Just got my letter last week and I’m sitting at the dealership while they conduct the inspection. Fingers crossed here, hoping for no issues. I have a 2021 F-150, only 6500 miles as of now.
The dealer here in Knoxville don’t have the parts to fix the safety recall and wanted to put me in along term loaner while I make payments and they want to keep your truck on the lot waiting for the parts
Is there any recalls on the 2020 f150. I have a grinding noise when turning at slow speeds. It sounds like its coming from back of the truck by the wheel.
Drive shaft problems a few years ago when I was looking at the Ford Transit cargo vans and now drive shaft problems with the F-150... Ford Quality... 'Nuff said!!!...
I found insulators were hanging down on my F150 and tacked them up temporarily. I took it into the dealer 2 weeks ago. I was the 1st at a large local dealer to have the problem that was touching/rubbing on the driveshaft and causing damage.. They don't have the parts for the repair. They don't have an estimate when they'll get the parts. They won't let me have my truck back. They won't provide a fair amount to cover a rental compared to what is being charged right now. So now I am waiting. I contacted Ford customer service too but it has not helped.
I have a 2021 Powerboost FX4 XL with a 101A package NOT the 302A listed, but after the first 430 Miles I have a CEL coding - " 2021 Ford F-150 MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP REGULATORY What is Happening? The emission control system has detected a very small leak in the evaporative control system which can allow fuel vapors to escape into the atmosphere. " I took it into the dealer and they replaced the "Fuel neck filler" and it 4 hours later same thing they have had my truck for 3 weeks since I got it a month ago, they can't seem to fix it. It seems to me my vapor line could be affected and causing this code. Very frustrating to say the least , it would be good to find out this is the case with my truck, but I can't even look at it as it is locked up at the dealership. Will be calling first thing Monday morning.
Yeah. Today it's another massive Ford recall for defective brake lights. It's beyond disgusting at the poor quality (GM included) junk that these car manufacturers are foisting on the people for astronomical prices. Crooks.
I can tell you, you don't hear it at all my f150 is sitting at ford waiting on a new drive shaft never heard a thing its a 21 f150 supercrew with 302a pack
It’s crazy that Ford made the first car on an assembly line. And still has such extreme magnitude quality problems in 2022. Why can’t they get it right? What’re the engineers smoking? What engineering development processes are being followed? Why wasn’t this caught in Design Validation testing? Why aren’t there quality controls on place? Why wasn’t this caught in the DFMEA/ PFMEA!?
This happened to my 2020 super duty f 350 in the summer
I had a bad feeling this would cross over.
Thank you so much for keeping us Ford truck owners up to date with these recalls.
You bet!

Labeling on picture of affected area seemed reversed. Purple driver side label appeared to be passenger side?
Picture was bottom up view. I thought it was wrong too for a little bit

Quality is job 1.
F250 has issues also.
How ford missed this ?
How can the number one truck maker miss this? On purpose?
Very bad year to buy a car 😢
