As strange as it may seem, peanuts are a VERY good analogy for this story. Taxonomically speaking, peanuts aren’t nuts, having more in common with beans than tree nuts. Despite their status as nuts being a lie and misconception, we still love them as nuts.

I love how the opening basically sums up the whole point of the anime: the family started as a cover up, but slowly became a real one where they all care for each other.

Y’know, reading the lyrics on the screen every week and hearing them ACTUALLY SUNG are two very different experiences. Basically, the lyrics hit me like a freight train here and in the best possible way.
Man, what a great cover, the switch between "This is no home" to "But it's my home" during the second half hits me in the feels like a freight train.
As someone who attempted to translate this song, the unique tempo and melody alongside the meaning makes it very hard to construct a cover that’s sounds decent. Will’s absolutely incredible for pulling this off
Honestly this song is the only one I feel the lyrics suit. There are some amazing singers doing English covers of this but the lyrics... Something about theirs feels off, somehow Will managed to not have that issue

To be honest, I feel like this was a mixture of all 3, but it seems to be closer to Anya since the lyrics are talking about being full for once and how they want to earn their love and praise.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I had to comment.
I always felt this song had an uplifting quality to it, but a lot of translations for the last line didn't represent that. After seeing so many translations end the chorus with 'I have a stomach ache' or 'my stomach feels heavy' I began to think the end message was about discomfort from telling lies. Hearing 'my stomach's full and satisfied' almost made me cry as the whole song finally fit my interpretation. Thank you for such a lovely piece of media!

I really love that they did first season or part 1A from Anya’s perspective and it’s got the cool cartoon and references to how she sees the world and the things she likes. Then season two or 1B is Loid’s perspective and it’s so personal to him. It’s such and amazing detail. I love the intro’s sooooo much
