Hello fresh isn’t that great. Some of the portion sizes are small and you still need to go to the shops for milk and other food items for breakfast and lunch. I don’t rate it at all.
Best speedrun is about a bald fat man driving his car also who wants Donuts at the quick e Mart. Homer: "we have to drive why must everything be so hard!" 😂
Pfft have you seen the crap they actually ship? Wilted soft half-dead vegetables that look like they fell off the truck at some point, and the meat is always reformed processed paste.
I cannot emphasize how well this game makes repeat zones feel so aesthetically different. Not alot of current games even come close.
That’s so true, it always felt a little different when we switched back to homer or Bart. More areas unlocked as you returned to those characters which kept the game very fresh as a kid.
Especially since they make the whole town spooky for the end that blew wmy lil kid mind
It's amazing what alternate lighting and slightly moving assets around can do for a level. Homer 1, Marge 1, and Homer 2 all feel so distinct imo

That clip of the car shooting into the sky from a single collision convinced me: *someone should make a glitchfest TAS of Hit & Run* .
Glitchfest requires all THREE versions: PS2 (can't TAS), Xbox (can't TAS), and Gamecube (CAN TAS.) Different console-specific glitches are in each game.

When I played as a kid I couldn't complete the timed DMV mission, because I never used the unfinished parts of the road, I had to download the trainer to freeze the time.
Played this way too much as a kid! If I saw these skips and reset tricks years ago my mind would've went into orbit. Would love a remake and thank you for playing this gem.

Simpsons Hit and Run…..a masterpiece of a Childhood game, i really really hope we eventually get a remaster of the game with more missions, i would love that so much
I picked up this game for my GameCube. Kinda collecting old games from my childhood and I gotta say. Even collecting everything for the first stage of the game alone took forever. I could not imagine attempting to speed run that. Props 👏
42:35 I remember years and years ago watching a 100% run where you had to grind those coins for like 30 minutes straight to get money for the rest of the run. It was the only speedrun I could find on youtube too, crazy to see how many runs there are now, even the 100% category which is hours faster than the one I saw years ago. I can also confirm that at 73rd place, you still have the fastest "69 fps run" lol

An immense amount of enjoyment came from playing this game back when I was a kid. It’s a shame they don’t make them like this anymore
If you want to see how the game could look remastered. There's a creator called reubs on RUclips who has been remaking it, sadly for copyright reasons he can't release it. But it looks insane
I must've run thorugh this game at least 50 times as a kid and had purely by accident figured out a lot of these strats already. What a nosalgia trip

I used to play this game all the time as a kid but never finished it due to not having a memory card cant explain how many times i tried to get further and further playing. Barts car always got me stuck playing him until the reset because it was cool to me back them

Did my first run yesterday and got a 1:54:35. I've played for years and finally decided to see if I could get a good time. Didn't practice any of the strats and choked most of them, but I'm content with having a sub 2 hour run. I'll probably give it another crack, but I don't know how runners can play the same segments over and over, requires a lot of dedication.

I wonder if the unknown substance bit in the cola kind of reminds me of the opening story of the Sarah Jane Adventures pilot story where aliens have taken on human form and slipped some alien stuff into the energy drink (while trying to bypass EU approval)? If so, where's the story part where the Buzz Cola factory is infiltrated and a certain person (who is really a disguised alien) pays off the FDA, thus setting up the tainted Buzz Cola part of the storyline.
PS. I would have added a disguised alien princess, posing as a friend of the Simpsons, one of the survivors of a colony that has been destroyed by the Rigelians. To get revenge, she blends in as an older human girl, about 12-13, a bestie of the Simpsons kids and family. She is secretly revealed to witness the corruption of the Buzz Cola and takes a can or two for analysis. She somehow escapes, but she now has to blend to escape the Rigelians that destroyed her home colony, now posing as a best friend of Lisa and Bart Simpson...

I never managed to beat this game when I was a kid, and I've always wanted to replay it. This might just be the motivation I needed.
