On the sixth day, God said let there be safety rock! And then there was safety rock.
but then the rock was destroyed by shagaru and the hunter proclaimed, crap
thats simply what you think, until half-way through the fight
This quest made you feel like a true hero.
You battled with this thing for some time now and all of the sudden you hear the victory theme building up and you get pumped up with adrenalin , you dance with the monster , squeezing in every little hit you can get..
and then it happens , the beast is slain ... A big rush of happiness!

Lets' be fair here; in a world where they generally don't build up monsters to be threats of any kind excluding mht- it was the first time they constantly brought the gore/shagaru into question. It DID feel like a threat in comparison to other flagship monsters because the other games don't push their monsters into your faces the way gore was. So, in short- yes it was satisfying to fight and kill.... now that I think about it though monster hunter doesn't exactly need that build up just the first time challenge to warrant satisfaction... *shrugs*
I love how the rage fille3d gore magala turns into the wise and powerful Shagaru Magala, turning from a deadly shadow into an all seeing golden light,.

He is my number 1 favorite as well so is Chaotic gore Magala.

Guardevoir I like shagaru a lot as well (being around 3rd on my favourite fights list)
Despite how easy he is to me, he's still my favorite. I love his weapons and have fought him well over 100 times. He's never bored me since I always have to pay attention or lose a chunk of health and with all the crap happening during the fight it just feels badass to get through everything he's throwing at you.

I always thought Shagaru was a reference to Satan in some way. His "Gore" form is his demonic and terrible apearence, and Shagaru is his former-angel form, releasing his true power and demostrating that no for being covered by golden glitters and being surrounded by light means you're a good guy.
I mean, when you look at gore's and shagaru's stuff, it's obvious that Capcom sees the Gore as Satan and Shagaru as an Archange. All Shagaru's stuff have archangel or sins related name, whereas it's demonic for Gore. The whole monster was built to show the light coming from absolute darkness and provide a sort of stressful monster without actually being too strong to fight.

140 Shagaru is so much fun with a Regios HBG set. It is a frantic, chaotic fight and being able to slam a new round into the mag while somersaulting is the only thing that keeps you alive and your heart pumping as you frantically try to gun down a golden god.

Shagaru was one of the best fights i had in MH. It wasn't to hard but it was fun and fast paced, the opening sequence was also cool. But the best thing about this fight was the god damn AWESOME THEME!
I gotta say dude, this theme remains my favourite mix you've done so far.
Lao Shan Lung and Mizutsune are a close second.

For so much of the game, I preferred Insect Glaive for the sense of power I got, but I just prefer Charge Blade. Huge shield = Less carting = Asshole teammates don't get pissy for losing zenny.
I don't understand how there's not a deviant Shagaru. I carted so many freaking times to high rank Shag and I'm like "damn stop putting up my ass"

I died sooooo many times on the Gore Magala. It caused me to stop playing MH4U for a month or so. Yet, when I fought this, I easily beat it in 1 go. (I think it may have been because I dumped out my pack and filled it with healing items and bombs....
lol, I defeated the HR version, and he doesn't even touched me, even with the frenzy :v

First time i ever fought gore, i died twice and had literally a sliver of health left, going to jump off a cliff when my palico killed it.
That was with an insect glaive before i actually cared about extracts enough to stop vaultspamming.
I do a full re-run of the game, use a sword/shield and full barroth armour.
No deaths, thing's dead before the 10-minute mark.
Ok I can now die happy.

i know i'm always requesting different OSTs because there are so many good ones in MH but can you take Alatreon and Raizex to the poll options? Alatreon is my fav monster and confirmed for MHX while Raizex' theme is my favourite from MHX so far, together with the arena one, and holy crap they did an awesome job with the MHX soundtracks

I soloed the event one in monster hunter generations. With maxed duram armor and a maxed magma hammer. He is one of my favorite elder dragons. His fight is so cool.

The number of monster themes is fixed (unless new MH comes out!), so sooner or later I'll cover all of your favorites as well. I find it really fun thing to do on my free time, so, yeah, it's probably just a matter of time :)

In fact from what I've seen all subspecies for all flagships are absent, if not a majority of monsters. There are less monsters in X than in 4U.
Dammit...y-you can't be serious...no Barioth...no Jade Barroth, no Glacial Agnaktor, no Gigginox, not even Ivory or Abyssal Lagiacrus and he still hasn't even been confirmed to have a special variant...it's great that there's special variants and even Dinovaldo is confirmed to have a subspecies/special variant(Incinerating Blade Dinovaldo) but that news doesn't make up for the loss of all those monsters and their subspecies!!! Q~Q so much for my dream of hunting the great Abyssal Lagiacrus

I hate to be a soul crusher, but I don't think the chances of fighting an Abyssal Lagiacrus is very high at all, considering that it's an underwater only fight. Dinovaldo does have a variant yes, and I've heard exactly one person say that it was horrifying (though Whitegale Nargacuga is kind of a joke from what I've seen...)
Monster Hunter X to me does the minimum of what people want I think with having all flagships in the game, but I would really like subspecies for these monsters as well as new content.... I'm personally disappointed that Seregios doesn't get one, or at least a variant... :(
All I can ask is for 5th Gen or XUltimate to have a boat load of content,or any amount of content to rival and surpass 4 ultimate with G rank.

I remember being so scared of fighting village Shagaru in MH4U. I would just do a bunch of random quests to pass time until my friend was like, "Just do it. If ya die, ya die." So I go to fight it, and I kill it in like 13 minutes w/o fainting. It was an awesome battle, though.

..Gore Mangala is still my favourite and oddly this one is easier to kill than its brother or cousin seems certain monsters regardless of difficulty are either easier to kill or not
