    The pressure of the UK BB line not only comes from the fire damage but from the pressure on your DCP. Especially now that subs are a thing, you can be forced to let fires burn longer than you want, which depletes your healing potential in the long run.

    HE damage and fires, although not as satisfying as citadelling ships, is very valuable in my opinion. Making people use their heals and especially DCPs when there are CVs and subs around, helps your team a lot with getting damage in, while the opponent has no way to recover.

      Expecting to win by slowly getting the enemy team's hp pools working against their heals doesnt cut it when it comes to winning games. Devastating torps and broadsides win games as you have to work against your owns teams incompetence and early deaths. The slower you kill targets the faster you lose the game

      @@Brettcroese Yea depends on the game. Sometimes the games are slow and thats when ships like conq and devastation shine in my opinion.

      @@Brettcroesethat’s true, but ap and torp damage isn’t as reliable as he damage, it depends on the skill of the Player you’re shooting. If it’s a very good player, they’ll almost always find a way to dodge torps and angle against ap, but a goos player still won’t be able to dodge he and fires (except in a dd). But I do agree with you tho, overall most players will just show you broadside or sail into torps, and ap is also useful (unfortunately) to create crossfires with cvs and subs

      Exactly. And if it's one thing a burning bb with dcp on cooldown won't do is to push an invisible torp spewing ship in cap.
      Long range firespam is actually extremely important since it can slow down or completely halt an enemy advance.

      @@Gundolf300 yup. And let’s not forget the pure psychological damage done when the ennemy sees his ship being hammered by countless shells, his health ticking down before his eyes and the pure helpness from not being able to angle against it

    I think HE damage and fires is effective because it puts even more pressure on an already overburdened dcp. Yes, people heal back fires and dcp them, but for most ships once that’s gone they won’t have it for 1-2 minutes which is devastating (ha get it) if the guy can’t get away. It’s also very effective at stopping pushes, as most people tend to hesitate when they get lit up. I agree that it isn’t quite as immediate as AP is but i think it’s similar in effectiveness

    HE damage and fires are more psychological factors. If a battleship has a fire, but their damage control is available, they don't panic. But if that same battleship has a fire and their damage control is on cooldown, then they're often more cautious, scared to push. And the more fires (and floods), the better.

    Pen damage is treated the same, whether it is HE or AP, as far as I know. Overpens on the other hand count as light damage, so depending on the target environment spamming HE might even be preferable if we are talking about potential healing of direct hit damage. Besides, it does not need that much HE focus to compensate for heals, as many a battleship player will know.

    I think HE dmg and fires are one of the more effective damages. Yes they can heal it back, but if you are constantly spamming them and getting perma fires, you force a lot of BB's to retreat, and a lot of times (especially if they don't have fire prevention), you can burn down overcommited BB's completely. It's about the constant pressure and perma fires that makes fires/HE spam so powerful against battleships

    I’ve noticed a bug in which when you first lock onto a target, your dispersion is like being unlocked. How I fixed it was using x to Unlock and then relock onto the target

    Speaking of the 16.5" super Conqueror/ultra Marlborough with longer reload - I was a bit surprised that's the route they took rather than something like a 12 gun super Thunderer which would be more aligned with the other T11s.

    In this current meta of HE spam, ive burnt down many battleships while getting lots of damage, however i use alot of AP and that does good to. And being lit up with fires and using DCP IS a deturent that can stop a pushing flank.

    How can he say that HE is not impactful? Does he not see Ushakov turn around and flee? How is that not a massive impact? Such evasion of what is patently obvious.
    HE stacks, and you roll the dice no matter the angle. PQ knows this. There is no way that he can now say that HE is not impactful.
    Even if he is a CC, he could show a little more courage and introspection when explaining why he does not like HE battleships: It is because HE is inherently massively impactful.

      He has made countless remarks in the past how HE is broken on ships like thunderer and Vincent. Why would he not be explicit here?

      HE is highly valuable for winning map control. It's not the quickest way to sink a ship, and fires damage is 100% healable.....but against a major HE threat (like a Devastation), no battleship in the game can sit and tank it. The mere presence of the Devastation denies other BBs the possibility of pushing, because if they overextend and can't disengage, they will eventually go down.
      So even if you don't get the kill and the enemy can retreat and heal back up......if your positioning and focus fire is good, it can still win games. You are denying the enemy BBs from being able to influence the course of the battle, and once they disengage you are still on the frontlines with (at least until Maine releases) the highest AP alpha in the game, and are continuing to make an impact on the battle while the enemy BBs are staying dark to heal up and recover their DCP.
      I think the stigma behind HE being low impact comes from bad players who sit too far back, don't focus targets, and can't hit their shots consistently....and thus rack up tons of useless damage without ever being able to win map control or capitalize on it.

    its sooo fun, between the secondaries lighting everything on fire and the close range AP having nowere else to go then where you point it and everyone goes broadside because they think you are using HE

    I wanted to ask. What is the mod that you use that allows you to put the navigator (the thing showing how the enemy ship is angled) on the side by your ship icon and not in the middle of the screen?

    I have been watching your channel for a while and I noticed you kept treating AP full pen as if it is different from HE full pen when it comes to repair party. They are treated the same in the game and will be healed back by the same amount, both from normal and super heal. The only possible difference comes from overpenning saturated parts which only AP can do. HE does cause fire so maybe that is why you think you heal more from being HE spammed.

      You sure? Usually, all bbs can only heal 50% AP pen damage, us bbs and rn bc 60%, and the rn bbs 75%

      @@moritzpopp1326 yes, HE and AP penetration (also torps not hitting your mid ship section) are treated the same when it comes to heal

      @@moritzpopp1326 ap pen and he pen is the same. Citadel hits and torpedo hits to citadel is one kind of dmg, full pens and torps to bow/ stern is 2nd, with floods and fires being 3rd

    I actually like playing brawling AP Conqueror,. Bunch of short fuse shells has quite decent consistency while the super heal can keep you alive throught a lot of HE pressure. Not gonna works most of the time now cuz you just gonna die to CV and SS tho

    Hello, a question. Does this "Devastation" have a Spotter plane view modification? update: no matter, at least reply me how do I unlock this ship quickly. I can pay with doubloon if needed to get fast but I see a lock on that ship, so cant even buy now, please let me know

    So, we have bbs with 16 guns with better dispersion/sigma than Colombo (anything does) that can spam fires and roast ships. But SAP raw damage was the devil when Colombo was released, so let's give it awful reload and dispersion. I would trade SAP tomorrow for some decent reload and dispersion/sigma and obtain some consistency during matches.

    Just take Furious for the Lulz, conqueror with the Unique Commander ability + 2 fires and a bit of AR and you are a machine gun.
    Effective and reliable? No
    Fun? Sure

    Louisiana with a full secondary build is something really nice for Asymmetric battles, performing better than a lot of Schlieffens. Its a underrated US ship for secondary builds with its ability to have 9 secondary turrets on the same target instead of the normal 5.

      Its really situational since the Mentioned Schlieffen has 10 turrets on each side with the ability to pen 32mm, having a faster reload, more range and beeing more accurate + the shells beeing faster.
      You do get a slighty higher firechance tho so it performs quite well on longrange Sec brawling when all those shells hit the centre super structure, pen it and cause fires

      @@nicz7694 The Schlieffen has to be totally broadside no angling to use all the guns and the louisiana can have a relatively comfortable slight angle.

    Citadel hits to lower the hit point pool to the point that an average salvo can finally take the ship out. be it AP or HE. If you just do fire after fire you are using an angle grinder to take the ship out instead if drilling through a crankshaft or something.

    He damage is very powerful against bb's many bbs dont get super heals and it takes a long time to recover the dmg from he/fires...making it difficult to survive

    @Potato Quality I would like to see you play 2 matches back to back with one of them having the target always unlocked. See if the aiming bugs in this game are a thing or just hype, and what happens to dispersion with an unlocked target.

    why do you keep differentiating between AP damage and HE damage? heals treat them identically, the only difference is AP can obviously citadel you and fires set by HE shells are 100% healable

    15 minute mark when Missouri comes under fire when Ushakov is already on fire
    So far fires on Ushakov-6 and Missouri-1
    Devasation just like Conqueror...you will burn everything and get a lot of dmg..but not a lot of game impact

      The Conqueror can have a ton of game impact if you play it right. It has great concealment and handling coupled with a super heal. It has a heavy AP salvo weight (Devastation currently has the highest AP alpha in the game) with short fuse AP. Throw in the HE, and the Conqueror has plenty of carry power. With proper focus fire its HE can drive off enemy BBs and/or stop pushes, allowing the Conqueror to win map control, and its AP is more than capable of punishing broadside targets and deleting cruisers.
      If you just camp at the back of the map and spread fires around to farm the most potential damage, the Conqueror has low impact, but if you actually take full advantage of *all* of her tools, then it's an entirely different story.

    When is WG going to upgrade all the DDs? So many ships now, BB with torps and radar, same with cruisers.
    DDs need torps now same as a sub......PING, homing torps!!
