A great way to increase the utility on any truck is by adding a bed cover. With the out-of-the-gate popularity of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator onto the midsize truck scene, we knew there would be plenty of soft and hard cover options flooding the market. While there are many to choose from, we recently tested out one of the more user friendly and affordable one's that we've come across- the EZ-Roll Soft Tonneau cover from Bestop.
In this video, we breakdown not only in the install, but find out how well it works to keep our gear out of the elements.

Dumb question - are the side rails the same length? I just purchased this kit and the side rails are different lengths which means the latches are offset too. Bestop customer service is trying to tell me this is normal when logic tells me otherwise for how this is supposed to fit and function.

I don’t remember them being a different length. I know they were side specific, but that’s all I remember. I now have the Bestop Supertop for Trucks 2 bed cover on this Jeep. So, unfortunately, I can’t measure anything to know for sure.

Nice. I like that better than my rugged ridge roll up cover. What bed mat is that?

      Zachary Fike It’s from Deezee.

Really like mine. Everything has a high quality feel.
I have the twill, and noticed it doesn't appear to have had any water repellent applied. I don't know if that's a negative or not.

Thanks, can we install any bed rack along with this cover?

I haven’t combined this with a rack. There might be some options out there, but I haven’t tried one.

Can this be installed if you have the storage rails? Also can you put the pull tabs on the inside so it can be completely locked?

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  3 года назад +1

Yes. You can flip the bracket so it works with the stock trail rail system. (I actually upgraded my Jeep with that, so I know for a fact that it works). I'm assuming you are referring to the pull cables as tabs. With the cover closed, you can make sure they stay hanging in the tailgate so no one can access them until you open the tailgate. Hope that helps.

Just installed mine. Pretty easy hoping it’s watertight

I have had it on for almost a year now. It does a pretty good job at keeping the water out. Just remember to shut the tailgate first, then clamp the back. If not, the seal won't lay properly and it will leak.

Do the side rails adhere to the truck through adhesive + clamps or just clamps?

Does it bend the gladiator bed side where the clams are

Not that I have noticed. I haven’t had any issues with where it attaches.

Well it's over a year since posting this video, so how's the tonneau holding up? Does this leak, fitment still good, any issues? I'm torn between this as I like the fabric look, and Access brand tonneau as I had one in the past and it worked well.

It's still working well. The material looks great, but it does have a little move give. Basically, it will have small puddles of water sitting on top if we get a hard rain. It does a great job in general keeping things dry, but it's not 100% leak proof. My only complaint about it is that you have to close the tailgate first, then click the cover down. If not, the rear seal won't sit properly.
