Love the video & idea for using up our scraps. I like the 2 1/2 gallon bags ... Hard to find in my area, but worth it (in my opinion). Can't wait to see your finished quilt. Hugs, Beverly Kiesel
This is a great block for strings. The color gradation really makes the block. Thank you for another great idea. I had to laugh when I saw your bin for strings and crumbs. My strings alone fill a large laundry basket. I know I really need to do some sewing. LOL
What a great project! You covered everything from starting, organizing and storing tips. I had cut scraps to do a potato chip block and found that I did not like the look at all. I am thinking I might use all those cut pieces to do the paint chip block it will just be a different size. Thanks for another great video.
These blocks look fun. I checked out Kelly's video and subscribed to her channel. Thank you. I can see where it would be hard to keep up with your pile of scraps. The pile will go down soon. ☺️
Beautiful blocks. Sister Chicks quilting did something similar but then used a 60 degree triangle and made stars for a quilt. I have some strips that I am thinking of using for a 60 degree triangle block for a quilt.
This is a great idea! I have been avoiding my scraps and I am a bit overwhelmed about how many I have. I like the idea of separating them by color into bags. I’m sure it will make it much easier to manage them. Thanks!
Beautiful! Your blocks are gorgeous! ✨ I have the same mental debate you had with the teal block. Sometimes I have to remind myself when I’m stuck on placement that it’s not that serious 😂 If I think about it too much, it would drive be bananas. I hope this helps with everyone’s stash-busting! The dimensions and color groups of the blocks aren’t set in stone so just have fun with it!
This would be an amazing quilt for the Humane Society. I’m guessing you would get a lot of blocks from the generosity of many of your followers. The blocks are so pretty.
I absolutely cannot pitch scraps so love it when i can turn my scraps into something nice….loved the fabrics before and love seeing them repurposed into blocks. This is a great idea! I have 6 young granddaughters so theyve been helping me scrap bust on baby quilts etc. i think im gonna make one of these as well? Thanks Sheri have a great week!
Love this idea, so glad you shared this. I have way too many scraps. Can't wait to make these. So pretty. I have a big bin of 1 1/2 strips. Thank you. Love your videos❤
Looks neat on the design wall! I found a book called Stash Statement by Kelly Young that I am using to “organize” and make something from my scraps. Precarious and Grand Bazaar patterns in this book have caught my eye!
Great new idea! I don’t know the adding machine tape method ( but you know I’m going to search for it now.) LOl😂. I have lots of flannel scraps , and I think they would work too.
Blue is not thrilled this time with the snow. There’s a thin layer of ice halfway through the 8+ inches of snow. Makes for a difficult run through the snow! But we have areas carved out for him,
Love all your video's...... so easy to follow. Just wondering if you dd anymore Longarm Moxie video's or am I just not seeing them? I think the last one i saw was #4.
Really like the paint chip idea for blocks, thank you for sharing and I will check out the other video! Question- when you are piecing the color strips together do you press them before you see them together or do you just sew them and then press when the block is completed. If you said in the video I missed it. Thanks.
I’m not a scrappy quilter so know that my question is not meant as a mean comment :) Do people really buy those small pieces on eBay? Again, not a snarky comment . I would never think of doing that ! Amazing
I totally understand. I have sound sensitivities too, but on other things like chewing and tapping. When that happens to me I turn the sound down or off or even skip ahead. On the flip side, some people love to hear those crinkling sounds and consider it relaxing. Thanks for speaking your mind, I truly appreciate it.

That’s a great idea! I think you’ll love the paint chip blocks.
Oh that looks wonderful! I like it. Controled Scrappy! Yes I could live with that.
Very nice blocks. Thank you for sharing this with us.😊❤
What a fun project! Your finished blocks are so pretty!
Thank you!
Love your idea of gradation blocks. Your strips and strings are soooo pretty. Such lovely fabric to use in this idea. Will love to see it progress!!!!
Thank you so much! I think it’s going to be a fun quilt
Good morning! I think that this is going to be beautiful. Such a good idea. Have a happy sewing day! ❤
Happy sewing day to you too!
This is fabulous! Will check out Kelly and tell her you said 'hi'. Thank you for sharing this idea; can't wait to get started.
Can’t wait to see this one done!! 🤩
Another fun scrappy block. Thank you for sharing.
Great ideal!!! Love the blocks!!!

You are so welcome! Glad you found her channel!
I love those paint chip blocks. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I don’t have enough scraps to make it. I love gradients.
The paint chip blocks are gorgeous! I LOVE them. What a great idea; time for me reorganize my scraps! ❤
Go for it!
Great idea! Love those blocks. ❤
Love the scrapquiltidea! I'm looking forward to the result

That’s the way to do it! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that sooner
I love the way those blocks look! This is a great idea for those shorter strips!❤
Love them! thx for the idea. I will go watch Kelly's video now, smiles.

Yes! I constantly have to remind myself about color placement. I may be being too intentional.
This is a great idea. I love the way the blocks are turning out 😊
Your hair is so pretty! Love this idea. And people who sell their crumbs. I love working with crumbs lol
Aww thank you! Maybe I’ll have an eBay auction soon for crumbs. I always mention it in a video when I do.
What a fun block. Thanks for sharing. I will go check out the other site you mentioned.
Love is paint chip idea. Right now I'm using up my mountain of 2 1\2"
Sqs. Really like your programs.
Me too, and you know how many 2 1/2" squares I have!
Very pretty blocks !
This would be an amazing quilt for the Humane Society. I’m guessing you would get a lot of blocks from the generosity of many of your followers. The blocks are so pretty.
Love this series!
Wow, really creative way to be frugal and be an artist.
That is very interesting, just might have to try it! Thanks!
The paint chip blocks look great! My favorite color is also anything in the aqua and turquoise family. I like them mixed with greens and purples, too!
I absolutely cannot pitch scraps so love it when i can turn my scraps into something nice….loved the fabrics before and love seeing them repurposed into blocks. This is a great idea! Another great idea Sherri! After the current scrap quit, I will give this one a try.
These are so cute! Love how they look on your design wall.
L🧵O🧵V🧵E THIS Sherri!
Very inspiring!🌈
Vacuum seal a bag of scraps does that even work??
Haha! Well the air tries to get back into the bags, but if you vacuum sealed?? That actually might work!
The blocks are so pretty.

Flannel scraps would be beautiful!
Good idea😊
Loving this!
They look really nice.
Love this project! How's Blue doing with the snow? We used to have to cut paths in the yard with our tractor for our spoiled pup. See you Friday.
Blue is not thrilled this time with the snow. There’s a thin layer of ice halfway through the 8+ inches of snow. Makes for a difficult run through the snow! But we have areas carved out for him,
Wow. That’s looks so good!
Wow what a great idea
Love all your video's...... so easy to follow. Just wondering if you dd anymore Longarm Moxie video's or am I just not seeing them? I think the last one i saw was #4.
I plan to add more longarm videos after no buy January is over.

Usually I press during the process since they’re so narrow. Easier to get the iron in there in pairs rather than the whole block at a time.
Good morning. You have great ideas on how to handle leftover scraps. Have you ever stitched on used drier.sheets? ❤
No, but I have heard of that
Love this!
I'm working on a 16 patch from my scraps and if I ever get it done it'll be mine since I've yet to make myself a quilt
I hear you! I LOve mine so much I can’t think about gifting one, but sooner or later I probably will have to.
Thank you great idea ❤
I love it❣️👍
Cute idea 😊
Ewe, pretty blocks. I think I'm going to do these too! Thanks for sharing!
Oh I hope you do!
i would like to know where you got your bins( the plastic ones) please and thank you

I have spent the last 2 days reorganizing my scraps and materials…I have almost as much scrap as unused 😮
What pattern did you use for your cat wall hanging that hangs under your self behind you?
Here you go: www.fatquartershop.com/haunted-halloween-mystery-quilt-along-week-two-free-pdf-quilt-pattern I changed mine a little on the tail area.
I never heard of the 2 1/2 gallon bags filled with scraps. But, I think I may just find the 2 1/2 gallon bags and fill them with my own scraps.
I have something similar going on but mine are 3” wide not 5” 🙂
This is great in any size I think
I’m not a scrappy quilter so know that my question is not meant as a mean comment :) Do people really buy those small pieces on eBay? Again, not a snarky comment . I would never think of doing that ! Amazing
Yes ma’am! I’ve done it many times.
Great idea for getting those scraps outta here......
😅
Waiting for your eBay scrap bag 😂😂 like new project
I’ve learned to turn off the sound on videos when I don’t like the sound. Easy fix.
I have triple this…
A seam pressed open is a weaker seam.
That could be a concern, but I’ve never had an issue with weak seams. Lowering the stitch length is recommended. I use 1.8.
When my scraps get to be too small I use them to stuff a dog bed to donate to local shelter.
Looks like yellow is your least favorite color and obviously teal/blue is favorite.
Haha! Ya know, I’ve always had a hard time finding good yellows
The bag crinkling is untenable. Can’t watch. I’m sorry because I love your videos.
