Loved your "travel stories"with your sax Lynden! Recently I was at Nice airport and some guy got a trombone out of his case and started playing and the whole departure lounge started singing and dancing. Brilliant.
I took my sax to Crete on an Art course and the group I was with asked me to play one evening and it was a lovely experience! Definitely recommend it. For getting chatting to people it's more effective than having a dog!
I know you’re joking but it would sound amazing played in the middle of a lake, the sound would skim across the top of the water and be incredibly lovely 🎷🎷🤝🤝😎😎
Thank you for this vid. I am all agree with you. I used to sail a lot. And i always bring my ténor sax on boat. When I put the anchor, or in the marinas, I play for myself 30 minutes just before the sundown. Rachel time, if there are boats near the mooring, or people in the wharf, they applause and say ‘ encore’ . As you say, Linden, it is a Nice way to meet people, and to enjoy the beautiful location you are in holidays. I play sax only 30 min, because I am aware of the tranquility of the other people… Thank s again for your vids
My wife nearly left me when she heard me play, no not really! Lovely vid Lynden, take my tenor to my daughters in SFO regularly on Virgin Atlantic, no probs.
I can see the error of my ways here ! I should have taken up the Harmonica … However ! It does prompt the idea of a lesson on how to play “ Cafe del Mar “ style sax . Brilliant as usual Lynden .
An inexpensive curved soprano is another compact solution for travel for those needing and excuse to get one. Big novelty factor but it comes with its unique challanges. Lovely story on how you met Mrs B.
You won’t get any of those on Ryanair 😂 British Airways no problem at all. I usually take mine in a suitcase. I take my travel tenor which is the cheaper one. I love going busking in Europe because people are so receptive. Another great topic Lynden.

Absolutely right! 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎
My wife would love it - as long as I paddle my kayak out to the middle of the lake to practice!

Absolutely 👍
My baritone sax case actually has rings that appear to be for a strap.
Incredible.
Hi David, that’s unbelievable, do the manufacturers think that you’ll just chuck it over your shoulder 😂😂🎷🎷🤝🤝

Yanagisawa made in Japan. They must have incredible technique.

Thank you so much 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎
I had to buy an extra ticket and seat to get my alto on a Ryan air flight. In the end the air hostess told me to put it in the overhead locker.
@@RskSmilesthey are horrible to musicians.... horrible people Ryanair!
The soft case for the tenor I don’t think will fit in the overhead bin. What about getting digital saxophone.
Good idea 🎷🎷😎😎🤝🤝
If you leave the instrument for a week it leaves you for a month. Better bring it
Absolutely right 🎷🎷😎😎🤝🤝
