Hello Dot, well done, it looks amazing 😍, you've made an heirloom for the future generations, it was very interesting to watch the process, mine is more like the lighter green feathers, I suspect the colour has faded a lot over the years, but the crepe paper gave the trunk a very similar texture to my tree, mine still had faint cigar smell when I was small, but its long gone now, I do remember some berries too but there were none left on it when my mum gave it to me over 30 years ago, I love the decorations you used on it too, especially the beads, mine had a string of coloured mercury glass beads when I was small, I wish I knew what happened to them, mum didn't give me her decorations when she gave me the tree, if or when you decide to change the base dont forgot to add the date you made it, that was people in the future will know how old it is 😊

Hi Diane🤗 I used the brighter green on the mini tree but wanted to try the darker for the large tree. The website has other colors including white, red and black! I saw an all white one at an antique mall a few days ago. Thank you for reminding me to date it! ( I don't consider things like that). I wish we could too, my Victorian one is in need of a few repairs, it's lost some feathers in places 😔 and all it's berries
Hi Lorraine🤗 Not sure if the company ships overseas. Other than the feathers, all the other supplies could be easily found at a craft store. Hi Dot! The feather tree looks amazing! 🤩🎄 You did a great job putting it together. A wooden fence at the bottom of the tree with a couple of putz sheep 🐑 🐏🐑 would add to the rustic style and make it look timeless. 😊 I have a little wood fence and a couple of sheep for my feather tree, but this year I only displayed the tree without the fence. Maybe next year, I'll find a place to display it. 😂 Of course, I purchased everything, as I have never worked with wood before, and it requires skill to do so! You're a pro at making all the little decor from different materials for your dollies, and they all look very happy. 😄 I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas! 🎄♥️🎁☃️❄️

This a very difficult thing to do great technique .I love learning how to make vintage items. Really lovely tree thank you for sharing. I can just see someone making one of these with what they had, who ever thought feathers would look like branches 🤣🤣I love your vintage collection of Christmas such a great collection. Hi Grace🤗 I think authentic builders of these trees actually twirl the feather around the wire by spinning the wire. Try as I might, my poor fingers could not manage it. I have a ridiculous amount of vintage Christmas throughout my house. Some years I put out more, some less..this year was more!
