I love the kitchen tools! My farmhouse, when I build it, will be set in the 30s, but they're an older couple and will have some earlier furnishings as well.
Hi Joni🤗 Can't wait to hear more about your farmhouse. Ya! Whistle By House is set in mid 30s but has been in the family for generations so there are old Victorian items as well. It's an "old" house! 🥰✨

Me too! (there is no doubt to our kinship. lol). I have a kitchen loaded with vintage tools and dishes which I use every day. The fun is in using them. 🥰✨😘

Hello Dot, you did amazing, they all turned out great, I really admire your perseverance. I remember the old utensils my mum had with the red and green handles, those colours must have been popular everywhere at the time.

So cute, Dot! Jolene just posted a wire bed that i shared my favorite wire trick on, and thought you might like to try it, too. Anytime I'm using thin wire that I need to keep it's shape, I unspool a little more than I'll need, grab the cut end with pliers then use the spool itself to help you stretch your wire straight. Voila! Straighter, stronger wire.
Great idea! 🤗 I need more tips! I haven't seen Jolene's bed yet but I'll be watching. I did my infirmary beds with wire and it worked out. Try and try again! Thanks! 🥰✨

Dot they all came out too cute I love the dough cutter I know it wasn’t easy but sooooo cute. I agree someone needs to do some dishes 🤣🤣😂😂😂💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕I made a clothing wash bin out of a small metal tin ,from some kind of scrub i got for Christmas .A Oh dish scrub brush and a floor brush. I went through the same struggles as you putting in the bristles. I’m going to make a wash board and I’m going to try and make some metal furniture found some thick flat aluminum wire colored in brass and antique copper. I’m thinking some beds etc.. Hobby lobby had them reduced so I bought some. They had the sweeties pieces in the jewelry dept. 😍😍😍😍I love arts and crafts have too many hobbies ,so I have to limit myself😳😳😬😂😂Happy mini making sweet friend 💕💕💕💕
Hi Grace! This all sounds wonderful! I did a few scrub brushes awhile back. They were not so great. The wire sounds very cool. Flat wire would come in so handy. I was so embarrassed to see how unkempt the dolls' kitchen has become. I think I need to work on some storage shelves or cupboards. Happy mini making to you also my friend. 🥰✨
The utensils are, DARLING!!! You did a great job and I love every single one of them, especially the little wooden spoon! The end of those fancy toothpicks worked great! I’m going to steal that idea!
Hi Becky! 🤗 Omgosh I'm obsessed with these little tools now, wondering how I can improve them or add more styles. Ya! Please show me when you make some. How in the heck should I be doing the wooden spoons. It's so hard to make the little spoon bowl. 🤣🤣🤣🥰

Hi Mary🤗 I heard one You Tuber say to turn off then on again the notification bell. It must be set to "all". 🤷🏻♀️Other than that I don't know. Let me know how you do your wooden spoons. The reason I didn't use a toothpick was because it was too thick and split when I tried to shave it down. The stick was more workable. The clay top part was difficult! Maybe polymer clay? I have a little but have never used it so I didn't try. Let me know how your spoons turn out. 🥰✨
I fell in love the first 2 mins into the video.😂 those are so great! I was completely amazed by the tweezer control, now thats a skill I dont possess. I would have dropped that tiny rhinestone as soon as I grabbed it..forget picking it up to show the viewers🤣😂
I love the cutter, and I still have a masher like that, I prefer to use them over mixers. I can't wait to get into the kitchen and start creating. I may have to go there next after the attic bedroom. That means poor Miss Margo will have to wait longer than expected for her room to be done😂. ❤🥰
Hi Jolene! 🤗 LOL. Tweezer control..it comes, it goes. 😂 I like using tweezers because once I get glue (or paint, or dust..) on my fingers I'm sure to spread it like a disease across everything I'm working on 🤣 I'm obsessed now with the kitchen tools and can't stop making them. They're improving somewhat. The wooden spoon is the most frustrating because..how does one make the tiny little spoon part 🤣??? I've neglected the kitchen so far but it's such a fun room to work on! 🥰✨
Read baking soda on super glue hardens immediately.

No one needs a background 'no it all,' but maybe a comb would work for the masher, back and forth, ?? don't worry, I won't attempt any of those❤😂

I was not beware of, that those kitchen tools are a hundred years old! And we still use them (if you are not a person, owning a Kitchen Aid machine..)! How cute they are looking in your kitchen, hope, the cake came out well! 😉

@@thedollcupboard when I was young there was a woman down the street who would go to the local grocery and get free wood orange crates. She made and sold dollhouse furniture from it. I still have a few of her pieces.

I have a tip for the pastry cutter, now I’m not sure if this tip will work🥴😅It just occurred to me, if you cut a triangular shape from takeout aluminum plates, the same shape like the original size one and then sandwich the wires between two triangles, and after it dries, you can shape the other side sandwich those also, and then glue them to the toothpick, I think that would be easier to handle and control, don’t take my word for it. I just imagined it lol😆
Hi Kara🤗 This is a great idea!!! When I started, I had some foil and my brain was trying to get to an approach like this but never did. I should have spent more time looking at my real pastry cutter. LOL. I am going to make more utensils. I'll keep you posted. 🥰✨
I am doing a french country dollhouse, mixing past and present so that some things look like antiques or vintage appropriate for a dollhouse that had several generations of the same family having lived in it. It will be set in "France" so nothing will read as american.

@@thedollcupboard I don't have a whole house yet as I will be making from scratch and not a kit. I have the plans all drawn out and am waiting for a clear area to put it in. I just moved into a new to me house where I am sure to carve out some space. I have been making things to go in it for several years. I have an artistic background so i think i can make most if not everything. I have made furniture, decor, plants and flower arrangements, and pottery. I even made the front door so I could get exactly what I wanted since those kind of things don't have much diversity out there. I may be able to show you some pictures of those things.
