Just finished disassembling and cleaning my V8. I only had one little issue which I think I resolved, however my Dyson now has a slight whistle ;) which not only doesn't
bother me but brings a smile to my face. I'm pretty proud of myself for taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together again. Thank you for your excellent tutorial!

"Staying in one piece" is not the problem, but if cheap plastics are used there is a risk of deformation. Anyway I tested it yesterday and ALL parts are perfectly fine and therefore dishwasher safe @ 65°C. Of course the two red & black gaskets made out of foam should be cleaned manually.
There is just one rubber seal you missed to remove and show in your video. It is mounted on the plastic part opposite to the round metal filter. I also removed the red rubber seal on the dust container by removing two T10 Torx screws. There was alot of gunk around that seal. The black rubber seal on the container cover can also be removed. All these rubber seals should be cleaned with special rubber care spray that keeps the rubber soft and elastic.
In the end I want to thank you for your helpful video.
