  • End of january this year we decided to potentially buy a house in Ticino, Switzerland. After looking at 5 houses we had easily found what we were looking for. But things did not continue that easy. First the notary did not start working, then the house owner seems not wanting to sell it, then there were troubles with the real estate agency. So we looked for an alternative house and found an even better one! Things started speeding up and finally we can call an old stone house of 1900 in Valcolla, a wild valley north of Lugano, our new home.
In this video we show you how we moved in - that means our very first day in the house.
If you want to know what renovations we will be doing, why we bought this house, what it means for us to have this house and what we will do with it, then subscribe to our channel: / @holamundoch

It would be interesting if you did a video on the security/safety of living in Ticino. I’m looking forward to your next video. Thank you for the work you put into creating the videos and the honest information you offer.

A video about security and safety in Ticino would be terribly boring - because basically you will not encounter any problems and challenges. It is like in the rest of Switzerland. In rural areas it is even common to not lock your door (which you should in the cities though). So far, also Ticino fulfills the common pictures of Switzerland of being super safe.

Many stairs and very long stairs and the house is old and no good view to the outside. I like straight forward houses
