I know that he's teamed up with a lot of actors and you really can't go wrong if you like the type of Movies Jackie stars in.

For me there are 6 legends of Asian martial artists movies: Bruce Lee- He brought to America the culture of Chinese martial art. Very serious in his acting and a proficient fighter. He opens the eyes of the world to how amazing martial art is. Jackie Chan - He brought something new to martial art movies. He brought a unique sense of comedy and has the most incredible stunts in any videography history. I will always appreciate how funny and serious he got in Drunken Master 1 & 2. Jet Li - He had something very mythical in his acting. He has this amazing silent look in Danny the Dog. The profile of a pro martial artist almost looks like a monk. Having portrayed some of the most iconic martial artists such as Huo Yuanjia in Fearless. Donnie Yen - While many thought the idea of 'Americanizing' every Chinese movie was the only way back in the golden age to broaden the audience. With the mindset of people changing with age, Donnie gave us a vision of how Chinese movies can truly be appreciated internationally in Ip Man. Tonnie Jaa - Chinese movies became popular, but was it the most brutal? Tonnie Jaa brought to the screen how incredibly brutal and exciting Muay Thai is. He brought something fresh to martial art movies as well as being an amazing stuntman. Michael Jai White - This guy is a multiple black belt 3rd Degree Karate Jiu Jitsu. So he is not just acting. Movies such as Never back down shows underground fight, even so, he remains true to his Karate style high posture kicks and punches and lethal submission moves.

So amazing its hard to believe but this guy looks like another Bruce Lee with humour and a long way road to success well done jackie !! My favorite film is Drunken Master but..I've been watching Jackie Chan's movies since 34 years and it's nearly impossible to pick which one is the best because he has so many great movies. When he took that jump and crashed against that heli leaving him unconscious, that was probably the closest to death he's ever been. No insurance company wanted to insure him 😅 Haven't spoken to him in a while, but I have fond memories of him.
My favourite Jackie Chan movie.... that's a hard question. I don't really have a favorite, just some that I like more than others. The first Jackie Chan movie I ever saw was "Project A" when it was on Dutch tv in 1997 or 1998. I loved all the fight scenes but specifically the first bar fight (macaroni!). The next week they were showing "First Strike". I almost spat out my drink at the Koala underwear. The ladder fight at the funeral home, when you look at it closely, many hand (and finger) prints can be seen on the top floor which shows that he had done that scene many times over. I also LOVE the fight with all the blue doors in "Mr. Nice Guy". And on "Accidental Spy" when the woman asks him "what do you see?" And he replies "Watermelon" because they had just driven through a market and there where watermelons on the front window of the car/truck. Btw the name of Yuen Biao is pronounced as Yuen Bioo (the "ioo" pronounced as "you"). When Jackie was making "Project A" and was thinking of including a bycicle chase he was told that Steven Spielberg was also using a bycicle or bycicles in "ET" so he was about to skip the bycicle chase. So, when "ET" was released he and his team went to watch it. They were of course very happy that "ET"'s bycicle part was nothing like what they had in mind for their movie, so they were very happy to include it into their movie. About the making of "Police Story" (and especially the scene where Jackie slides down the pole with all the lights on it) the electricity on the lights was supposed to be of low power so that it would look good but Jackie would not get hurt. But the light technician did something wrong so the lights on the pole were on full power. So Jackie got real electricity shocks and burns. On "Who Am I?" where he was fighting Ron Smoorenburg, Ron Smoorenburg had so much trouble fighting like the Jackie Chan Stunt Team, that they eventually replaced him with Brad Allen who was a member of the stunt team. Brad was wearing the same outfit that Ron had been wearing, and they managed to make the fight look like Jackie was still fighting Ron Smoorenburg. Which I think is a huge effort. Because Ron Smoorenburg was 6'2" (1.88m) and Brad Allen was 5' 1/4" (1.63m) Sadly Brad Allen died on August 7th 2021 at the young age of 48. I know of many more trivia and references, but it's 3.45 AM here in Holland. So if you want to read more, let me know!
I bought The Foreigner on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of acting JC put in./ Usually, his movies are mostly about action with very little acting chops required of JC. With, the Foreigner, it's a step up. I hope there are more like these in the future and fewer Chinese Zodiacs.
A true actor who did his all real actions only for his fan another than who does this kind of risk taking actions where you can die too , just salute him, a love from a true JC's fan , long live JC love you
I got to meet Jackie Chan about the time when Rush Hour came out. He had a autobiography book coming out and he was doing a book signing in my town. It was at a Target, and the line wrapped all the way around the building before you even made it inside it. The unfortunate part about this story was that I ended up losing that signed book several years later. I was so distraught about it.
My favorite is 'who am i'. remember i came home from school and my dad was watching it. took a rest before starting home work watching the last part of it. when the big slide jump was coming up he made sure i was paying attention saying "remember, this is Chan doing all this. no safety, no stunt doubles". so far he was just doing fighting so i wasn't too impressed, then he does the jump and remembering what my dad said i nearly though Chan committed suicide.

Rumble in the Bronx, and he is still handsome as ever❤❤❤❤❤
I got to meet Jackie Chan about the time when Rush Hour came out. He had a autobiography book coming out and he was doing a book signing in my town. It was at a Target, and the line wrapped all the way around the building before you even made it inside it. The unfortunate part about this story was that I ended up losing that signed book several years later. I was so distraught about it.
Jackie chan is my favourite actor all time...he is a special child of God and God bless him with good health and success
i'm starting to think jackie chan is immortal
Love Jackie Chan🥰🤗
This was well put together. Thank you sir
