I always wondered why Tom Hanks' narration over the final scene reversed the interior two lines of the poem he read to Sophie after he opened the cryptex. Then I realized after my last, possibly 30th viewing, it reflected the order of his discovery at the Louvre versus Rosslyn chapel. LOL hard to explain but watch those two segments again. Yes, but I think from what you can see in the bible. This should only have been possible after His resurrection, since Christ came into the world to die, and deliver us from hell. It may be that in the brief period that he was present on Earth, before ascending and returning to the heavens, they 2 may have finally been able to exercise their humanity. But, what I said is just a hypothesis. One day we will all know. You know I believe, there is strong evidence of this, especially coming from the movie industry.

After seeing this film a few years ago. There is a feeling in my heart to want to find out more about Mary Magdalene. Why ? Day and night I always think about it. Am I crazy ? I am not a religious person.
@@jamesoxford4260 I completely agree - the scene perfectly encompasses that feeling of being such a small link in the greater history/scheme of things. Langdon kneels and in his face we can clearly see the reverence of a man who - although he studies and knows how religion is flawed, recognizes what man has done and has kept through millenias. What church has become - ultimately, we can't do anything about it and I reckon it was the source of a great deal of evil. But I still look at cathedrals, places like the Mont Saint Michel or even the small Rosslyn Chapel, and even the simple act of believing, having faith, and yeah I see the duality of divine and man, mingling in some sort of a dance through the centuries. This scene is perfect for so many reasons and this is one of those.
It wasn't so much faith as much as it was trying to find the truth of a faith he's long been a part of even though he never really believed in it. He believed Jesus was a real person, just not the miracles he was said to do: something a lot of agnostics acknowledge. Still doesn't believe in God's existence (something he acknowledged in the second movie), but in the end, that's what makes him a good protector (or Knight Templar if you prefer): for him, it's protecting someone Jesus loved from those who seek to destroy her in his/Peter's/God's name. Through Sophie, he's come to respect the woman herself, and thus the man himself, not the legend.

Is this the same building where Sonier's body was found in the opening? If the answer is yes, then Mary Magdaline's body is buried beneath the same building. Notice the Blade and Challace sculptures. Which means that this took Robert in one huge loop.
There’s no way that, even if she’s real and her sarcophagus is still intact, that she’s under the Louvre. This story only puts her there because The grandmaster of the Priory of Sion was the Louvre’s curator.

Napoleon once said, "What is history, but a fable agreed upon?" He smiled. "By its very nature, history is always a one-sided account. You believe it or not .. We never questioned the holy bible and the church. Dan Brown was telling the truth. The vatican pope's spread the news and ordered the churches all over the europe to kill the knights templars in 1307 October 13 on a Friday. And the reason the church was claiming that the Templars started evil worshipping. The things what we know is all, what the bible told to us. That is one sided history. According to the beliefs in bible the god created the universe. in the beginning - God started creation the first day - light was created the second day - the sky was created the third day - dry land, seas, plants and trees were created the fourth day - the Sun, Moon and stars were created If god created the sun on the fourth day how did the four days passed. So stop blaming Dan Brown and Da Vinci code try to learn history from all side. Sorry for the bad english🙏

In each planet it is different ..in different universe it is entirely different from Earth...you cannot know the ministry of God...according to God 1000years are equal to one day..fear the Lord...you know very well what happened to Titanic when they thought superior than God...first if all that davinci painting is full of mistakes.. At first he drew as the last supper took place on day where as it happens at night..he again changed it in his next painting...this is enough to say that he can make mistakes.. After all he is just a human being... Do you think if men do not grow moustache he is consider as a lady??? Stupid painting, stupid thought, stupid movie and stupid you...never challenge against the Lord...You will be destroyed...remember the Lord is love and the same Lord is the consuming fire also...
Not convincing but very touching scene. Even as pretty strong critic of my former catholic faith, the pretty Marian or virgin Mary venerations, devotions, very worship like practices to Mary mother of God are all a huge sign to me. Sign of a very real Goddess I dare say exists. I don't pray to her or do any similar saint interecessory prayer as catholics believe. However, if I did something like so, would for sure remind me of this ever enduring Goddess ritual like honors of Mary. This is deep stuff no matter your faith.

Music and Tom’s face convey the emotion
The Grail knight has been tested and proven himself worthy.

She rests at last beneath starry skies. Mary Magdaline pray for us and the whole world. Amen.
One of the greatest movie ever,in my opinion
Everybody gangsta until some radical digs down the Louvre
Best actor for this trilogy ❤️
I give thumbs up for the music 👍👍
Only the worthy can fulfill the quest.
Thanks to this monologue from Tom Hanks this movie difference good game my favourite movie with Tom Hanks of all time And I really like this music it’s nice and relaxing and meditating
Is this the same building where Sonier's body was found in the opening? If the answer is yes, then Mary Magdaline's body is buried beneath the same building. Notice the Blade and Challace sculptures. Which means that this took Robert in one huge loop.
If we could just excavate that place to see the truth
There’s no way that, even if she’s real and her sarcophagus is still intact, that she’s under the Louvre. This story only puts her there because The grandmaster of the Priory of Sion was the Louvre’s curator.
It's fiction...
Not to mention there have been ‘holy sites’ that claim to have her bodily remains
@@abasifrekeakpan5473 this film is
At least he pay respects and did with respect.
Tremendous scene! So powerful.
How would Tom Hanks character truly know he found Mary? What if he just kneeled to nothing? lol
The most beautiful movie from Sony
Love the music in the ending of this scene
I can't help but wonder how the guardians were able to secretly move around such a large, stone sarcophagus. It has to weigh several tons.
This soundtrack defines all Robert Langdon trilogies
I'm betting some Louvre employee went down there to check after watching this movie 🤠🔎
If look really hard around the @1:50 mark you can see a really detailed reflection of a camera man. Pretty crazy for such a high budget film. It’s better to see it on a large resolution tv screen
This movie shouldn't be ban in India😕 it's a masterpiece😕
This whole movie is genius
Da Vinci code, and the Toy story series are my favourite movies with Tom Hanks
Science is new religion, world is continuous, Creation and destruction is part of cosmos, which we have to accept.God wants devotion not by fear in your mind but devotion by love.
According to the beliefs in bible the god created the universe.
in the beginning - God started creation
the first day - light was created
the second day - the sky was created
the third day - dry land, seas, plants and trees were created
the fourth day - the Sun, Moon and stars were created
If god created the sun on the fourth day how did the four days passed.
So stop blaming Dan Brown and Da Vinci code try to learn history from all side.
Sorry for the bad english🙏
Stupid fellow...God himself is a light, he is a consuming fire...he created day and night for humans not for himself...four days passed away based on time. .first have some sence..go and ask astronauts about the time and time period..
If I were given the chance, i'd kneel too
Not convincing but very touching scene.
Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended
to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say to them,
I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God.
John 20:17

El final mas epico de la historia del cine.
My favourite line: " How great the con of man "....
I love this scene a lot, even though I don't like the movie. I prefer the book than the movie.
Amezing movie with amezing background scores
This scene gave more belief than all religions in the world combined
