Tbf in the video the full quote is “since we have to wait so long in the forest and kupa keep this skip only saves a few minutes.” Like you know, compared to what the time save *would* be if we didn’t have to do a lengthy setup for the sequence break. @@Tommcq Unless I misremember, I don't think it had action input when you used abilities. That and Paper Mario also has a similar art style with the 2d Sprites.
The thing that pissed me off about the censored bits was that it means we didnt get the tutorial for the abortion bit, so when we got to the bomb at the end it was super easy to fail as you had no practice, and if you fail you die and have to reload which was really slow on consoles when it first released.

The runs for this game are very fun (if you ignore the 6 minute cutscene at the end of the run which is admittedly aggravating), so if anyone is interested I would recommend trying it out. Each class has any% routed out (fairly uniquely as well) both with and without the two main glitches shown (Bard Skip and Slave Skip). I personally have not done much on the unpatched versions with these skips but the runs without them are well documented so learning is hopefully not a chore (I made the route for Jew and Fighter classes so there is without a doubt room for improvement, but I am happy with how it turned out). Thanks to EZScape for showcasing this run, hope it was an enjoyable experience.

Hearing the new kid say "Screw you guys, I'm going home" feels weird after playing fractured but whole, new kid doesn't speak or even pull a face in the full game, in both DLC's, anything, just reacting to in game combat scenarios and that's it. It's honestly pretty funny.

Consider that the only time in Stick of Truth that Dovahkiin makes an expression that isn't the default is when Butters uses his Paladin class ability to heal him.
And when clenching with the alien probe.
But Dovahkiin does speak in the second game, just not voice acted. You tell Mr. Mackey and PC Principal your demographic information to fill out your character sheet. And in the first game, you give Cartman your name and answer two "yes/no" questions. Again, just not voice acted.

I like how you go through the story with a neutral voice, like everything that happens is normal. The government acting like there is a new Taco Bell being built, your parents having sex while you are watching them, the zombies. Completely normal phenomenon.

SoT is such a fantastic speedgame. All input the whole way. I might get back into it once I can find some time, I miss having records in this game.

The game is so fun. It’s like I’m in the show able to make my own episode everytime I log In. Fractured butthole is awesome too. I really hope they’re In the process of a new title for this series as it’s beloved by me and I’m sure many.
There will be one new game between 2023 and 2027 at least. They signed a deal to make at least one. Hopefully it'll come out before 2027 though. xD

@@aneanderthalscout37 As I said. They signed a deal. 900 million dollars for 14 movies, 2 more seasons of south park on comedy central, and one more game all to take place between 2022-2027. Since it's all ready 2023 that game is going to come out sometime in between those dates or the contract is breached. Unlike the previous two games it'll be made by a different developer and no one knows if Ubisoft will be in charge to publish it or not.
As for the setting who knows. Since the game is going to be in house they have tons of ability to make something new for the show that'll be in the game instead of anything that's out right now.

I've played through this game casually and the "booster seat" joke in the abortion clinic is one of the funniest things I have ever seen in any Southpark media just because of how "wrong" it was. If that got censored out of the Australian version it's a shame.
That joke was definitely FUCKEDDDDD but sadly accurate tho
However funny the "sorry asustarila/europe" screens are they still replace some of the best parts of the game and you can feel something is missing

Sadly the 3rd game is now confirmed to be 3d, which is kinda sad because I love how the first 2 felt like you lived in South Park. Heck I intentionally chose the abilities without powers in FBW so I could feel like I’m actually in an episode.

I love how this game mixed the mario and luigi rpg series mechanics and final fantasy mechanics to make it work well. I liked how the second game changed some things to make it feel new and interesting too, both games in my opinion were great in their own aspects!
I hated the fighting system change myself but loved the game. I've also hate most change in things I like lol

South park 64 wasn't a bad game, it suffered from a lack of guidance in game, which is common at that time. The multi-player mode was super super fun, and just messing around was the most fun. If you take it for what it is, a non serious game of a parody show, I think it's a gem, even if the controls are pretty rough
making your friends dance with the laser, just to throw a pissed on snowball in their faces - precious. I love this game so much :D
No 64 just “South Park” I had it for PlayStation 1
My best friend had that game and we played the shit out of it. It would always be me, him, his older brother, and our other friend, so exactly 4 players. We had 3 main games that we’d play against each other in the multiplayer, South Park, Goldeneye, and Smash Bros. We’d play one game until someone became a little too dominant and then we’d switch to another game. Once someone became a bit too dominant in that then we’d go to the third game. Rinse and repeat as we cycled through those 3 games for hours on end. Man those were some fun times. That was only time I ever got to really play 4-player multiplayer was when I was with them, any other time the most I could get was 3-players, usually just 2 though, and in that group South Park wasn’t allowed because of their parents so we could only play Smash or Goldeneye. What a time to be alive though😂
One thing that wasn't explained super clear is the plus melee patches or why the ignore armor ones for the weapon matter. Abilities have a weird mechanic or possibly bug where secondary effects for whichever weapon you have out directly affects the ability. You can more visually see this in Jew speedruns where we use bouncy ranged weapons to give the sling of david several more bounces than it would normally have. Here, the plus melee gives direct damage to each of the 6 ticks of dragon's breath as well as the ignore armor, though in the late game the plus melee gets power crept for percent damage and a ton of ignore armor.

The Turn Based South Park Games, AND the 2 original Paper Mario Releases, are the best games of their Genre.. EVER.
I've played so many turn based RPGs, none hit this good for their respective worlds.

Unfortunately FBW is a lot less runable. Most of the cutscenes and tutorials are unskippable so even if gameplay was more optimized than it was, runs would still be over 3 hours long.

this game feels like a mixed Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario 64. the low level cap, the timed hits/defends, and then it feels like, in my experience, Chrono Cross, because you heal after every battle.
Now do South Park 1999. So far, only 1 person has been able to do any% on PC. It's unbelievably fucking difficult

This is really cool I didn't even know stick of truth had a speed run community. (I guess any game can) Are their any 100% speed runs out there? Seeing how you optimized things was cool it made me think that seeing an fully optimized 100% run also be really cool.
There are. I even have an all achievements run on my channel. It isn't very different than 100% in the end but there are interesting routing changes that I personally enjoy.

I remember when I played it there was eventually an upgrade or armor you could get that made it so when you used Dragon’s Breath, it would completely refund its cost. It might have been a preorder bonus I don’t remember. I wonder if it’s worth routing around to get
I just checked, and this item is found in the Tower of Peace, which is pretty slow to go through. Also, the only fights where PP is an issue is the Alien fight and the Kenny fight, both of which we manage to work through anyway (although Kenny would be a bit faster if we didn't have to worry as much about it).

Really cool to see you talking about the stick of thuth, I used to speedrun this game, I believe that I still hold the WR for the class fighter on the current patch
Your run is the fastest fighter run on current patch for consoles (which is generally faster than pc) however my pc run is 8 seconds faster. Since the boards are split it is a wr, but it wasn't beforehand.

I think the game's battle gameplay is closer to Paper Mario(well, classic Paper Mario games) than FF, since FF games didn't have any interactive elements to increase damage in, like, 99% of cases.

It's like a modern paper mario, except with cute bugs. And it's actually (somewhat [more]) difficult.

Fun Fact: The main difference between the Australien and European censoring is, that in the European version ervery Hitler salute is censored with a black bar.
(And also the censor screen during the spaceship part is different)

mage is one of, if not the most, broken class in the game. theres a patch in here you can get that totally breaks how powerful you can be. its a patch that restores PP every time you land a fire attack. if you use dragons breath itll fully restore your PP, and if you have the perk that gives you extra PP you can use a pyro ball then a dragons breath to restore all that PP you lost. its so powerful that i love using it in playthroughs and laughing at how stupidly easy i get through everything.
N64 South Park was a hidden gem. It's not bad, its actually pretty fun.
Highlight is the multiplayer ( I wish it'll return on the N64 VC on the Switch with online multiplayer !! ) - I loved making my buds dance on the spot, pissing on a snowball and then throwing it into their face. It's awesome :D

the craziest part is the when I was really young during my pokemon phase, i had a similiar game in a dream which revolved around a stick as well but instead of humans and elf’s its humans and pokemon and the south park characters were characters from pokemon (mainly kalos). Mind you i was 7 and didnt even know what south park is
i agree with the speed potion being the best item , despite not being a speedrunner . its just generally the best except for speed potion ultra
the gnome fight is kinda funny because I too skipped the cutscene without even trying my first time thru because I just did sidequests and got overleveled

When you look for the most played parts of the video, the most played by far seems to be the war game ad. Extremely sus.
Here i thought there was going to be more out of bounds glitches and skipping of scenes but you mostly went through the whole game
A lot of the patches, especially the percentage ones, simply don't do anything. That makes things even more broken.
This is probably one of the hardest stories to explain to someone who has never played the game.
