Shows where there’s clearly genuine love for the material from the crew are always the best
Right? And you can tell that it's *everyone* too, or at least the majority. From the writers to the animators...even the weaker episodes still have some solid moments in them. It's not a masterpiece but you can tell that they really cared.
Exactly!!! Like a show and the voice acting for it is usually good when the voice actors are enjoying themselves. There are some cartoon shows that seem promising, but end up lacking good voice acting just because the voice actors aren’t having fun nor putting any effort into it. But here you can just TELL they’re having fun and it makes the show all the more entertaining.

Especially with how it shows the boys knowing Donnie’s physical boundaries, since he’s shown to be uncomfortable with most touch, it’s great :)

@@vulpixfairy1985 from what I've been experiencing most of those who 'hate' on Rise are the 2012 nostalgia people whom I'd kinda understand. As they didn't get anytime to grieve their shows lose. Ended in 2017 and rise started in 2018.
At least there was 5 years between 2003 series end and 2012 start. We got time to deal with the end and lose of our tmnt turtles.
As most 2003 fans like myself who have given this 2018 a shot have loved it. It comes second or in my case first it beats my 2003 and 87 nostalgia love.
It came after the 2012 series ended. If they would have maybe done the show 2 years after it might have done better.
The only thing that actually upsets me about this show is we did not get nearly enough screen time with them as little turtle tots

I suggest checking out Lego Monkie Kid! It honestly fits in the same boat as ROTTMNT! Really good, pretty funny, amazing animation and good story too!

@@tourmelion9221 rewatch the movie on Netflix as much as possible. Just make sure you don’t hit replay constantly because that counts as one. Maybe just put it on every night before you sleep and turn the volume down?

Love this show getting the positive attention is honestly deserves. Hope nickelodeon brings it back cause it deserves so much more than what it was given. Especially after the movie holy moly.

Honestly there are some grievances I have with the show and it sometimes it feeling mentally draining to just sit through one episode of ROTTMNT, but I can admit in my opinion I think the humor can be really good sometimes (and relatable). Like one scene where Leo’s about to hit Mikey with a frying pan in “Flushed but not Forgotten” with him saying, “Snitches get stitches” genuinely made me chuckle lol, also I love Raph.
