@@Only-me-baby-tf9km if you just leave it in the sugar for a bit, it starts to draw water from the strawberries turning it into a strawberry syrup on the outside. It is an amazing desert.
I wish I could have given them some sugar to dip them in. I love strawberries, but they are very tart by themselves unless you get lucky and get them in season.
Big difference in store bought or homegrown. Store bought have to be picked earlier then homegrown not quite ripe yet, so not as sweet. Just sprinkle sugar on top 🇺🇸💙
If sour, just sprinkle a little bit of sugar on them. Then let them set for a few minutes. The juice will start to flow and they will be great. The only real way to get a sweet fruit is if they are allowed to ripen on the plant and you pick them. Commercial strawberries, picked too early.
I tend to get strawberries and place then in a cup. Then add sugar and let it sit. In minutes its starts to get syrupy and delish. If im feeling up to it slice them up then layer them. Strawberries sugar repeat.
Where I live in Canada, we grow fields of strawberries in the summer. When it's the hottest, they open the fields to payers who can pick themselves and that is when the fruit is sooo hot and sweet right off the plant. All of us that have houses grow them in our back yards and eat them when sweet if the birds don't get them first!!! They shouldn't be sour like that.
Ive never had a strawberry that was real sour although we usually cut them and add sugar stir it well and let it sit and dissolve the sugar to a syrup to put on ice cream ,or eat with cereal and milk, or,whipped cream
The producer of this channel need to learn that you serve ripe fruits to people.Of course it's gonna have a sour taste to it if it's not ripe same with mangoes, and kiwi.
Should’ve given them Scandinavian strawberries. Because of the climate they take a lot longer to ripen which means they’re absorbing sugar for longer. You haven’t had strawberries if you haven’t had them grow in the northern latitudes
If they taste sour they aren't fully ripened
Yes I thought the same thing. Its a shame they didn't get the best opportunity to try the fruit.
It’s a shame that strawberries are not as good as they used to be. They used to be so sweet when picked ripe.
when they are sour, cut in thin slices, and sprinkle with sugar, put in the fridge...for a while... it will become juicy and sweet.
Yes it's a shame but having a bowl of sugar to dip them in helps plenty. That or cut them up and spoon sugar over them and toss em. Yum yum

Strawberries are my favorite fruit. ❤
Strawberries need cold weather to develop the natural sugars.
The strawberries needed to sit refrigerated for a couple of days to fully ripen.

Mash them and add a spoon of sugar and let it sit until the juices and sugar mingle. Stir and put over a plain piece of cake. Its really good that way

Strawberries usually smell better than they taste.
They discovered that they smell nicer than they taste lol.
They taste sweet ane delicious picked from the garden. I'm from a northern state in America and we are blessed to have them grown right here
I like strawberries but the spiders put me off 🤣
Have they tried Tomato Juice yet?.
Next time maybe serve it with campaign. 😄
They aren't ripe! Plus... give them whole berries to see what they are.
They need a bit of sugar to enhance the sweetness.
Strawberries should NEVER be sour.
Maybe you can sing Strawberry Fields Forever lol!

It’s kinda sad they’re not produced everywhere
Mangos are the King of Fruits ?? LOL 😂🤣😂🤣 Actually it's Bananas !!!
They've given them unriped strawberries.
Cost of stuff is ridiculous everywhere!
They must be awfully sour ones. The ones we have are more sweet than sour. They are delicious dipped in sugar.
Sour strawberries ?, must’ve been crappy ones picked way too early.
Sour strawberries :D
Dip those berries in sugar first.
