    Thumbs up for your top notch repair. A big thumbs down for owning a Dyson vacuum (any model). Remember people.....never buy a bagless vacuum.....ever!

      Why ‘never buy a dyson’ or ‘a bagless vacuum’?

      What vacuum to do recommend? I have this model, its 13 years old so I will replace it soon. My previous vacuum was a Wertheim and I had many issues with it.

      @@nadinelillia2015 Because there are too many expensive filter, way too much time wasted on clean up, and quite frankly, way overpriced for what you get. This channel has so many other great options that you can out on their review videos. I personally have a Miele and this year it will be 10 years old, having no problems whatsoever. BTW, Miele sports a 9-ply disposable filter bag which is an amazing feature.

    Ah I remember when I first started getting into vacuums seriously. I reached out to you with advice regarding on how to repair this, and you told me to throw it away. Since then I’ve purchased a vacuum and several accessories (making sure I used your affiliate code) and I’ve learned so much. Keep doing what you do, and I will make sure to pay a visit when I go to CO!

      Never throw anything away. Just put it somewhere you can forget about it until later.

    nice tip on the gasket which is otherwise a pita, I just ended up super glue it into place lol

    I found one these, essentially on it's way to the dump. I just took it apart carefully so not too much dander would float up my nose...(I still smell dog and don't have one). Anyway, it's a vacuum, which are generally expensive. So, way to go helping show this stuff in the name of repairing, revitalizing, and reusing, instead of throwing away.

    Ah yes, the vacuum that gave my family buyer's remorse, bought it in 2020 right when the pandemic began because my mother wanted a canister vacuum and insisted on one since she wasn't too big on uprights and had mainly used Kenmore canisters for the past few years until buying our first upright a Dyson DC17, we had a very good expeariance with the Dyson DC17 and decided hey Dyson makes a canister let's get her that, the ball end of the brush head broke a few months in and the thing still too this day has suction issues, got to the point we just went back to using the DC17

    Definitely my least favorite Dyson Canister. What are your thoughts on the DC26? I got one recently and I absolutely love it. Of course the tiny turbo nozzle isn't appropriate for my carpet, but for tool use it's surprisingly good and it's super cute and tiny.

    • @PerformanceReviews

      I have always wanted a DC26 there so small and cute . I don't think they were ever appropriate for the US market.

    Do you know if there is a reset button for the motor? Mine just quit one day and I haven't used it that much.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  6 месяцев назад +1

      These machines are way past their expected lifespan. That's possible you could have overheated it which will take about an hour for it to reset itself. When that process happens you need to change both filters which means you're going to have to go to a vacuum store and have them break it down to the motor.

    Why does the Dyson Ball 3 have weak suction in the wand, but is fine with the floor mode?

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  2 месяца назад +1

      Maybe something is stuck in it? Hard to say without it in front of me. I would bring it to a local vacuum store.

    • @ABHORRANCE831
      @ABHORRANCE831 2 месяца назад

      @@PerformanceReviews Possibly so. I can't find any observations. Filters are all in heat condition. When the changeover valve switches yo the wand mode, it makes that pop and higher pitched sucking sound with little airflow. The floor mode is sucking strongly.

    My brush on my floor head moves but when I use on the carpet it stops moving when on carpet. Any thoughts on this ? It spins when you turn it upside down and I’ve given it a thorough clean too
