Well I have to say I have a lot of respect for Kristen for bringing the old songs across so confidently. Her voice has a totally different timbre and there is no point in comparing the two singers. Both are great in their own way and I think it's a great achievement to get involved in a band and try to inspire the old fans anyway.

I'm new to the band and I'm afraid I never got a chance to see them when Lacy was there, but I must say, I became a fan of this band because of this new singer. But I understand how the change must have been for the people that were there from the beginning.
Kristen is great with a new sound, but it just doesn't feel right without Lacey. But it still feels like Flyleaf with Pat, Sameer, James, and Jared still there. I miss the raw emotion that Lacey had, the love in the songs. Flyleaf sounds a little more pop than it did, but Flyleaf will always be my favorite band still.

She's just got a different instrument than Lacey. I think her voice has a naturally lower pitch, which will necessarily make songs like this harder to pull off. Nothing wrong with her singing though, by any means.

Flyleaf isn't the same without Lacey. Though Kristen's screams are good. She's good, but the band was better with Lacey. 6/10 now.

Well I just listened to laceys 2016 live version of this song and her screams aren't that good anymore too.
Super random 4 years later but, you should check out her live acoustic performance of this song from 2019. Her screams are absolutely amazing in that video!
Kirsten's cleans are great. But there's a certain sweetness to Lacey's voice that makes it so addictive.
