I liked Raph so much in this show. He's that protective, but caring older brother. You gotta give him credit for dealing with Leo, Mikey, and Donnie. (Especially Leo.)
I adore the ladder fight scene because of all the symbolism. Prior to Leo being made leader (which was something the upper executives asked for, the showrunners actually wanted to keep Raph in that position) he was paralled with his father so much, and it makes me wonder what they were aiming for with his character. He was the only one who witnessed how Splinter lost his mom, after all.
god that makes so much sense. There is literally no reason to make Leo the leader in this show. Not only is Raph the oldest, he's the most respected of all of them and he's good at being in charge of the team. It's a pity they didn't let the characters grow naturally.
I do love how he does have moments of anger within Rise, but for the most part it is for the sake of his brothers. I wouldn't be surprised if he still has anger issues but because he's the big brother (literally and literally) he had to learn to tone it down.
Raph's mystic power of being able to create a non physical version of himself is so cool and unique. It's a lot like Ghostbear's power which is interesting because Ghostbear was Raph's role model. He can make himself bigger too which represents his protective role as their older brother. Raph's awesome and deserves more love

As someone who grew up with 2012, 2012 will always hold a special place in my heart. The ROTTMNT cartoon may never reach that point, but the movie is pretty close.
This version of Raph is my absolute favorite. Actually, this is the Only version of Raph I like. No offense to all the other versions, but "jerk with a heart of gold" doesn't work if the jerk part heavily out ways the heart of gold part. The 2012 version got close by making him a secret animal lover and a hidden romantic but he was still a grouchy brat most of the time. Stressed big brother Raph is a sweet baby that deserves all the hugs and his anger makes a lot of sense considering what kind of lunatics his little brothers are.
The outfit with the skull buckle and ripped sleeves/jeans would fit him if he had the same personality as his other incarnations But since he’s such a giant teddy bear it just don’t fit his personality
I will constantly mutter "the brain is nature's notepad" whenever someone tells me something and I have to try to remember it, knowing in my heart that there is no way in hell I'm going to without getting to write it down 😫 Also, I think the face he makes in that scene night be my favorite Raph expression in the whole show
Rise Raph is my favorite version of all TMNT's Raph's! It was so nice to see that Rise Raph didn't go angry for every reason (if the other Fans for the other versons of Raph sorry I don't really like them I don't hat them eather) and sometimes (annoy way) very fast for the smalest reason. I also liked that Rise Raph wants to protect his brother or bether to say his houle familly!
