The way that you just showed everyone how to do the job without a single word of unnecessary waffle... Everybody here salutes you
Excellent. No 60 minutes of talking nonsense just getting down to it. Love it. Thank you. Saved to my bookmarks for easy reference.
Just finished disassembling and cleaning my V8. I only had one little issue which I think I resolved, however my Dyson now has a slight whistle ;) which not only doesn't
bother me but brings a smile to my face. I'm pretty proud of myself for taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together again. Thank you for your excellent tutorial!
Thank you so much. This was not only informative but therapeutic.
Excellent - a fine example of how such videos should be done. A splendid resource for people like me who can’t trust anything until they’ve taken it to bits . . . 😂
I will also add my support for NO useless talking. Well done. Love your channel
Thank you, glad u like it!
Disassembly with no talking 10/10
And
ASSEMBLY 🫨 20/10
Thank you . And loved that you didn’t say a thing just showed how to do it. Yeah!!!
Best video - incredibly useful. Thank you for taking the time to show how it's done. So very helpful and straight to the point.
One of the best and helpful video I ever seen!!! Did everything, work perfect 👍🏻 thank u!!! 🎉
Thanks! I had a problem reaching the 4 T8s. In the cyclone head. The bit was too short and the handle too wide. Then I saw you put the screws into the lid of the same I fix it kit I have. So I went back and noticed you used a hex bit as an extender! Brilliant video!
thanks for taking the time to share this how to. very useful for short and long term maintenance.
You're welcome, thanks for leaving a comment
Excellent instructions without words!❤
"Staying in one piece" is not the problem, but if cheap plastics are used there is a risk of deformation. Anyway I tested it yesterday and ALL parts are perfectly fine and therefore dishwasher safe @ 65°C. Of course the two red & black gaskets made out of foam should be cleaned manually.
There is just one rubber seal you missed to remove and show in your video. It is mounted on the plastic part opposite to the round metal filter. I also removed the red rubber seal on the dust container by removing two T10 Torx screws. There was alot of gunk around that seal. The black rubber seal on the container cover can also be removed. All these rubber seals should be cleaned with special rubber care spray that keeps the rubber soft and elastic.
In the end I want to thank you for your helpful video.
Thanks for the feedback. Good tips. I didn't know those seals come off easily. I will give it a try next time. Thanks for the feedback.
Dishwasher safe? Is there any concern about corroding the electrical terminals?
@@aLatios
Of course we were discussing the disassembled plastic components only !
@@MichaelM-tt5wd yes. I seem to remember that a lot of the plastic components do still have the electrical terminals in them so that the brush gets power.
Fabulous video! The only one I've found for the model and type Dyson vac that I have. The rest of the videos I've seen are silly compared to yours. I haven't needed to do a complete break down - deep cleaning as of yet but if I ever do I'll be back to watch this video and any others you have. Very fine video indeed. Thank you!
Thank you very much for leaving a comment. 👍Thanks for the kind words.
Thank you so much!!! This was super helpful, cheers!!
Cheers mate really appreciated your video gave absolutely crystal clear instructions 5⭐️
Thank you Bruce. Thanks for your comment.
Wow. So helpful, thank you!
Beyond helpful. Many thanks 🙏🏻
Cheers bro, just saved me buying a new one
Best tutorial ever, now i know.
Thank you 👍
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you
Really lovely video! It would be helpful if you could list the exact tool sizes needed in the description as I had the same issue as another viewer where I didn’t realize I needed smaller than I had! I appreciate the link for a toolkit though, very helpful. Thank you!
Excellent video - thanks
Thanks. that was a big help!
Super vid, how to clean your dyson but also doubles as an asmr vid 😊
Haha tnx, I hope you enjoyed it.
Perfect video! Thank you so much
Thank you so so so so so so much from germany. I ve disassembled it, washed it and now waiting for the parts to fully dry. I was shocked about how much gunk there was inside the cyclone parts 😮😮😮😮 🤮
You're welcome, they do indeed get pretty dirty inside.
Very useful, thank you so much
Thank you sooo much for the in-depth video. I swear my Dyson vacuum will last years longer due to cleaning all the parts of the vacuum. Thank you - thank you!
You're welcome, I hope you enjoy it for a long time to come. Thanks for leaving a comment. 👍
Thanks alot for your help.
Nice! Thank you for this video
You're welcome Beccie.
Very very clear how to do
Great jobs. Thanks
Excellent video, thanks.
Thank you very much
merci pour ces explications
I didn't destroy anything. Awesome tutorial!
Thank you. Haha nice that everything is still in one piece.
Gracias , excelente video !!
Excellent demonstration. The post filter is a bit different on the V8.
I don't think every v8 has a removable post filter, but I'm not sure. The biggest difference between the v7 and v8 is the battery. The v8 uses different cells. 20700 instead of 18650.
Only video I can find which explains how to remove the rear casing to clean motor filter. Sadly hasnt fixed my issue of not working in max mode. But great video anyway.
Thank you, what happens if you use you're dyson in max mode? Pulsing or does it stop and flash a blue light on the battery?
@SpareTimeWorkshop it just cut out. And doesn't work at all.
@@andyt5007 OK, I guess battery needs replacement then.
Very very thank you 🙏🙏
Perfect! Thanks!
You're welcome.👍thanks for watching.
Thank you❤
fabulous
Thanks!
Thank you very much
Ahhh, I had the cone shaped thing upside down and it would suck dirt straight under the white jets . Had it like that for a year .
Excellent video - except I'd add a bit about really cleaning the flap valve. This is a mojor area of blockage for me - and it's really difficult to clean. Well done.
Thank you. Cleaning that valve is indeed a hassle. I don't have a handy way to do it either. I've also been fiddling with it for a while with cotton swabs and wipes. Many things I have to shorten because otherwise it becomes a very long video.
So I rinse water through the cylinder thing once a week. Probably not a good idea?
Is there anywhere I can get those two gaskets (red and black) online? I have checked amazon and they have some but it doesn't look the same.
Having a terrible time getting the cyclone to come off. Seems the two red rods that go into the channel are stuck and so hard to get in and out. Also when trying to pull up on the little red handle to discard contents, it is so hard to pull up and down. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Try lubricating both with some wd-40, that thing does wonders
After how many years of use is this buildup from?
I started disassembly but was annoyed to see that the smallest Torx I have is a 10...so now I need to go to the store 😩
I didn't realise how many part's went into this tiny thing 😮
I need a dust filter for a Hoover Max Extract® 60 Pressure Pro™
Ok. I can't help you with that, unfortunately. Have you already looked on amazon?
@@SpareTimeWorkshop it's the dissappear man code words from breaking bad xx
@@thomas.69 Haha, I didn't know that. I didn't watch that one.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I reassembled it as you showed but it is heavy to close it and the led won’t close well 😢 any suggestions please
14:14 This part is probably not quite in place.
👍
would there be risk in just dunking the entire cyclone assembly in hot water for a couple of hours with dish soap and then letting dry for 24-48 hours?
I think the chances of water being left behind in it are high.
I think I would buy a new one before I attempted all of this !!!
followed all and still does the same thing Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
That is indeed annoying, what kind of malfunction does your Dyson have?
hi! which screwer size it is?
If I remember correctly, the screws are torx T8 or T10. In the video I include the screw sizes.
Bro thanks for the video but just buy a Henry hoover it’s the best
Haha Henry hoover is very cool. But I still have to say I go for the Dyson. I personally use a V8 with an upgraded battery.
Make a video on ps4 slim
don't own a ps4 slim. And I would like to make more dyson movies first.
I just know if I went to that level it wouldn’t be working when I put it back together
Unfortunately the only way I feel like I can remove the dog smell from the hoover is to deep clean the intricate vent bit
Is it stupid to put all the plastic parts except for the gaskets into the dishwasher ?
don't think those parts survive the dishwasher. I would wash it by hand just to be sure.
@@SpareTimeWorkshop
I'll give it a try @ 60°C and keep you posted . . .
@@MichaelM-tt5wd Okay super, I'm very curious. I hope everything stays in one piece.
asmr
Theres no button at the bottom of my dyson?!
Nope 😮
Bloody thing...I spend more time trying to clean it than actually vacuuming. Worst appliance I have bought. I will never buy another Dyson product.
100%. Agree. Over priced garbage.
I am not even going to try
Thanks for covering all dismantling procedures 🦘
