At the Volvo dealership, my brother and I were trying out one of Volvo cars. After test drive which was absolutely amazing, I asked about how to open the hood. The old man playfully clapped in his hands and I looked back at the hood thinking it would open. He bursted out loud laughing at me because I really thought you can open the hood by clapping your hands because Volvo as I remember X90 or so, was extremely comfortable, high tech, high quality and beautiful car. Very well made.
I currently have a xc90 T6 and never once have an EV. This could be my upgrade but my main concern is reliability. Also in Asia the temperature gets real hot and humid in the summer and really wet in the rainy season. I don't know if the battery can withstand the conditions.
it will, as Volvo SA has it listed on its site, however SA is a big country - 600km won't even get you halfway from CPT to JHB, how long would you need to charge for a full charge, you would need to charge up twice, with almost no charging stations here. normally the drive time is around 13 hours, but if you have to add 2 charges at x amount of hours per charge, it would be a very long drive indeed. Hybrid makes more sense in SA, fully EV is not the best idea imho, also, lithium battery manufacturing is in no way shape or form, sustainable and "green".
I am truly in awe. It is the car I always believed was possible. Not having to compromise on impact in any way. Well done Volvo, it was always going to be you 👏🏾

I live in Brazil, specifically in the northeast of the country where temperatures até quite high. It passes 40° degrees easily. Can high temperatura damage the battery pra even shorten its life?
High temperatures can damage the high voltage battery, especially if it is exposed for a long time. If possible, avoid leaving the car unconnected at temperatures higher than 30 °C (86 °F). The car can actively cool the battery while it is parked, but this consumes power and leads to a fall in the State Of Charge (SOC). If the car is charged while it is parked the battery can be cooled without being discharged.
