@@thewedge8823 Like she said in the vid, it's a really versatile guitar. You can get heaps of different tones out of it clean and it's also feels suuupper nice to play because of how light and ergonomic it is. So it just gives you a bit more bang for your buck, provided you want more than just a strat sound (which is gorgeous, don't get me wrong!).

St. V/Annie Clark doesn't need a "cheerleader"; IMHO Jack Antonoff only horribly enabled Annie, indulging her in distractions. Her earlier collaboration with David Byrne was worthy of her talents besides whatever "coattails" he provided. Her prior work of varied CDs with producer Jon Congleton stands far above the derivative "Taylor Swift" schlock Antonoff "curated" into Mass Whatever - so bad she put out a "piano version" follow-up that shows her talent without the crap. Congleton shaped her talent, which she has in spades. She came off her 'Digital Witness' world tour (of stuff done w/ Congleton) & got caught up in NY & Jack's capacity for shtick. Antonoff is the crutch - she doesn't need.

@@thecandyman9308 Thank you & lest you think I've a chip on my shoulder re: NY, I don't. I hear she's in LA more now (w/ film interest) & that music has brought Congleton there. Touring took its toll; she needed a base. [Sorry, not Dallas.] In one interview Jon said she was like Hendrix - needing riffs connected. Jack may be more 'cool' than Jon, but as the Beatles needed an 'adult' George Martin, the LAST thing St. V needs is to be Swifted. IMHO her music/lyric writing rivals some of the best teams; her playing & voice 2nd to none.

@@JP51ism Totally agree. If anything, I'm sympathetic to her going in the Antonoff direction. No artist is perfect and she understandably wanted some more commercial appeal. Did she find it w/ Masseduction? Don't think so, but I understand the want- need, even- to do so. I'm sure she'll make more great music at some point, while I'll make my peace w/ Masseduction as my Soft Parade of her catalog.

  • @jibicusmaximus4827

I try but I find her playing too uncontrolled and out there, basically I hate her sounds and playing most of the time, she is stiiff in her body and her playing and it just sounds ham fisted to me, she is original though, her voice reminds me of bjork and I like it but... Her lyrics seem to abstract and opened ended, I think that can be great sometimes but I don't particularly like the way she does that either. I haven't listened to that much admittedly but it don't matter what I think any way... Signature guitars is some thing I dream about though as a player..
