Ordering this figure got me back into collecting, so I am grateful for it. For a while, I had lost interest in collecting due to the prices of figures and lack of effort, specifically in the paint department, but seeing this go up for pre-order, I knew I should get it. Can't wait for it to arrive.
I agree it definitely looks like the best version. For the questions I'll only get different colored figures if it's a huge improvement plus comes accessories etc. The movie was also good and a lot of fun, reminded me of the showa era films of the 60s-70s. I wasn't a big fan of the pink at first but seeing him in action it grew on me and reminded me of Godzilla 2000
It is updated version of the 2021 updated version. They applied the slim neck pieces of the Translucent version of Godzilla for better neck articulation and have wider gaps on the tail for more possibility and stress resistance. These are minor updates but still an updates out of themselves. Unlike SHMA who is a bigger company yet gives less 2 dirt about their american based product.
for question of the day, i buy the exact same figure that i have , just in case if my figure's joint eventually gave up, could just replace it with the new one hehe
Always been a godzilla fan my whole life, love the legendary version. But ive only got one of this mold and that was the metalic blue accent Godzilla from GvK. It looks really cool in my opinion but i noticed every movie that gets a figure seems to be pretty much the same. Ive only gotten then one with no intrest for other version. Dont see the value in repaints unless its like the predator movie having an Arnold normal and Arnold in heat vision if that makes sense. Even then ive always been to broke to just be buying repaints 😭🤨
Luckily, i preordered my right before it was sold out from bigbad. Anyone know when they're actually starting to ship?. My first hiya goji before i only bought neca Shin and MGK
Initially, I was going to pass on this figure since I had the 2019 and the burning, but I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about this one and it generally looks a bit better than the 2019 as far as the paint goes with the skin and the eyes and from what everybody says, the articulation is a lot smoother on this copy. I won’t lie if I find this for a good price while I’m overseas I’m definitely gonna snag it.
I love godzilla and this is not a diss to Hiya but I am done with the Legendary Godzilla design. The Neca Godzilla from like 10 years ago is all I have and need for this Godzilla. I am looking forward to the Hiya Toho Godzilla stuff, as Bandai deserves more competition there.
They are all the same with minor changes. Like the dorsal plates are sharper on the Godzilla vs Kong series. I have sold two Hiya Toys Godzilla so far.
For the question of the day, I don't buy multiple of the same figure. I get that Hiya improved the articulation and paint jobs on the new versions but I generally don't buy copies unless there's some significant visible changes.
I love Hiya, but they really need different Godzilla figures. I have the Godzilla King of the Monsters version and I got very lucky with the paint job and eye details. Because of this, all these different iterations of the same figure are just too similar to justify buying them.

Yeah. 3 months is pretty recent and i don't suspect it performed very well. Everyone was talking about minus 1 and I've heard nothing about this movie.

Nah Godzilla and alien/predator figures make very little sense to me, unless it’s drastically different in design obviously.
