If I remember correctly, Texas tech beat Texas, Texas beat Oklahoma, and Oklahoma beat Texas tech. All of which finished 13-1. It was a memorable season to say the least.

This specific period in college football history was innovative, transformative, and down right wild with the proliferation of the spread, zone read, and air raid. Seemingly overnight middling programs became quasi national championship contenders….eventually the power programs would fully integrate these insights but for a few years there it wasn’t uncommon to see Texas Tech or Kansas or West Virginia among others playing like contenders.
This is the first football game I remember watching. I was 10 or 11 at the time, mom is a Tech alum. I will never forget screaming and jumping up and down in the living room after Crabtree made that play
This one hurt!!! Watched it live with my fam. Was squatting in front of the tv on that play. I fell over, forward and hit my head on the floor, when Crabtree scored. I was in such shock, I didn't notice I was bleeding. I begrudgingly gave this vid a like because personal pain aside, they do a great job on this channel ... We Were So Close!!!

Once I had the information, I decided to cheer for Tech and was screaming after they had won. 4 years later, I committed to Tech. Fell in love with Lubbock despite people always saying there’s nothing to do there. Part of me wonders if I hadn’t watched that game, would I have even considered Tech as a possible university choice? Despite that lingering question, I never regret my decision. GUNS UP 👆🏽

I VIVIDLY remember this moment, and the fact that Texas losing this game is what made them put it all on the line against Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship which they BARELY won thanks to a dominant Suh for Nebraska running wild on the Longhorns and McCoy.

This is one of those "I remember where I was when I saw it" moments for me. I was in a hotel in rainbow city Alabama after leaving the Alabama game. (We beat Arkansas state like 30 something to nothing that day roll tide) but I'll always remember the excitement college football brought me on this day.

The entire section started to title-wave onto the field and I wasn't on that field by choice -- it was jump or get trampled, so everyone just went. Craziest game I've ever seen live. If not for having to play the Sooners in Stillwater , and those sooners having an axe to grind with TTU for ruining their own Title hopes in 2007 -- TTU would have been in the BCS Championship game that year.
