How to install Bath & Body Works Scentportable

- Hello, my lovelies,
It is day 5 of vlogmas 2020 and I am here with another video showing you how you can install Scentportable.
Scentportables are car air fresheners from Bath & Body Works, in all our beloved fragrances like Japanese cherry blossom, endless weekend, black cherry merlot, and many more. They are fairly easy to install, just take care while removing the foil off the refill. Just be careful that you do not damage the film which contains the fragrance in the process.

I searched youtube on how to install B&BW car fragrance bc I thought I was doing it wrong bc there's no scent emanating from the scent pod. I thought maybe I wasn't peeling away a micro film or something but nope, I'm doing it correctly and hate myself for wasting so much money on these POS scent pods.
Yeah they kind of exhaust in 2 weeks max, you got to keep changing them. But how i did it was I got many pods when there was a sale going on, so I kinda got a deal.
If you still like B&BW fragrances, keep a look on the site for sales and stock up then 😁

Same here! I got them on sale but I'm still gonna take them back. I've only ever had one that was good for a week or two and the other 3 I've tried make no difference
There's a lot more liquid inside thepods but there's no more scent. Waste of money.
Omg this helped so much! Here I was thinking that my visor clip went in the AC vent and freaked out because you can't put a visor clip in a vent lol! I'm so stupid, thank god for this video 😅

@@Ash-qq3ve I've only seen people put these bath and body works things in their car vents, I didn't know there was a difference between these visor clips and vent clips 😂

Same. I JUST picked up my scent pods after ordering for the first time. I bought numerous pods and opened Watermelon Lemonade to try in my car for the first time. Put AC on blast to try to smell it. I can only smell it when it’s close to my face. I’ll most likely just get a refund for the rest bc it’s not worth it. I can get better quality at Dollar Tree or Walmart.

Just an opinion here. The scents are sporadic and weak. Here in the US it's sold as a bundle of 3 for nine dollars. I recommend buying 3 of the same scents. I have one on each visor and ac vent. Then when parked leave the visor down. The scents seem to be oil based so when the sun hits it, there's a boost of evaporation so when you come back to car it is better smelling
The k you for this because I cannot smell the fragrance hardly at all. IMO the Febreeze car scents are much more fragrant and cheaper.

This makes more sense than the directions the product provides. The first when I bought broke. Still got the fragrance and it smelled great. Just left it hanging out in my cup holder 😂

I like the ones where you can either use it on the vent or visor. The one with a paw and heart works on both. I prefer the vent though as the scent seems stronger for some of the softer scents.

I appreciate the video allowing me to figure out whether I was actually setting this up properly. My 2 cents on it: Not worth purchasing. I'd say maybe 10% of the time right when I get into my car I smell a very faint hint of it, and the rest of the time nothing at all. Hence why I thought I wasn't doing something right. Real bummer.

Wow I feel like an idiot. I thought it was like those mini Febreze ovals for small spaces where it punctures it....nope. I like the idea of puncturing the ones I have and putting in the air filter or even into my diffuser. I'm glad I only bought the cheap air freshener though. 😑 I'm glad I wasn't alone!!
They are definitely worth it! I would say you may have put it backwards. Especially since you say you have a difficult time smelling it and have to hold it close to your face. They do have a strong scent, you can clip them elsewhere in the car. The scent lasts longer than most candles at other stores. I won’t use anything else. I also clip them to, or close to my home air conditioner. Just make sure it’s blowing away to distribute the scent around the room.❤🌸🌺🌼💐

yep, I also thought i was doing it wrong but I wasn’t and there is no smell and the liquid pod is still full after 4 months, it just doesn’t work, total waste of money and I bought loads of them 😢

No. It wont dry out! In 3 weeks, the smell will fade in the car and that’s how we know its time to change. The liquid remains same, and the fragrance will be there, when put to nose, but otherwise not.

watched this video because I've had one on my visor for almost a year and becausr I can't smell it in my car anymore I wanted to be sure I had installed it correctly. My pod shows all the liquid is still in it. Weird

Never scents sometimes I’ll puncture it and let a couple drops onto the cabin filter
I purchased it more cheap, 848: Gray Soft Touch Visor Clip and 3 refills
These things look cute aesthetically, but hardly any scent comes out. For those thinking of buying one, you’re better off getting a Febreze one from Target. But like I said, the holders can look pretty.

I have the Santa with the dangling legs and I did it right, however the scent is none. Only when you put it to your face, while is cute I will never waste my money again.

Unfortunately, you’ve to buy both! The refill and the holder separately.
Then you can keep buying just the refills.

I’m gonna have to buy something like this because my new 2023 crv and it’s air vents are a different shape then a normal car so febreeze vent clips don’t fit
I agree to some comments. I cannot smell the scent even though I did the correct step in putting it in the AC. Waste of money and time.
I had to punch a little hole at the top of mine and put mine on my AC vent because that way u did it you really don’t smell anything but the way I did it worked for me If that helps anyone 😊

I punched a hole and the liquid ruined my dashboard with residue I could not remove. I do not recommend this device. Buyer Beware!

My visor clip doesnt stay closed and it doesnt throw any scent. I find it to be useless
Its time to bring home a new scentportable refill. It only lasts for 2 weeks realistically! Mane sure you get both from bath nd body works

I think buy in a new body, and a new refill. Preferably buy it in sale.

Yes. It works the same way. You put in the refill and attach it to ac vent instead of visor .
I nervous my visor is too thick for the clip. I dont want to break it I got the one with the plant on it.
It wont break i think, it is designed keeping in mind most visors, so you can try to you know gently place it in there. If not, there’s also an option to buy the holder which attaches to the ac vent. So you can go for that one too
@@everythingpj4684 I found a spot off the visor I can clip it. I wonder if winter makes them more vulnerable to breaking. 🤔 I'm a fed ex driver I put it in my van. Lol

But mine doesn’t smell! I’ve had mine for literally months! And all the liquid scent is still full in there. And I did it just like described in the video. And it doesn’t smell. You have to get your nose right on it to smell it. And I bought the cutest pineapple visor clip but the scent pods do not work. So disappointed in this B&BW product.

Not happy with mine either. I thought maybe I was suppose to remove the film because..it's not putting out any fragrance. I just punctured it a bit..I'm sure it will evaporate quickly. Not worth it! I'll probably just use febreese instead.
So how Do I know when its time to change?
It only lasts for 3 weeks or so. You’d start noticing no fragrance in your vehicle, and thus you know that its time to change
These are a complete waist of money in my experience. Your better off going to family dollar or Target 🎯 or Walmart and getting cheaper scents that you can actually smell. I have two that I opened two years ago and the oil is still in them . I opened them correctly and the oil doesn’t dispense . To date I have 6 total that are open with no scent coming out of either. Save your money and headache.
Im sorry but I can’t tell if I’m going crazy. I’ve had them in since the beginning pf September this year, and it has not gone down a inch. Can’t tell if it’s working or not. I smell nothing in my car but obviously the closer I bring it to my face, the stronger it smells.

The max a scent-portable refill lasts is 4 weeks.
