My mom used to tell me to eat it and this was one of the few Chinese medicinal treats I enjoyed as a child. If anyone’s wondering what it tastes like, it’s citrusy, but has a menthol quality to them.
Just an fyi for anyone who doesn’t know, fruits like pomelo, grapefruit, and seville oranges all have a specific enzyme in them that can interact with a lot of medications, either making the medication not work at all or be twice as effective, which can be very dangerous depending on the medication. Please read up about any medications that you may take to see if it has a reaction with these fruits before consuming! ❤️

I should have washed them better, they are a bit bitter, but the overall recepie is really good. Thanks for giving me an excuse to eat more candy Edit: my one remaining braincell told me to put them in a glass bowl. I kinda broke it and now i have glass all over my candy.. next time, I'll use a plastic bowl. Lesson learned 👏
