In the our first episode ( • How to buy a house in ... ) we have shown you different houses and in the second episode ( • How to buy a house in ... ) we told you which one we wanted to buy and why. The third episode ( • How to buy a house in ... ) was about how to get a mortgage in Switzerland and how to preceed with a notary.
In our case, the notary did not work - God seemed to have a different plan for us. We started looking for a Plan B - found a new house, looked at it and fell in love with it. It was a much better solution than the house we firstly wanted to buy: bigger, centrally located but in the middle of pure nature - and the same price. So we cancelled the first house and fixed everything with the second house. And in today's video we will show you around our new house.
So if you plan to buy a house in Switzerland (or everywhere else), be open and flexible and always look for a plan B - maybe also for you this might turn out to be the better option :-).

Maybe i missed it in the video, but if you don't mind me asking - what did the house cost? We're also looking to buy a small house in Ticino, but they're all extremely expensive and hard to find also.
There is a small range of houses for under 400.000 CHF. We found it online. It is possible but be prepared for renovation.

Hello, still you didn't mention the price you paid for the house. Is it secret?
The exact price we do not want to share to protect the previous owner. But houses like this on the market range in between 180.000 - 400.000 CHF at the moment.
