They should have kept Andie McDowell's original more southern American accent. However I can understand why director gave a American accent that most of the world is used to. That said Andie McDowell was tremendous in this movie. She is one of the main reasons this movie was memorable to me.This was a good movie to come out about Tarzan probably one of the best versions.

Ironically, in the original book, Jane is American, but beginning with the movie Tarzan, the Ape Man in 1932, Jane was British and she has stayed that way ever since.

I have the vinyl version, and the cue is titled (Gardens Of Greystoke) Chanson de Matin; it is the 3rd track on side 2. I hope this helps. I'm not sure if the score was ever released on CD. It's so weird how they dubbed over Andie MacDowell's voice. Of course, It actually makes her sound like a good actress for once. Usually she sounds like a drugged up starfish.

Why change the scenario of how Tarzan & Jane meet?
In this clip they said Jane was from America. So why did they need to dub over her American accent?
Jane was supposed to be from Baltimore. Actress Andie MacDowell had a strong South Carolina accent so actress Glenn Close's voice was dubbed over.
