Such a great bit of kit Pete. Looks really user friendly and also a lot less faf than my big drone that I have. Pretty handy thing to have in your bag and pop up when inspiration strikes. 😎🤘

Hi Ben. Hope you are and the family are well. I am quite impressed with the HoverAir X1. I knew that I would never be able to fly a proper drone, my attempts at video games with the grandchildren proved that. Loved that this doesn't need a controller and stores video directly in internal memory. Quality isn't up to your big drone, but so easy to use and easy to carry.

We loved this video of the drone. You seemed to have mastered it well. Hope you weren't bitten too much. Love to you. Xxx

Hi Janice. It was good to get a chance to test out the functions of the drone. It is a nice bit of kit and super easy to use. Damn mosquitoes are everywhere these days and always seem to have a taste for me. Hope you are both well. X

Lovely video Peter and really impressive piece of kit, it opens up so many new opportunities for some beautiful angles.
I ran through Shire Tey a few weeks ago back to Marks Tey and it was a very pleasant surprise to see the path past the bluebell woods had been cut back, It would be great if it was the same story for the footpath opposite the Feering Falcons

Hi Dan. Hope you and the family are well. I am still impressed with the HoverAir, just like a kid with a new toy! I saw that the footpath had been cut back in the enclosed section of the bridleway before Shire Tey. That footpath to Elm Lane is not easy to walk on, let alone run. I usually avoid it and go along the farm track to come out by the barn. Sometimes I give the farmer a cheery wave, he doesn't seem to mind but it isn't a footpath and if he told me off I would apologise.

Thank you. I am just getting used to using the HoverAir. It is not a real drone, more of a flying selfie camera, but it will do most of what I need and it is so convenient. I always love getting out into the countryside. Best wishes and thanks again for the comment.

Excellent drone demo. I know nothing about them so it was good tp see what they can do.
Is the trick to look at it very sternly and hold your hand out when you want it to cone back? 😅

Thanks Mark. It wasn't meant to be a very detailed look, there are many reviews out there. I am impressed with the thing. The picture quality is not as good as the GoPro camera. I will probably adjust all of my drone videos in future. It took a few attempts before I realised that it respected a stern look, although there is not much difference between my stern look and my worried look when I think of £400 quid's worth of drone flying off somewhere.

Loved all your new shots Peter. How was it all with the initial set up and the ease of getting it all going? I’m guessing it was your phone that it was connected to or did it have a controller? Whenever I see a video with lots of cool drone shots it always makes me wish I had one 😁

Hi Rachel. The reason I bought this drone is just that it doesn't need a controller, it stores video in its own internal memory (phone not needed in flight) and all of its flight modes are programmed in (and adjustable to some extent). It flies itself. I think that you can fly it using your phone, but my experience with grandchildren's video games tells me that I won't be able to do that! It is very light at about 125g and foldable. Video quality is OK at 2.7k at 30 fps but obviously not as good as as "proper drone". I had a birthday and Father's Day and Amazon had a special offer on it so I bought one. Initial set up was very easy. You do need a phone to download updates (which is very worth doing as there have been some great firmware updates). It has limitations (eg it wont fly above about 50ft high) but for me the ease of use and storage outweigh them. Some great reviews on RUclips.

@@essextrails - thanks for all the info Peter. Sounds a lot easier than I thought. I see lots of people using their drones with a hand controller so this sounds much more simple. Hope you enjoy using yours and get some great shots 😊

Certainly get some good shots with the Air X1, could not easily get one of my DJI drones into such a small space

I bought it because even an idiot is supposed to be able to use it. That makes me qualified!

Thanks. Checked out your channel and subbed.I think yours are real drones. Sure I couldn't fly one so went for the simple option.
