I started dying laughing when he went to the dev panel and then to the very last level. Like that's such a massive screw up to leave a dev panel in an accessible location.
One thing that has always bothered me with Spyro 3 is that Hunter is meant to be Spyros friend who knows that the dragon eggs have been stolen but hoards several of them only giving them to Spyro after he forces Spyro to do shit he wants to do they are Spryos people and he is basically holding them hostage
this Spyro trilogy technically does have a sequel, it just feels alot different. the games are Spyro Season of Ice, Spyro 2: Season of Flame, and Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs back on the gameboy advanced. while not obvious they are sequels to this trilogy, the Hunter and Bianca both appear in the first zone on Season of Ice and directly reference the events of 3
I remember playing attack of the rhynocs, was a very fun game, would be cool to see the whole entire world reimagined as a spyro game without any of the limitations of it being a GBA game.

I always had the superstition as a kid that it only happened when the frog fodder did their little ribbit that made their heads go huge lol. Or that a blue butterfly would only happen if the fodder wasn't looking at me.
I know the refund challenge is fun in concept, but you really shouldnt be doing the whole refund thing like this. This type of abuse will only lead to policy changes that will hurt actual gamers trying to refund in the future, and devs that work on these games that people refund. You can just go for the times without having to actually abuse the system.
0.01% of players can even do this successfully so they definitely wont. Thats like saying from-software will make their games even more brutally impossible to beat because a very rare player beat elden ring with out dying once…
this doesn't hurt anyone, and above comment is right, the amount of time required for you to spend in the game in order to even attempt a run like this is vastly over 2 hours so you would've already gotten the game anyways

Even if only a few people have the skill to do so, it is still bad for the system overall, because this is done with many games. That's before you account for the fact that a single person can do this many times. Buying and refunding an extra copy still hurts the devs. Finally, a significant portion of your argument relies on only being able to refund after a successful speedrun, but that isn't a necessary prerequisite. Videos like these encourage people to try it, and they are just as capable of refunding before ever having a successful speedrun.
I'm kinda surprised you like the original more with its floaty controls and twitchy visuals. I grew up with originals but the reignited trilogy took everything I thought spyro was when I was a kid and made it a reality with extra polish and WAY better controls. It's so much more responsive and it looks absolutely amazing. Replaying the old trilogy really made me appreciate this one even more because I forgot how mediocre the controls were tbh I love love love spyro in general and the original trilogy was so fun as a kid but I do have to acknowledge that the reignited version looks, sounds, and feels so much better.
It does not, unlike OG the portal to the Sorceress is localised entirely behind the 100 Egg door, and doesn't even spawn in until that door has been unlocked.
I hold the fastest time beating psx Spyro probably the first 🥇 person to find the glitch first day of games release back in the day when I was a child, straight headbash the fountain on first few minutes of gameplay ending up at final boss battle finishing the game without playing any of the levels 💪
These challenges are just speedrunning with extra steps... 😗 Edit: I love how the Speedrun requires you to complete the WORST of the four speedways in Spyro 2, I'd much rather take a time waste risk by doing this with Ripto and Canyon Speedway instead I hate the speedways, especially Wild Flight, Metro Speedway, and Harbor Speedway respectively Personally, I don't want speedways in Spyro 4, BUT, in order to make ALL of us happy, I say the speedways should be like the platinum relics in the majority of Crash games, they don't give you sh*t for 100% and are there for fun and sharing online scores, that way the speedway fans can play the new speedways, and the completionists who really hate them can not tear their hair out trying to 100% the game
I am just now learning that "steam refund challenge" is a thing. I sincerely hope it exists to motivate speedrunners, and not to actually rob developers of their income just to be a dick.
To even be able to attempt the refund challenge, you have to be very familiar with the games you attempt. No devs will ever be robbed because of this challenge because the runners will already own the game

@@snickerdoooodle jeremy dooley from achievement hunter streamed the spyro trilogy when it first released. he did all 3 games in one stream and he had played the originals for countless hours as prep for the stream considering that it was a early peak into the game before it was officially live. so yes the older games can indeed be used as a base for establishing a solid run pattern. can the new engine have its fair shares of new exploits and tricks? sure, but almost always the remasters will include the same tricks as the old.
Let's just hope trying refund challenges doesn't become the meme thing to do because the little timmys out there aren't gonna keep a game just because they failed the challenge. They'll just return it before time runs out and "beat the system" that way because LMAO.
sure can as you can always refund any game, the 14 days from purchase and 2 hour playtime are only factored in for the guaranteed refund but if you have 4 hours of play time for example you can just say the game locked up on a certain mission making progressing impossible or something along the lines and you get a full refund regardless
I was giving a rough example. GTA IV is where I bought it like 20 days ago and had somewhat around 4-5 hours but the mission concrete jungle kept crashing the game so I could refund it even after that amount of time, you can do this with any other game if it loocks up at a certain point or is otherwise impossible to play even if you just tried to fix it for like 5 hours and ran over guranteed refund time you cna just refund it@@bojangle

Remastering games isn’t a bad thing, game companies mostly just suck. They remastered the first 3 crash games and people played them so they made a whole new game after.
