Yay! 10,000+! You go, girl! I’m hot coffee in the morning…2 cups. After that, meh…occasionally a cup of tea in the afternoon, with a snack, if I need it. But in the summer, I do enjoy a large Dunkin iced coffee as a treat on the weekends. But, no caffeine after about 3pm. I do like to sleep, after all.
I love the look of those quilts, Amy! I love sewing quilt tops for the charities my quilt guild supports. Someone will love to cuddle with those special quilts! If something doesn't work on a quilt, or I've run out of fabric, which never happens, into the stash I go. The orange yellow fabric is an added layer of sunshine! The purple hair is back! I’m so jealous. 😂 I thought the yo-yo quilt behind you was an EPP flower quilt 😂 Those buttons are gorgeous but I’m a sucker for vintage clothes, fabrics and buttons from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. That’s not a mistake on your piano key border, it’s a deliberate decision so it’s a design choice. I can’t wait to see the Hawaiian quilt you come up with. I’m weird in that I was a coffee drinker all the way until I was ill. I couldn’t stomach it the thought of it made me 🤢 now I drink tea 95% of the time apart from the two cups of real coffee I have every morning. I need them to kick start my day. 😂

Hello Beautiful! The two tops turned out great. I love the “happy accident” in the border. I have been using piano keys a lot lately. The top I’m currently working on, I plan to “float” the piano keys in the border fabric. I too love Mary Fons, must get that book. I’m a coffee drinker, all day, regular and decaf, black and with cream, hot and cold. Occasionally tea. Sparkling water and occasional diet soda too. See you tomorrow.

My morning doesn't start well without two cups of rich black coffee (preferably a Columbian dark roast.) However ---- ahem, I also have the better part of one kitchen cabinet with many kinds of tea. I love them both. My heart leaped when you showed that bag of brightly colored scraps. Ha - as if I need any more fabric. I don't have time to use what I have. I totally love the added yellow in the piano key border. I do "crazy" stuff like that all the time. But of course, I have books by Gwen Marston, Jan Mullen and Victoria Findlay Wolfe that have inspired my quilting style.
We just had dinner with our Old Order Amish Friends! We didn't talk about quilts though. I loved the animal quilts. My favorite drinks are coffee, tea - hot and cold, flavored seltzer water, and plain water. Enjoy your walk

I have an entire container of leftover yo-yos I need to do something with. I have mad angels, quilts, pins, etc. I need to come up with something else and use those things up.
Tea, but mostly Diet Coke. It's my drug of choice. Books oh the books. I want my reading and references in paper! Yes I'm a senior now, but to have it available in my studio is a luxury.
I used to live in Flower Mound north of DFW and I wish I could move back there. I hate winter in Illinois. I like hot tea in the winter, but sweet tea, Pepsi and water year round.

Are you going to make a Hawaiian quilt?. If so, count me in!!! I love the look of one large pattern, but I think it would become overwhelming to needle turn applique and then know I still have to hand quilt it. 24" blocks would be easier to needle turn, and then put them together as a top. I have done a Hawaiian wall hanging, and am working on a throw pillow. I guess I have to remind myself that a queen size quilt, would be a 'many year' project.

I drink a lot of water. Once in a while I’ll add fresh lemon, sliced cucumber, or halved strawberries (not all at once). No coffee, no tea, and though I admit to soft drinks for caffeine when needed, I just prefer water. I bring True Lemon packets with me when I leave home in case the mood strikes.

The manual ones can be a little tough on your hands and wrists if that can be an issue for you. Like Amy, I use mine a lot for basics shapes, squares, strips etc. it helps wrangle scraps into usable pieces.
Coffee or tea?? I'm in the 'something else' group - and my something else is cordial predominantly. For me, water is too bland so a sugar free cordial works for me. Pepsi max is my treat on hot summer days or days out and about.

For me it’s coffee in the morning to get me moving. When it’s cool outside I love a cup of tea. In the summer it’s a glass of cold unsweet tea.

Tea drnker here. My favorite is Harney and Sons cinnamon mixed with english breakfast and a bit of oat creamer and sugar.
I’ve always found the H&S Cinnamon too sweet but mixing it with a black tea is a great idea! Thank you.

Very cute quilts. Why do you use a 60 mm rotary cutter compared to the 45? Does it make it easier to use the multiple strip ruler? I
I like the 60 for most cutting and it’s the one I’ve got. A 45 is a little easier to manipulate in the stripology but you get used to it.

I would say it depends almost entirely on your budget. I upgraded to the electric and I love it but the go and the mini are both good.
