I really hope you find this DaVinci tutorial useful. If you give it a go yourself, let me know down below how it goes! I’m really keen to see if people prefer using the Cut page to edit vs editing with the multicam viewer in the edit page :) Happy editing everyone!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. This prompted my thought. So I thought I'd share it with you. You could layer multiple multicams in a sequence, each switched to different angles and select the cams from the ATEM Seqeunce and drop them through each multicam layered: ruclips.net/video/53t4GJuXwUI/видео.html
@@G_handle Sure! To start I have mapped "move clips up" to my page up key and "move clips down" to my page down key. I've followed everything Alex lays out for coloring the clips and setting up the multicam. Then I layerd the ATEM sequence on V4 and under it 3 copies of the multicam clip. V3 multicam (right click and switch to angle 3). V2 multicam (right click and switch to angle 2). V1 multicam (right click and switch to angle 1). Now select Timeline / Select Clips With Color / Select color for cam angle 1. With Cam angle 1 selected move clips down to cut through V3 and v2, and finally delete these angle 1 clips from the timeline. Next, Select Clips With Color / Select color for cam angle 2. Move cam angle 2 down, then delete these angle 2 clips from the timeline. Then you can remove the remaining clips on v4 (these are the remaining atem non multicam clips). Select all clips on Track three and move clips down. The select everything on track 2 and move it down.
Ahhh... Thank you, I think that makes sense. Gonna try to work it out when I get back in front of the system. I may beg for help! But thank you in advance!!
Fortunately for me we just made our first ATEM ISO three days ago and found this extremely helpful / useful! Also the sponsor part was interesting and first time I didn't skip. Might be something we can use.
Genius! Nice work. You will be a hero to millions. But Blackmagic should make this unnecessary. We should be able to take the file out of the ATEM and edit it as a Multicam. Come on Blackmagic!
Haha you’re too kind Fred. But I agree, I’m hopeful that over time BM may tweak the file so that users can work in whatever tab they feel comfortable with, rather than trying to push everyone to the CUT tab only. Although I must admit, I do like the cut tab too :)
I agree, but I also still find it amazing how the ATEM can make a Resolve project with all cuts in the first place. That was pure magic when I first saw it, and still think it is the holy grail between live and post.
Pro tip piggybacking off Alex's great work here: let's say you're running four cameras into an Atem Mini Pro ISO but because you're capped at four, your fifth camera is not part of the ISO files folder to the switcher. You can film with a fifth camera angle, create a bin under ISO for it and then select it as well when you create multicam sequence. Then follow the rest of the steps and when you edit, the extra angle will be available for you to manually cut to or select clips to switch to that angle. This techqnique makes expanding the available shots a breeze!
Also if you have an in-camera recording in 4K you can replace the camera angles in the created multicam file with the respective 4K file from the cameras. If they are BM cameras they have the same length and TC, otherwise you have to sync them manually. You then have a 4K multicam created of a HD iso recording. Just change the timeline settings to 4K/UHD or larger if you work with hi-res cameras.
This was SO helpful. I just got my ATEM ISO and was flabbergasted to find out that it didn't record a multicam clip. It seems so obvious that it should be one. This workaround is a lot of step, but at least it will do the trick. I appreciate you figuring it out and sharing with the rest of us!
I paid RUclips premium to avoid ads, but based in how good is your video, your method and your explanation, I am very grateful about you sharing this, no matter the initial frustration to see an add just before start with the good part... thank you for a great video ! I appreciate your time and effort, you should have so much more subscribers.
I have subscribed to your channel and received a lot of useful information. But this lesson is simply priceless. You have saved many many hours of my life! My gratitude is immeasurable!
The reason it didn't extend the entire Camera 5 clip into the multicam sequence is because the clip had a Mark In. Same thing happened to me in a project but it was fixed by clearing all In and Out points prior to making the multicam clip.
I saw this video the day it came out, and a week later i was implementing it. I am coming back now just to give credit here again that this has severely changed my workflow for the better. The first couple of times i had to resort back to this video to remember how to do it, and now that i have it down by memory, it really helps me edit live shows for reupload. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this video. I work with primary school children and have been struggling with the ATEM's Davinci file for some time. This has made the process much more accessible. Thank you!
Legend!!! I’ll have to try this for sure, likewise it’s been so annoying that it’s not a multicam clip but so glad we have a solution now! Thank you sir!!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for your tutorial, I'm new to Resolve, and despite this I'm now finishing following your very clear instructions, I'm getting to work. The process is a little cumbersome but it seems to work perfectly! Thanks. Keep us updated on any shortcuts, congratulations! I'm following you!
Thank you so so so much for this! I've just followed along using our latest recording and your tutorial, and I can already see this is going to save me huge amounts of time in editing.
Great stuff Alex - I came to this via Photo Joseph's vid where he takes this technique and then swaps out the clips for ANY camera originals - hooray!! I have an old project from when I first bought the ATEM Mini Pro and where I accidentally recorded the h.264 files at too low a level and spend ages manually swapping them out for camera originals - will give that a test run with both of your techniques.
When I did this last week, it was giving me fits at first. Every time I tried, my audio and video would end up out of synce. After multiple attempts to do it just at you demonstrate, Alex, I changes the conform options from Source timecode to Record timecode. Then it worked smoothly for me with no further problems. I went straight to Record timecode on today's project and it worked without a hitch.
Alex, thank you so much! I've been struggling with this too. Just this week wanted to edit another multi-cam project and had spent almost a day trying to figure out the best way to get this done. So your timing is great! Thanks for all your helpful videos.
@AlexPettitt I hav a few questions: 1: I'm not sure if this is related to the fact that my project was not single take but when I do the "Reconform using Bins" it always sets the camera angle to Camera 1. Also it may just be something with my machine but the CTRL+SHIFT+Right doesn't seem to got to the next angle. I have to go thru the menu and repeat the command until I get to the correct angle. 2: In my second Live show studio I have 12 Cameras. So we use 2 ATEM Extreme ISO units Cascaded where the Program from one feeds into Port 8 on the Second unit. This basically creates a 15 input system. This unit also adds a copy of out screen feeds "Videos and clips that play on a screen behind the host" and graphics "Overlays" in as well so that they don't have to be sourced and pulled in latter as clips and then synchronized. This works great cause it is all controlled via Companion so setting the both unit at the exact same time is easy. Question any chance you could come up with a work flow to simplify a setup like this?
Could you elaborate on your setup further? I also have a pair of ISO Extreme SDIs (that may feed a third mini). Tying this all together is what I’m working on now.
WOW Alex! You are truly sent from above for figuring this out! I’ve been looking for an easy way to get this done and it looks like you hit the nail on the head! Much appreciated. Keep the good content coming.
This saved me hours in post! I can't thank you enough! The next level I am trying to reach now is being able to edit the ATEM Mini ISO timeline while I am still recording. I would love to be able to edit the client's podcast as I am recording it... Sometimes we can make mistakes or cut to the wrong camera and if we had access to the timeline right away while we are still recording, that would be a game changer in my workflow, because I would finish the client's podcast and give it to him immediately.
Great tutorial! Been wondering how to do this for so long… For the next ATEM editing video, can you show how to put an alpha Key and Fill together inside DaVinci? I currently have Cam 1 as the fill for my graphics, and Cam 2 as the black and white alpha key, then I combine them using the DSK, but I can’t find any videos showing the best way to combine them in DaVinci… Thank you!
Ahhh yes great suggestion, I actually have this on my list of videos to do as I do this very often! Leave it with me and I’ll try and get this video out within the next month or so :)
Such a good spot!!! I completely forgot I did that in the demo before and actually had no idea that would carry over to creating a multicam clip :) Makes total sense now :)
Wow...quite the workaround and thanks for sharing. It's been a journey trying to figure out work flow and I'm hoping this might be able streamline things a bit for me. I shoot myself solo and was creating separate timelines w/ multicam clips to do my edits until I found I could mark best takes while I was shooting with a cam angle switch on the ATEM to mark it in the edit for later. That brought me back to the created ISO Davinci file but find it's a little cumbersome and for sure not as flexible as the multicam clip. Thanks again Alex!
Awesome video! Been looking for this for years. For the multicam clip that didn’t have all the tracks the full length. Have you checked your in/out points on all cameras before creating the multicam clip? I think that could be what’s going on.
THIS HELPS OUT SO MUCH! I was looking for something like this and wow thanks! Hopefully one day they can either update to just make a multi cam clip or come out with a new product that does this but honestly this process was very easy!
I’ve not spent much time in the cut page before but this seems like a great solution. I’ve got a project I need to work on so can’t wait to give this a go 🎉
The Cut page definitely has its uses and it great for many this, but I think many people are just used to the familiarisation of the edit page. Great to hear you’re going to give this a go, let me know how you find it :) Thanks for the support, Alex
I really hope so too! I get why they would prefer people to use the CUT page for this, but I hope in the future there will be built in methods for both CUT & EDIT pages
15:24 Worth noting that you can also Alt+Click on the angle you want in the multicam view to "Switch multicam clip angle" instead of needing to use the right click menu to swap instead of cut. Thanks so much for this! I'll certainly be giving this a try, and definitely post an update if you find this does or doesn't break the 4k drop in workflow with BMD cameras.
Hey Alex! Thank you very much! This is gold. 🎉 I used to make smart bins to grab all takes from different angels and make multicam clip for each take. Didn't know about shift selecting bins 😊. Then I added that multicam clip to layer V2. Then, you have your live cut on V1 and can go to V2 if you need. Don't find the cut page with sync bin very handy. But your workflow is offcourse even better! Actually, I understand that ATEM ISO is placing clips in the project and is unable to create multicam clip, as it is as I believe EDL XML-wise super difficult. This workflow is great, thank you!
Alex FTW! That is awesome! The most usseful advice I've seen on RUclips in ages! I switched to camera originals before the process, made a multicamclip from my raw files et voilá! Done! took me about 5 minutes to actually go through the whole process will save me hours in editing and painstakingly working my self through concerts! Thanks man!
So glad to hear the video has be useful for you :) Great idea of switching to the camera originals before too! Thanks for the support and all the best!
yup, otherwhise your Multicamclip will contain the h264 files. I haven't tried it yet, but opening the multicampclip in a timeline should enable you to work on the raw settings.@@JoeOberster
This is absolutely brilliant! Thanks so much for this. Been looking for something like this forever. TBH, it does take a bit of setting up (esp for 6 camera DRPs), but eventually I got it working. One tip/caveat: Make sure your camera names/numbers are paired with the correct colors, it's easy to pick the wrong ones and have the wrong cuts appear. Otherwise, thanks again for this!
Hey there! Thanks for this. Will have 12 2-day conventions that we should film. This is the 1st step that helps. Any idea if you can use this to swap to (non BMD Raw) 4K camera originals? We are filming using TC systems. So I create my own Multicam using my camera files and use this instead? Guess the only question is how to sync the Atem TC to our production TC?
Thanks for figuring this out and sharing the information. I'll for sure be doing this until the ATEM and Resolve hopefully figure out that we want a multicam timeline. So strange that it doesn't make that.
Thanks for showing this process. I agree it will still be a bit of pain to get it into that format but that is exactly how I need to work productively. If anyone knows how to automate that process that would be GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this great tip! Question please: I always replace the timeline audio with the ISO audio track from Mic 1, as it has my external audio mixer output feed. I notice each camera audio track recorded by Atem has the respective audio is coming from each camera’s hdmi feed, which by the way saved once I got a wireless mic drop signal. but as far I understood you are saying with only Mic 1 enabled in the Atem mixer, this will be the audio recorded in the Cam1 audio track on the timeline? Got a bit confused now… thanks!!!
So glad it was helpful! Also love it when things like that happen… like what are the chances you’d be searching for a solution the same day I release one :)
Amazing! also this has got me thinking. with the 1080p limit for streaming / recording from the Atem (i have an sdi extreme iso) i wonder if this process could be tweaked / implemented in the use case for after doing a live stream/ multicam shoot . using the saved files on the individual cameras which are recording at 4k. to relatively quickly produce a multicam clip with all the cuts from your Liive switched file in 1080p. what are you thoughts on that?
Hey @AlexPettitt appreciate your work on Black Magic products. I had a question about Atem Mini Extreme ISO (HDMI as well as SDI). So we have 2 HDMI Aux outputs and we an send Multiview through that. My question is can we have Cam 1 to 4 via Multiview 1 via HDMI 1 and Cam 5 to 8 via Multiview 2 via HDMI 2. Assuming I have connected 8 cams to my Atem Mini Extreme. And similarly for the SDI version can I do 4 different multiviews with a combination of different cameras, etc. Waiting for your reply...
I followed your process and it worked, but now I can't seem to switch to Camera Original BRAW footage from my ISO footage. Have you run into this issue at all?
Great stuff.... I also think that it is a bit mad that this isn't the default for these ATEM project files. This brings up an interesting point. Do you think there is a variation on this workflow that could be used to replace the ISO files with OG camera files? I want use the ATEM ISO to cut the show, live, but I don't want to use the 4k INTERNAL files I've recorded in camera. I'm aware that Timecode is a big factor here. I'm wondering that if you were to frame match the NEW multicam timeline you made to match the ISO recordings... and then select another method besides timecode when in the RECONFORM FROM BIN stage of the process. Does this sound doable?
So great! And was talking with @photojoseph about using the multicam angle to get an overall color correction to match cameras. This is what I've been looking for as I've been jumping over to FCP and this will save - I believe - both time and disk space. Looking forward to doing some tests of an event I'll be doing on Sunday. Thank you! -Bill
Came here to say the same. It's just a matter of recording a macro, and see if it works. Although a recorded macro for 5 camrra angles would only work for 5 cameras multicam projects. To make it dynamic, would require some coding.
I would say scripts for 4, 6 and 8 channels would cover most needs easy enough to delete the odd one. I've been trying fiver for someone to script but no luck yet
Alex that was just the 'holy grail' discovered. Thanks for this tutorial. You do not want to know how much time I have spent cracking my brain for such a workaround. Now my two questions...1. Does this still give the room to replace the ISO clips with the in-camera BRAW recordings (kindly give a few tips if possible)? 2. And if 1. is yes, then in a situation where other camera brands are mixed with BM Cameras for production, it is clear such cam will not have BRAW recordings but the Blackmagic cams will have, what then would be your take to get such cams in-cam high res or RAW recordings into the multicam timeline.
Good questions and I’m considering doing a part two answering both of these… it just needs more testing first. Also keep an eye on @photojoseph’s channel as he mentioned he might run some similar tests too :) Hope this helps
You can easily replace the camera angles in the multicam with hi-res in-camera recordings! If they are from BM cameras they have the same length and TC, otherwise you have to sync them. Just make sure to set your multicam and timeline resolution to the hi-res camera resolution. BRAW files shouldn’t be an issue but I’m not sure about mixing them with non-BRAW files from other brand cameras.
Excellent video, question can this be done with an audio recorded from another source for example RodeCaster Pro 2? Or how can i sync the audio for cuts in the multicam folder/? Thank you.
Alex im looking for edges a way to mark on the timeline during the record , so i can go back to those points after, on the post level do you have any idia?
This is incredible thank you. Would it be possible to then move this multicam clip from Davinci into Final Cut? And still have it as a multicam clip in final cut.
Do you even start and stop you ATEM's recording during a single project? I just did this on am Atem PRO iso project, where I had started and stopped recording seven times. I first deleted the black space between sets of clips, and then ran this procedure. Weirdly enough, it work perfectly up to removing the conform lock, but when I reconformed, it only switched out the single angles for multicam on the first six blocks of clips, leaving the last block of recordings with the single angle clips and the reconform still deselected. I retried it, and now only the last set of clips are available in those colors, and when I get to reconform, the error msg - "the source media in the selected bins are not able to conform the timeline" is given. The file names are original and unaltered. Wonder if this is a bug?
Question Alex, have atem pro iso and 4 BMPCC4k using HDMI cables to comnext cameras to Atem, I get the iso files from all cameras and project file with cute but I have “record in all cameras” on the software but when I check my cameras ssd there is no file. It is not recording from camera to camera ssd, I also have no control in color on software
Hi, this is definately a useful thing, however when i follow your steps when i go up a level to time line, nothing is colour coded, and no clips are multi cam enabled. the MC Bin clip shows a multiview, but then back to a non MC timeline, do you have a suggestion?
Couple of questions. Is there any to setup a template files for the .drp to start from? What is the best way create the Multicam file and have all my template settings and media in the project?
Good question (and I’m actually working on a video showing my full workflow). The answer is somewhat “it depends”. This video was shot and exported all 4K, I feed anything into an ATEM Mini to record 1080p, but also recording in 4K on device. Some videos however (if I need to get them out quick) I will just recording on the ATEM and not bother with the 4K, and then just export 4K in DaVinci. Main reason for this is because I always feel an upsampled 4K video on RUclips looks better than if I upload it at native 1080p. Hope this answers your questions :)
Great stuff, is it possible to save the file out once all conversion are done and package it back like the original atem iso file. Basically want to hand the client a 4k in the format from the ATEM
Hi Alex! Thanks for the tip. I tried it and the Multicam on Edit works great but on Cut Sync bin doesn't work. ONe has to choose betwwen using it on Edit or on Cut. Thanks again!
Yes this is correct, this method will allow you to edit in edit page using the multicam viewer. If you want to edit in cut page using the sync bin, just open the regular ATEM DaVinci file and you and start work in cut page straight away :)
Hello! I get an error when I try to reconfirm from bins: Unable to Reconform Timeline(The source media clips in the selected bins are not able to conform the timeline). I tried several times to start again the process, but each time I get the same error. Before I updated resolve, it worked just fine, now I see even the colours are not displayed as a dot anymore, strange.
I have done this with Blackmagic URSA cameras with 4K footage. The only way I can think you’d be able to do it with non BM cameras would be if you’re able to extract the Timecode from ATEM Mini and send it to all cameras. But ill have a little play around and see what else I can find

The fact that a process like this needs to be hacked is bad. This is a common function (and super easy) in Premiere that absolutely needs to be simplified for Resolve to be a viable alternative for me.

Ahhh yes great suggestion, I actually have this on my list of videos to do as I do this very often! Leave it with me and I’ll try and get this video out within the next month or so :)
5:52 it’s not a bug; that’s because you’d added I/O points to that clip previously.
Completely agree! Let me know if you try this out and how you find it :) Hope it helps if you do!
Awesome video! Been looking for this for years.
For the multicam clip that didn’t have all the tracks the full length. Have you checked your in/out points on all cameras before creating the multicam clip? I think that could be what’s going on.
Yep you are spot on, it was the in and out points in the clip that was causing it :) Thanks for pointing out :)
THIS HELPS OUT SO MUCH! I was looking for something like this and wow thanks! Hopefully one day they can either update to just make a multi cam clip or come out with a new product that does this but honestly this process was very easy!
Thanks! Great video. This is going to make multi-cam editing much faster.
Thanks so much for the Super Thanks, and glad to hear that you’re going to give this a go. Let me know how you find it when you try it!
Great information and very needed. Let's hope Blackmagic is watching and makes this an enhancement to Resolve. Thank you!
Oh that’s cool! I didn’t know about that shortcut. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Alex. You've helped me a lot these last few months in understanding some of these concepts.
So glad to hear it Jason!
Hey Alex!
Thank you very much! This is gold. 🎉
I used to make smart bins to grab all takes from different angels and make multicam clip for each take.
Love your idea of V1 and V2 layers! That’s a really nice work around for if you need to make changes to the main mix 👍
So do you have to switch to Camera Originals if you want the ability to use BRAW in this process?
yup, otherwhise your Multicamclip will contain the h264 files.
Yes, I'd recommend taking a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/CZpcvqOPAKo/видео.html
Thanks for figuring this out and sharing the information. I'll for sure be doing this until the ATEM and Resolve hopefully figure out that we want a multicam timeline. So strange that it doesn't make that.
This was extreamly helpful! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for showing this process. I agree it will still be a bit of pain to get it into that format but that is exactly how I need to work productively. If anyone knows how to automate that process that would be GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did look into using DaVinci scripting to automate… but that’s a bit above my programming ability me right now. But absolutely possible!
Thank you for this amazing workflow. It seems to ease out the workflow in post.
It really does! :)
I actually designed an app that does this but I think your is much easier. Nice work alex petit
Cool, is the app publicly available? It would definitely be cool to see :)
I did not really made it public
Nonetheless I feel I am switching to your method as it is much more simpler
Thank you for this great tip! Question please: I always replace the timeline audio with the ISO audio track from Mic 1, as it has my external audio mixer output feed. I notice each camera audio track recorded by Atem has the respective audio is coming from each camera’s hdmi feed, which by the way saved once I got a wireless mic drop signal. but as far I understood you are saying with only Mic 1 enabled in the Atem mixer, this will be the audio recorded in the Cam1 audio track on the timeline? Got a bit confused now… thanks!!!
This is fantastic. Thank you for figuring this out and sharing it with us all. I just started looking for this today and whalaa, you made it! Cheers!
Thanks for this. That is a real help!
Thank you !
I have been looking for a way too for a long time.
Keep the good work !
Glad I could help!
I followed your process and it worked, but now I can't seem to switch to Camera Original BRAW footage from my ISO footage. Have you run into this issue at all?
Did you figure this out?
Someone, tag the Davinci Developers, here is Genius
Thank you! -Bill
Thanks for the tutorial this is great. I would have thought Davinci would have got a script done for this though.
it is really a great workflow. Thank you
OMG, how did you figure this out? I wish I knew this before. Thank you very much from Argentina.
Could a macro be written to do this? Even if it was for4 , 6 or all 8 channels initially
DaVinci supports advanced scripting, so I believe someone could automate this yes :)
Fantastic!!. Is there a way to create a macro if it’s something we would do on a consistent basis?
DaVinci has scripting… so yes automating the process should be possible
Thank you.
1 000 000 thanks for that tutorial!
Thanks Alex, great to know.
My pleasure 👍
Great solution. I've just been creating a new Multicam and ignoring the live edit. Will this still conform with the Pocket 4k raw camera originals?
Thanks, and I haven’t personally tried swapping out the Camera Originals after… but I’ll give that a go later this week and see :)
you cracked the code!! Game Changer!!
This is great man
Super solution
It will be nice to know if stream deck can help with some of this process by adding shortcut to some of those. Thanks for the video.
That’s what I’m going to look into next, ways of using scripting & stream deck to help automate some of this :)
Hi, this is definately a useful thing, however when i follow your steps when i go up a level to time line, nothing is colour coded, and no clips are multi cam enabled. the MC Bin clip shows a multiview, but then back to a non MC timeline, do you have a suggestion?
This is soooo helpful
This. Is. Awesome. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Couple of questions.
Is there any to setup a template files for the .drp to start from?
What is the best way create the Multicam file and have all my template settings and media in the project?
Thanks for video! Q: Do you use Atem Mini to record your videos? If so are you up sampling the 1080p video to 4k in Resolve?
Good question (and I’m actually working on a video showing my full workflow).
The answer is somewhat “it depends”. This video was shot and exported all 4K, I feed anything into an ATEM Mini to record 1080p, but also recording in 4K on device.
Some videos however (if I need to get them out quick) I will just recording on the ATEM and not bother with the 4K, and then just export 4K in DaVinci. Main reason for this is because I always feel an upsampled 4K video on RUclips looks better than if I upload it at native 1080p. Hope this answers your questions :)
Awesome thanks for quick reply and looking forward to the video!
I wonder if a script could be made to automate some of this process…
Great stuff, is it possible to save the file out once all conversion are done and package it back like the original atem iso file. Basically want to hand the client a 4k in the format from the ATEM
I haven’t tried this personally so not 100% sure, but you could look to do the process in reverse maybe
Im trying this process but when conforming, not all the clips are done. only half. Any suggestions
Good video. I will be using this.
Glad to hear it. Let me know how you find it!
this is Awesome, thank you for sharing.you the besttttttttt.
Hi Alex! Thanks for the tip. I tried it and the Multicam on Edit works great but on Cut Sync bin doesn't work. ONe has to choose betwwen using it on Edit or on Cut. Thanks again!
I confirm with Speed Editor the Sync Bin in Cut it doesn't work.
Yes this is correct, this method will allow you to edit in edit page using the multicam viewer. If you want to edit in cut page using the sync bin, just open the regular ATEM DaVinci file and you and start work in cut page straight away :)
Does the Multicam work on the cut page? I've grown to prefer editing on the cut page. Does it also work with the speed editor?
DUDE. hell ya. thank you
Thanks Alex
Muchas gracias bro
Only for mini pro iso? Not the pro? Right
Isane! Thank you!
תודה!
תודה על התמיכה שלך!
Can I replace the 1080 Atem's files with the in camera 4k using this flow? I'm not using Blackmagic cameras. Thanks
I have done this with Blackmagic URSA cameras with 4K footage. The only way I can think you’d be able to do it with non BM cameras would be if you’re able to extract the Timecode from ATEM Mini and send it to all cameras.
But ill have a little play around and see what else I can find

@photojoseph just posted a video about replacing the ATEM files with any camera's file. He linked to this video as the first part of the processes.
Thanks!
Thanks Alex thats helpful, appreciate it (Niall)
Thank Niall, glad you found it useful
It would be amazing if someone made this into an automated script
I was thinking the exact same thing and I hope that someone watches this and then gets the spur to do just that!
This is amazing!
Thanks, glad it was useful!
@@AlexPettitt your videos have definitely helped me the most! My favorite channel for sure!
This isnt working for me? Unable to Reconfrom Timeline is what pops up. It used to work for me now it doesnt? Any help?
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!
The fact that a process like this needs to be hacked is bad. This is a common function (and super easy) in Premiere that absolutely needs to be simplified for Resolve to be a viable alternative for me.
16:41 I am definitely trying it
