my Invicta, tip twice as much and I always get the waitress' phone number.
I’m sure it’s not because of the watch your wearing most women don’t know the difference
@@brianbuchert6382 exactly🤣
Maybe time to get it cleaned? Automatics are supposed to be cleaned about every 5 years max.
Do you also have a wrist size that changes during the day, sometimes it's bigger and smaller?
I've killed one of these : 1) bushcraft, motorcycles, machine shops , solvents , gas , oil wood shops.... but yes 7 years it died . Totally bleached out the bezel . And off 2-3 min a day .
Would a rolex have lasted ? $8,500 to find out
just bought it on Amazon for $112 Canadian. Crazy good value. Bought it for my business casual look and because I have a gold wedding band on my hand. Will follow up after 3 months.
Paul Boucek how’s the gold plated holding up?
