Oh that self etch primer stinky stuff but works great. In my opinion I'd paint the frame the blue that's on the sheet metal it would all look uniform and match

You may have been better to put the spring latches on the cover, not on the unit. When you run it with the cover off, the loose springs will scratch the paint on the top.
Now just clean the heck outta the black part of the apu now and spray it with gloss clear coat and it eill.look fantastic

Put tape over where you are drilling holes and it won't rip the paint around the holes.

My first job as the lube tech/accessory installer for the local Toyota dealer involved lots of drilling holes in brand new FourRunners and Land Crushers for threaded rivets to mount roof racks, air foils and wind deflectors. Measure 30 times, rivet once.

Hello Bruce from Michigan I love everything you have done to your truck so far and I would definitely hook up your exhaust buddy and you should've done clear lights on your truck instead of amber.
I hope you get the fronts of those fenders clear wrapped...if you don't they'll be sand blasted in no time.

Black looks fine but if you change it....Chrome the side panels of the APU!
I just hate the feeling of the round headlights for the Peterbilt, maybe with some old ones they'd look nice but it's your own truck, so.

Hi Bruce, big amount of styling-work but I prefer the 70‘s/80‘s stock styling. So for me polished half-fenders and mud-flaps wirh a pretty logo would be it. And I don‘t like the monster-square-front-bumpers and windscreen-visors. Less is more, but only my opinion / style. But I respecr your style and like your vids.

truck is lookin sweet dude but question.....thoes rubbers on the tank straps are thoes grooved? if so swap them out for the smooth ones that way rocks and debri don't settle down in and eventually wear a hole in ur tanks
Grooved? Never seen any groved tank isoltors..and nothing you can do will keep dirt out of them..Over 2 million miles on one of my trucks and the tanks are fine.
@@leejohnson6173 well I'm a 310t mechanic and almost all our fleet has the grooved isolators and we are changing them left right and center and I know ur not going to prevent it 100% but it helps forsure
