That wasn't shyness that was him trying as hard as he could to control his anxiety during the interview. It can definitely be confused with tremendous shyness but it's not, it's pure anxiety. For anyone who's had or has severe untreated anxiety disorders this is exactly what it looks like when a person uses everything ounce of energy he has to keep it as under control as possible. It is absolutely draining at any age but this is also why he needed something anything to relax him. I think he was born with this disorder or he acquired after something very traumatic because he got real heavy into smoking pot since he was 7 years old. For 20 years, 10 joints every single day and that was before his acting career. It was obvious that after he was really well known he would be having trouble again, having cameras shoved in your face 24/7 cannot be healthy for anyone let alone someone who's always had an anxiety disorder, he never had a chance to heal, to get the proper treatment all the while becoming the best actor we've ever seen. Even with all thoses hurdles,he still managed to be the best actor of our era and his short career was enough to immortalize him. You'll be forever missed Heath.
