That had to have been one of the most magical moments in your entire career, slaying this terrifying giant from your past in such a devastating and decisive way in front of a sold out arena that included combat legends, rock stars and a former US president in attendance. Definitely will be remembered as an iconic moment in MMA history.
Watching Izzy's mental state after the loss and in camp, through fight week and finally resulting in the knockout win was incredible. Literally like a movie. Just inspirational to see the mental toughness and resilience in Izzy and the support around him to come out of the fire and put on an incredible performance. Gives me so much motivation to persevere in my own life, getting your mental right is so overlooked but so important in being successful. There's no way Izzy gets it done without having an unshakeable belief in himself, and the confidence and resilience to overcome his greatest challenge. That's what so impressive about this win to me, more than just the brutal knockout itself. Hats off to you Izzy, you are an inspiration and i can't wait to see you continue to inspire and dominate for years to come.
But it is 3-1? Pereira won three times Izzy won once. At best Izzy may have won the first Kickboxing bout on points which would still only make it 2-2. There needs to be a decider. As a fan, no other fight would interest me in the division.
Well said. It is inspirational af. After loss he didn't even take time or a dif matchup, he ran right back towards Pereira. And he kept welcoming the pressure and putting even more on himself. The way Izzy bounced his right arm off the cage for momentum on the 2nd punch is crazy. To have that level of positional awareness in a flash moment is fucking insanity. So glad Izzy won. What an arc.

izzy and pereira's rivalry is genuine, it seems like a script from a movie, it's not a rivalry for a fight on the internet, it's something bigger, that brutal knockout of Izzy and that strong psychological, hugs from Brazil.
Pereira said in their first UFC fight he never saw them as a rivalry that Izzy was just an opponent. He said the rivalry was from Izzy's side but he didn't see it that way.
It is out of a movie actually. "Wakanda Forever" the story goes like this : In comes this powerful indigenous warrior (Poatan) and bullies every one in wakanda but in the end loses to the female black panther (Izzy)😂 Even kamaru Usman makes a Cameo in that movie . Being that both Marvel and UFC are both owned by Disney I wouldn't doubt all these UFC drama fights are scripted same as the movies, it's all part of the show. UFC is turning more and more like WWE. Such a new level of respect for Izzy after this performance, not only for his performance but the mental aspect of it, imagine getting KO’d twice last minute after kicking his ass the whole time and STILL standing in the pocket to trade, sheesh it’s fights like this that remind me what the human spirit is made out of if channeled properly
I’m no world was izzy kicking his ass in the first fight he was getting into 50/50 exchanges and was playing roulette along the cage wayyyy to much , you can tell what he thought of his last performance by how differently he fought this one , he knew he wasn’t going to win unless he came forward and started giving Alex more to think about instead of just looking to counter and I know he got the finish off a counter but in reality that was just timing and exploiting and opening he knew he was going to be able to draw out of him if he started reacting a certain way and baiting him into this he was more hurt then he actually was ..and it’s crazy cuz izzy ate a knee to the orbital bone along the cage right before he got the finish , people do not realize a lot of what izzy does works for him because he is stupid durable , a lot of slick strikers don’t like to give to much credit to the fact that they do get caught but they can take a shot well when they get caught and he can take a shot he’s got a very good chin
@@vinceventura4453 i personally didnt thinkt that he was that much rocked before he knocked him out....if u see the replay in slomo u can see that izzy was throwing 5 punches and all landed...i dont think thats realy possible that u land that accurate if u are rocked....but thats just my opinion
I think he wanted Alex to think that he was gonna stand in the pocket early on to give him that confidence. Then when the real moment came to spring the trap, he took the bait like a fat kid snatchin a donut.

The key is in Izzy’s footwork and IQ. Watch his feet for the finishing sequence, it’s a thing of beauty. As Alex is crashing in Izzy keeps his weight on his back foot until the moment Alex is inside kicking range. Then while Alex is unloading on him, watch his feet. Never out of perfect striking position he just opens his hips to appear like he is covering up and hurt. Absolute genius in the cage.

I STILL watch this video weekly as a reminder. Izzy is the definition of manifesting your own fate according to your willpower. Ppl hate on him so much but miss the fact that he preaches tapping into our inner power. We can literally do anything we set our minds to. It just takes focus and will. I overstand what Izzy speaks and I love him for it. ❤
That had to have been one of the most magical moments in your entire career, slaying this terrifying giant from your past in such a devastating and decisive way in front of a sold out arena that included combat legends, rock stars and a former US president in attendance. Definitely will be remembered as an iconic moment in MMA history.

Well said. You just painted a picture and why the win means so much
Highlight this comment please. Couldn’t have been said better.
What do Trump and Pereira have in common? They both lost.
3x1 lol
Well said. It is inspirational af. After loss he didn't even take time or a dif matchup, he ran right back towards Pereira. And he kept welcoming the pressure and putting even more on himself. That kind of confidence and self-belief is inspirational and super admirable. Pressure makes 💎 Izzy is special 🔥 Super happy for him
